This is the real Mazar-i-Sharif strain known to Afghan farmers as "Mazari" or "Balkhi", originating in the Balkh region of Northern Afghanistan, the heartland of Afghan cannabis culture, near to modern day Uzbekistan.

The Mazar-i-Sharif strain is very large and potentially very high yielding, displaying both "sativa" and "indica" characteristics. Plants can grow to over 4 metres.

Afghan farmers harvest this variety in October and November to produce the legendary "Shirak-i-Mazar" or "Milk of Mazar" charas, arguably the world's finest oldschool hashish.

As with all hashish cultivars, this variety can be expected to show a range of chemotypes: high THC, low CBD; equal ratio THC:CBD; and low THC, high CBD.
