Hello everyone 😊
Week 22 = harvest week.
Just cut the plant and she's hung up to dry. The plan was to keep the plant whole but I decided, due to my injured elbow, it would be smarter to just use separate branches. More lightweight buds to move around haha.
I also splitted the stem in the final 5 days. Don't know if it will have some effect. I didn't wanted to take the risk for longer since I don't have a microscope. She flowered for 10,5 weeks so I guess she was done.
I cut away al the leaves that had brown or crispy leaves/tips. The other ones I left. Also maximum branch lengths to slow down the drying process. Last year the buds were dry too quick. I hope to leave them hanging for 10 to 14 days now with a more controlled process .
It's the first time im trying this technique. I will keep the airflow on point to avoid bad conditions. The room temperature is around 18° Celsius I guess. Average room humidity.
I inspected the buds well and I think this is a good year 😊 no mold, lots of brown pistils and pretty compact. I flushed for 3 weeks so no chance on bad taste I guess.
One minor thing : still some popcornbuds. Discovered them a bit too late after I already removed some others a few weeks prior. Minor mistake.
The Harvest report will follow during November. Gonna let them dry well before testing.
Thx to everyone who followed along with this round. I had some good advice and I learned a lot of good stuff.
See u in 4 weeks for smoke report.
Adios😉
