Tiny bud sites are forming all over the place now, and I’m really excited to see how the flowers will stack up over the next couple of weeks. The plants are still looking a bit limey, so the colour isn’t quite where I’d like it to be yet — but they’re clearly moving in the right direction and putting energy into the right places. My approach from here is to stay patient and not overreact: keep the environment stable, continue with mild, consistent feeding, monitor the new growth closely, and avoid making too many changes at once. At this stage, I think a calm and steady hand makes more sense than chasing perfection. If the fresh growth improves and the bud sites keep developing, I’ll be happy. 08.03 Been slow week. RC#1 is pretty much there. Leaves are starting to yellow so I'm going to start flushing today. RC#2 is a little behind but has made up for that in overall size. Smell isn't as strong as I thought it would have been by now but i could be nose blind to it! Other pots in the tent consist of, northern lights, royal cheese and royal haze. Its was too much effort to do a diary for 7 plants!

Starting to get some nice purple colours on #4 buds and Ozz leaves! Not super visible on the video but looking really good. Also had an unpleasant surprise the other morning, due to wind gusts the support went out the pot and #4 straight bent to 90 degrees. Looks like it happened around 3/4am and I only saw it around 9am, so she got pretty roughened up but no actual damage to report. Same for Dorel, a brush fell on a lower branch but didn’t break anything. The learning here as it is the second time it happens, both time just before I water them: I suspect drier medium is less efficient in holding the plant when there is a lot of wind. Well well! In just 2 days she went from little purple to actually the whole plant changing color. Curious to see where it’ll go!

This week I let the plant grow freely with no training or cuts applied. I’m waiting for the branches to reach 5 nodes before doing the next topping at the 3rd node, so for now the focus is just on healthy growth and recovery. Everything is developing nicely, and the structure is getting ready for the next apical cut 💪🌿

Week 9 for GMO 8 by atlasseed The indoor smaller plant is really starting to bulk up on the flower size for sure seems like maybe it has another week maybe 2 before being done. While the other plant is now outdoors because i ran out of room indoors & the bud on the outdoor one looks completely different likely because of the 40+ degrees sun outdoors ATM but doesn't have any burn leaves so that's great. Actually looking forward to seeing how she smokes... maybe she gets ran again in a few weeks? 😎

British Delight - Wizard Trees Day 34 - I've watered her with 1500ml of RO tap water with nutrients, mixed individually, in order, and finally pH'd to 6.3. She has vegged really well and is at point now where I'm preparing her to go into bloom. I wanted a nice even canopy to work with, so I've decided to top her at the main stem, to force her to grow in a more uniform manner - as I grow for my own personal supply, I won't top her more because I don't need a huge yield and I like variety, so I want to be able to grow up to four plants at once... I've also removed a couple of her inward facing fan leaves to improve airflow and light penetration 👌🏻

2022-09-17 Plants would need just a few Days longer. But Weather changed drasticly to lots of Rain and Cold. So i cut alot of the Topbuds, to give the rest of the Plant more ventilation and some buds were leaning out under the Roof and were getting wet. I only found 2 small spots of Mold. The rest of the Plant gets harvested next Wednesday, or if i see Mold. But normally Plants are well covered and have place to get airflow now But those Buds are superthick, and airflow is not to gurantee well thats outdoor growing. But iam very Pleased, and in common Honey cream is ready to get harvest. I just hope for 4-5 more Days of Sun- and dry Weather. The Plant smells superlovely, flowery and sweet

The SCROG net was installed on the last day of Week 6, I included a couple pics from that night, to compare with how the plant looked the next day, which was the first day of Week 7. My nerve damaged fingers caused me to be a little rougher with her while the net was going on than I like, but as you can see, she bounced back very quickly and was reaching for the light less than 24 hours after being mangled lol. I will continue to systematically defoliate the upper canopy every night or two for the next several weeks, and will completely strip most everything below the net. Every night or two I'll tuck any branches that need tucking, and will remove any fan leaves covering bud sites. She spread out pretty well in the net, and truth be known i probably could have gotten away with a 6 week veg after, plants are a decent size in the net with the stretch left to go. Flip happens at the end of Week 7 The manganese issue seems to be getting much better by the end of the week. Will keep my pH levels at 5.8 for the remainder of this grow, and any subsequent grows. I also devised a fan mount to save on space in the net. Instead of standing the fan, i simply cut a piece of 1x3 to length, drilled 2 holes in each end, large enough for zip ties to pass through. then I simply zip tied it to the tent poles, took the legs off the fan, and screwed the base to the board. I placed a piece of foam on top, as the screws were a shade long and I was afraid the small protruding tip would eventually puncture the tent. Works much better than expected. No movement in the mount at all.

My Zkittles is farther ahead of any of the others, she is really going yellow, she’s at day 67 but isn’t quite ready by the looks of the trichs, other than that and wishing I hadn’t underestimated these genetics and wishing I had put a scrog up when I had the chance and knowing I should have put one in. Lesson learned I’ll do better 🤙🏼🤙🏼

It has been another amazing week of the plants growing. I have been watching as the Fruity Freak leaves become progressively more fern-like, and ornamental as a result! Based on my Banizzle grows, I knew I needed to understand plant nutrients in a more meaningful way if I wanted these plants to thrive. So, I decided to get a soil test (see Ref. 1 below on how to perform a test) to understand what nutrients my plants needed. The report I received advised that I needed to add 200 lbs/acre of nitrogen, 150 lbs/acre of phosphorus, and 190 lbs/acre of potassium (see picture labeled Pic.1 (FYI you can't see these images unless you login to growdiaries)). I then researched what to do with my results (Ref. 2 helped), and I figured out that my nutrient needs of 200-150-190 fall close to a 2-1-2 ratio. I then looked at different types of organic fertilizers (see Ref. 3 and Ref. 4) and considered that I already had a 3-10-5 fertilizer (Vermibloom) on hand. I discovered Dr Earth’s Alfalfa Meal is 2-1-2 and includes beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizae (to promote healthy plant growth and disease resistance). However, I knew I would be low on nitrogen if I only used those two fertilizers. Therefore, I decided to buy some blood meal (12-0-0). I also liked that blood meal is more fast acting while the other two are more moderate. I hunted around for a solid fertilizer calculator and found an amazing tool from the University of Georgia Extension (Ref. 5). I entered all three fertilizers into the calculator, and it kicked out the exact amount of each fertilizer I needed to apply to 1 square foot (see Pic. 2). As I am using 10-gallon fabric pots (that can hold 1.5 cubic feet, but I put stone on the bottom and there’s space left at the top) I decided to use the one square foot application rate as I can always add more later, but I can’t take it away. Not only did I want to understand the nutrients I needed, but I also wanted to understand the structure of the soil (as it was not included in my test results). North Dakota State University has a nice page that discusses this (Ref. 6), and I performed a soil ribbon test (see Video 1) based on this information. I determined my soil to be medium textured (which is great), but I have seen occasional water pooling on the surface, suggesting that it may be more of a medium-fine. This means adding peat moss, coco coir, or other amendments might improve drainage (and plant hydration) and allow for roots to grow more easily. In the long run, I plan to use compost to enhance the soil structure and nutrients. I filled the bottom of my 10-gallon fabric pots with a ½” of pea stone to allow for drainage (Pic. 3). I then partially filled two 5-gallon buckets with topsoil from near where I will plant (but not in an area the roots will reach). I used a digital scale to measure the amount of fertilizers recommended by the calculator (Pic. 4, 5, and 6) and added it to one of the 5-gallon buckets (see Pic. 7). I mixed the fertilizers into the soil as evenly as possible (Pic. 8 and 9). I then poured a two-inch layer of non-fertilized soil, then peat moss, and then fertilized soil (in a roughly 2:1:1 ratio) and blended them together. I repeated this until the pot was full (getting additional soil as needed), and then I repeated the process for the other three pots. I set the filled fabric pots in my garage (Pic. 10) for two days to allow any upset bugs to flee into my garage instead of my house. I then moved the pots (wrapping them in a contractor garbage bag to prevent making a mess) into the room with the grow light. I placed a board on top of the fabric pots to insulate the plants (in their smaller pots) from the cold soil (Pic. 11). Once the soil in the fabric pots reaches room temperature, I will transplant. (Ref. 1) This video shows the method I used to take a soil sample. I didn’t have a field to test, so I took four samples from the area where I will eventually plant outdoors and blended them together. Due to problems with autoflower genetics and refusing to flower. I am pleased with final result. I knew my yield would take a hit by using 3 gallon pots. Just was not planning for these plants to take damn 100 days. Roots were coming thru bottom of bags. Not good. But happy results and beautiful purple nugs. See what the cure does. Edit/ update: with few days of curing smell and taste have dramatically improved. There is basically no woody taste or smell, just grapey and sour with a hint of spicy. I change my strain score to 9/10. Due to not being able to update after 1 hr of original post. The only reason I give a 9 is because of Flowering problem. Update: week of curing smooth as butter and fruity and flowery flavor mellow draw with a little kick no harshness at all. Pleseant take.

Amazing how Criticical Orange Punch took some advantages of the nice weather. She s growing hard. Did some defoliation on her. She did an extra week in vegetation due to several defoliation sessions. Milky Way is doing great although she's not that tall as I was expecting. Smell is mix of lemon and mint with some spicy tones. Realy nice. 🤩 Some top layer for both with plagron bat guano. They had some treatment with compost tea last week. Now just watering every 2nd day.

Day 104. Last Tangies chop day. So , as you know three girls have dry results at the moment. Fatty tangie 69.65 Foxtail tangie 72.03 Slim Fat tangie 65.03 Upsidedown tangie still in dry tent, but one hanger was left with most of leaves for dry trim and other two made 29+ and 35+ , so its AMAZING that this plant will make 3 oz, look at week 4 and you will understand why i am so happy and amazed ;) Lanky aka Sativa dominant tangie which is choped today could still go, its day 104 from seed. This girl and really all of them except upsidedown should be defoliated, but its my first auto run purely indoors and i read so many crapy results, didnt want to stress them a lot. From 6 girls only 5 sprouted. All very diff just two fatties where lookalikes . Upside down had strange life and she looked and was trained ( toped ) other way than her sisters. Foxtail early started so quick and so strong but ended with airy foxtailed buds and last lanky aka sativa diminant had loads of colas in videos before harvest its easy to spot she should be lolitoped higer, again i would ajust it during grow, but fears about autos prevented me from using many tricks. With all love to RealGorillaSeeds , this bach was crap. Day 108. I have holidays and UpsidedownTangie with leaves was still damp as was Lanky Tangies all bigger buds ( if that airy long strech but crystaly as f@#k crap around stemp we can call weed or bud ;)))) ) So both where left for extra 3 weeks overdry ;))) hope it wont be harsh from that. I can guarantee that Upsidedown is the Champ at moment, those 4 top branches will have an ounce in them, so plant will be 90+. With Lanky Tangie is diff story, she is airy i needed to trim and lolitop her a lot more, she just couldnt feed every bud, still that pheno is super crystaly. I like it and from 2 bottom branch hangers i got 35+, so 3 other will have like 45-50 on them, again loads of .... Thats my nutes, in bag epsom salt, it was first grow with all of them, as you see for 9 plants I used almost nothing. In 3 weeks i will have full weights and smoke report, i like Tangie more everyday, still not even close to my fav taste ... P.s. i had a bit of leftovers of topmax, bio grow and bio bloom. Max like 200 ml. Bio grow still have a bit left in promo bottle. Less is more ! Day 125 Upsidedown Tangie 93.4 - current Champ, its amazing what she managed to do ... Lanky Tangie - 76.8 So total for all 5 Tangies is : 376.91 Not bad, still i will update later and ill explain why i didnt liked them ...
