Hello Growmies, As we conclude the sixth week with our Epic Buzz plants in the Tent-X Ultimate Grow Showdown, we've seen substantial growth and faced some climatic challenges head-on. The plants have thrived under a regimen of defoliation, lollipopping, and scrogging, developing into robust specimens ready for the flowering stage. The extended watering intervals and the consistent application of our chosen nutrient blend, Alga Grow, Sugar Royal, Power Roots, and Orca, have supported their vigorous development, ensuring they are well-nourished and hydrated. However, managing the environmental conditions, particularly during the night, has presented some hurdles. The recent introduction of a custom-built extraction box has been our latest strategy to combat the high humidity levels we've been battling during the lights-off period. This innovative solution has shown promising results, offering a more controlled grow atmosphere by extracting humid air directly outside, preventing it from lingering in the lung area of our setup. Despite this improvement, the integration of the Mars Hydro fan with the Tent-X system remains unresolved, leading to less than ideal fluctuations in our VPD levels. The lack of support from Mars Hydro, Secret Jardin, and even TrolMaster in providing clear guidance for this integration has been a stumbling block. We're considering a shift back to the reliable Prima Clima system, known for its seamless compatibility and ease of use. In the spirit of community and shared growth, we're reaching out for any advice on connecting a 5-phased PWM motor to the TrolMaster controller. The collective wisdom of this community has always been a guiding light, and any insights would be greatly appreciated. This week the photoperiod girls continued to show steady growth and healthy development. Their leaves are a rich green, with wide blades and strong node stacking. The plants are branching nicely without excessive stretch, which means the 18-inch, 50% light setting is still working perfectly. The cover crop has taken off and is providing great soil protection, though it may need some trimming soon to prevent light competition. Humidity and pest prevention measures (sticky traps, nematodes applied earlier) are keeping things stable with no major pest pressure noted. On the feeding front, the plants have been living off the nutrients in their soil with no deficiencies showing. The plan is to water with silica tonight (Sept 3) to strengthen cell walls and prep them for training. Topping is scheduled this week as well — this will help shape the canopy and encourage even bushier growth moving into later veg. Overall, Week 4 has been smooth and productive. The plants are thriving in their environment, setting the stage for training and stronger structural development in Week 5.

12/2- All 6 are looking good. Keeping temp around 76 and RH 80-85%. Using a reptile fogger as a humidifier and I'm happy to report it works beautifully. 12/3- Going smoothly. Keeping soil moist and conditions right.

Week 3 for our ztrawberries from fastbuds 🍁 We removed the 2 lower branches and leaves. We gave some master root this week. Some of the plants already showed the first preflowers, flowering is starting soon! We also placed a net above just in case we need to sustain the buds in later flowering

Trichomes are plenty but crystal clear. The buds in the center cola are tight and dense. It is smelly as ever. Patiently waiting.

Finally! The end has come. Day 77. Whole plant hanging In paper bag In dark Didnt take a wet weight. So many colors poping at the time of the cut. I starved her of water for about 5 days and then watered today, put her to bed for 4 hours and then cut her down. I want more water in her roots and stems so that I can have a longer dry. Will update with a harvest as soon as she's dry.

Some clones look ready enough (pics) and I don't want the big plant to stay in veg too long. So I've decided to plant the clones and see if they grow well. Anyway, I'll switch to 12-12 in 3 or 4 weeks. Applied some biobizz alg-a-mic and acti-vera (very light foliar spray). Applied nematodes again: other vendor, the previous applications didn't seem to be very efficient. PS: lights still roughly at same height and intensity (45%)

Big stretch during second week. We'll see when they stop. I will trim the lowest branches one last time before week 3.

Day 36 - In the picture, I demonstrated the efforts I put in for leaf tucking, the back half, so that light can get deeper in the canopy. A had also removed all of the flowering cover crop to prevent it from going to seed. It served its purpose and now serves as compost for my outdoor garden. Day 37 - This plant does not slow down! It is maxed out, for my preference, horizontally. Stretch is slowing down. Bud growth will now be the focus. Day 38 - She really needed a haircut, so she got one. Everytime I do this, I honestly scare myself. I know the potential these plants have, but a mistake that would cause additional stress to the defol can change everything.. cover crop is also cut down and breaking down in my outdoor garden. One last spray down before buds appear and a good feeding to push her through this heavy strip. Love to see worms hanging out on the surface of the soil, breaking down all my top dresses. Day 39 - She's praying to the skies! This plant isn't skipping a beat with vigorous growth! You can see how all those lower sites are now getting adequate lighting! Day 40 - Realized I had stopped adding picture to demonstrate her height. She's a great height! Honestly taller than I had imagined! Nodal spacing is super tight at the top. She's going to have some huge nugs! Really debating on getting another natural co2 generator to get higher levels during peek flower. Loving this plant!! Day 41 - Looks like I havent even taken any material off this plant! I almost wish I would have done a higher lollipop... I need to stop second guessing myself when I lollipop. Now I must ponder the thought of removing more material, or adding some side lighting.. excited to see these flowers start to stack! Day 42 - Life got a little busy for me. I stopped writing down daily changes or updating this. I still did my best to get daily pictures and videos. I will write about the grow as a whole when harvest day comes.
