Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Hi all growers, Day 64 Last week of big bud and last two week of fertilising, then two week opf flushing for the baby. I decided to add calmag to reach a ggod ppm, and aptis regulator because olants are really stressed from the olight intensity in some spoot and i hope to make it stronger. Let's see what's happen now. Day 66 She absolutely needed calmag. I gave 0,5/1lt twice and I already can see the difference in leaves. I think I ll give 0,7/1lt next time. I broghut ppm to 950 last time. I desire 1000 ppm for last weeks of fertilising. today: with ph 7 Ppm 1150 Day 69 Today has been the last feeding day for this lady, i just checked with a micro and it looks like i ve got 15/20 days max left. So from day 71 i'll start flushing with ph controlled water at 6.2. today: -ph 7 ppm 1050 Less then 3 weeks now :) ANY SUGGESTION IS WELCOME :)

Update week 2 of Bloom

End of week 4 and things are still moving along despite a few hiccups. Ended up over feeding them at the end of last week and this week we have dropped there ppm down to the 450 ppm mark untill they come around. Didn’t really do to much damage except burn my leaves a bit and maybe slowed there growth a bit this week. Got a laser temperature gun for another project and I’m now able to check my canopy temperature too and it’s great. Canopy sits around 24-25 in the center of the screen and between 21-23 on the rest. Got around 65 D.L.I on the canopy's tallest area in the Center of the screen directly under the light when it passes over. The 1000w HPS is on the rail mover so it’s keeping things from burning and getting too intense. I recently added 2 x 1000x(180w actual) LED “Blurple” lights I had kicking around not been used so I through them in the tent to add some different light spectrums that the HPS doesn’t have. Just a little added extra kick for them, why not rite?...lol been struggling to keep humidity up across all my tents really, got the bare minimum everywhere and only one 1gal humidifier to run in the big room. Temperatures were cold the last week outside in the -20c range so my basement was a bit cold despite the one baseboard heater, which makes things even drier! Lol There has been no need to use either of my air conditioners in my tents for a month or so now even with the 2 x 1000w HPS lights in tents running side x side in the same room. Which is good cause they also drastically drop my humidity, the lights and the air conditioners...ugh. Lol well that’s if so far for now, Cheers 💨

Pre-Flowers On 13/04/2024, a gentle defoliation was carried out to clear away leaves that were obscuring younger bud sites. Additionally, the nutrient regimen was adjusted to incorporate Sensi Bloom at a concentration of 3.6.6 ml/l, with planned incremental adjustments up to 4ml/l as the flowers begin their enchanting journey towards full bloom. 1 hour after the lights were turned on, it was noted that the extractor fan may have been inadvertently disturbed during the defoliation process. This is evident from the slight drooping of the , likely influenced by both temperature fluctuations and the defoliation itself. Remember to always double-check the outlets after each session to ensure smooth operations. Few hours later.... Cropmaster installed/extra 4inch extractor fan attached! 14/04/2024 Undertook defoliation procedures and implemented certain modifications. In the previous evening, Cropmaster experienced LED malfunctions. Consequently, I have resorted to utilizing the Budmasters God 9 once again God.4 Mid-day: installed 60watt side light!

Day 29 29/07/24 Monday Nice feeding today with De-chlorinated tap water pH 6. Gave her 300 ml and she had a small run off. Getting chunky in the stem now 💪💚 Day 31 31/07/24 Wednesday De-chlorinated water pH 6 today with Plagron pk13-14 5ml to 5L Plagron power buds 5ml to 5L Used 300ml of the 5L solution. I will be using these on water days from now on as they are advised to be used every irrigation. We'll see how they perform 💪💚 Day 32 01/08/24 Thursday Another feed today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6, there now taking 300ml every evening. Day 35 04/08/24 Sunday END OF WEEK 😁 De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 today with Plagron products. 300ml each. Had a issue with leaf invaders this week, I have treated and am checking every 48 hrs so far seems ok and not progressive. All plants look great, very healthy, one of the Overdose is way behind and due to space maybe culled at flower I'll see how she gets on.

This is a fastflowering test strain and I have no real information on the genetics. I'm guessing the flowering time of 58 days is about right for a fast flowering strain. I trimmed her after 12 days of drying and got 32g of decent solid buds and 10g of not as dense buds that may go with the trim to make some hash. Stats for the grow. FFNA2410=42g FFNA2411=45g FFNA2412=43g Acapulco Gold=44g Total=174g Expected hash from trim 28g Power used for whole grow in 114 days. Lights=201.7Kw (201.7×0.25)(=£50.42) 201.7÷114=1.769kw per day light average. Average 100w for veg Average 150w for flower. Light average for grow 125w. 174÷125=1.39g/W for the light.

What a pleasure to from this variety! Wonderful sea of chunky tops. Beautiful even canopy im very happy with their production so far. They are getting the trichomes really going now. This strain always gets super frosty come the finish line. I reduced the nitrogen dose again. I also stopped giving them vigorous. Its a pure bloom mix now as these ladies are booming with flowers. Last two weeks ive been lowering down the PPM close to 0 but right now is at 842PpM And I am going to continue lowering down thru this week til closer to zero.
