Very fast seedling process, seeds stayed soaking for 24h and in the water they were already showing the first white root hair, another 48h in the paper towel and the day I potted them up they showed cotyledons. They took around 11 days to reach third node and complete germination but honestly I belive it could be faster if in better enviroment, mainly the humidity which was low and I transplanted them a day late. From day 5 I started feeding them exact same nutrients and ratio from the first vegetative week but starting at 0.4EC and increasing by 0.1EC/day until 1.1EC

7/26 Rained last night and looks like it will rain today as well. The periods we've been having with rain then sun then rain has really exploded growth. I have tops over my fence already. You can see all the dead leaves I pulled. Plants look healthy but I always worry when I lose leaves like this. Luckily I can look back on my old diary and the paper one before for some peace of mind. I've decided to label this week as flower even though we still have about 14 and a half hours of daylight but we're losing light every week. My plants get shade in the evening. My tarps provide a little shade as well. Everything is stretching incredibly that's why I labeled flower. You can see preflowers starting to form. I hope that's why I lost so many leaves (starting preflower). I mean the plants are healthy. I'll check pH with a soil meter tonight and make sure things are good. I would think with the rain it would lower my pH if anything. Definitely using dry amendments next year and dropping the liquid nutes. Soon I'll start adding flower nutes at low doses and see how the girls respond. Still haven't been able to spray BT for the pillars and my IPM. Hopefully tonight it won't rain and I can spray. 7/27 watered today. Still seeing some leaves yellowing and dropping. I left my pH meter so I'll have to check to see if that's the problem. I've been researching and I may need to adjust my nutrient dosage and add more P. I still haven't sprayed. I found a shit ton of earwigs under the wood outside I use to hold down my tarp. I thought they were predators but maybe not. I'll have to research them. I may have to use captain Jack's instead of BT and hope it combats the earwigs. 7/28 Watered as the soil was dry. Killed some earwigs and tied up a branch that is to close to the fence. I researched earwigs and they aren't beneficial but I've noticed that I no longer have ANY aphids that I could see. I'll check lower leaves with my scope as I haven't checked in a while. My pH meter won't work in ANY of my grow bags. It seems like the bags are just a bunch of roots. When I stuck the meter in a pile of last year's soil (next to the grow) it worked fine and read at 6.6. I don't get why it won't work with the grow bags. I'll have to research and see if I can use test strips or something. Still noticing some random damage here and there but it's time to spray and I just haven't done it. Plants are in that transition stage. All the big clones are at about the same stage. I really hope losing the leaves is normal. Looking at my father's tomato plants I noticed the same thing. I looked at other foliage and trees and I'm seeing similar signs of senscence. 7/29 Fed two gallons to the garden this morning. I was able to get one reading off my pH meter and it read 7.3. Still losing leaves but plants are stretching like crazy. Even the little 5 gallon ones I have been neglecting are forming there "asparagus tops" and starting to transition energy. I think I'll start adding bloom nutes next feed or so. I need to treat the PM. I've been slacking on my IPM. Also noticed some weird looking damage on a bud site. I hope it's not those earwigs. I usually have aphids but this year it seems the lady bugs and my treatments kept them at bay. I'm wondering if the ear wigs that I saw were eating other bugs and ran out and started munching on leaves. Hope not. I plan to make a ear wig trap and I need to research more. Planning on spraying LCPT tonight and cleaning up the cage but we'll see how that goes. Very little wind so I took the tarps down for now. I'll update as I get things done. UPDATE: I inspected tops and bud sites for damage. Random damage mostly on seedlings outside the cage. It's hot today and the mis-labeled indica (it's ONE of the strains listed other than DJSBB AND DREAMCATCHER) in the 50 gallon pot seemed a bit droopy. Granted all those strains are highly indica dominant and it could just be the pheno. I gave them a little water just to make sure. It should hold them over till the rain. I took a small plastic container and made an earwig trap with soy sauce and olive oil. Let's see what I catch. I plan to spray LCPT tonight. 7/30 Rained all night so I couldn't spray like I wanted too. Rain and 49 degrees at 8. My earwig trap caught zero earwigs but I killed a few around it. Noticed damage on a bud site that I'm pretty sure was from ear wigs. My bags are on the ground and I allowed the roots to grow through into the ground so I am hesitant to use something like borax to kill them. I'll have to give this a little more thought. Tarps are still down I'll monitor and update. I was able to get two pH readings but they were the five gallon plants 7.2 and 7.3. I'd really like to lower the pH. My water going in is always good and I even measured the pH of the rain so I hope I'm good. May need to check run off for accuracy. 7/31 Didn't water as it poured last night. Wind is high so tarps went back up. Got a read of 7.3 on basically all plants. I don't get it. I'll have to lower what I'm putting in. I also need to figure out the earwig situation and get off my ass and MAKE time to prune the insides and treat the PM. I did this shit last year when I had COVID so I can do it with a stomach flu. UPDATE: I finally got around to applying the lost coast plant therapy. Two hours later and I'm pretty sure I applied it properly. I took some immediate pictures. I also watered a little before treatment. Found and killed two japanese beetles (which I think are the culprits behind the unknown damage). Fucker was on the top of a starting cola way taller than me. I never would've seen him if I didn't treat. I'm going to need to use a ladder and inspect tops a little more closely. On another not WE ARE IN FLOWER!! No question about it. The "spears" are starting to thicken and beginning to start flowers. It was so much more apparent this afternoon. Probably because I was pruning the interior and defoliating as well as getting close to spray. I'm beyond psyched and im going to start reduced dosages of tiger bloom. I'm also going to try to pH my water lower and see if that doesn't make a difference. 8/1 Soil was wet so I didn't water. LCPT did great at eating up that PM. The plant in the tub in the back seems like it may have a virus or something. It just seems weak. It reveged as well. I'll keep an eye on it. If it continues with a weak appearance i'll get a second opinion and if it truly is a virus i'll trash it. I'm not going to risk the rest of my plants. I'm experimenting with the plant. I have the branches tired down at 90 degree angles. I'm thinking about adding a dry amendment and top dressing. I have work to do next week. Weather has been awesome. Sunny. It was 49 this morning though. 75 at noon.

Day 63 - Flowers just starting. They're looking nice. Through the week I've chopped quite a few leaves off her to allow light penetration.

Strains: Barney’s Farm Lemon OG Auto & Seedsman Gorilla Candy Auto The stretch has now kicked in fully and both plants are showing excellent health with strong, even growth. Internodal spacing remains tight and consistent across both genetics, which is helping light penetration deep into the canopy. They’re each drinking around 1L per day, and today they were treated to a Biosys tea to give the soil life an extra boost. Nutrients remain the standard Ecothrive Soil Food Grow/Bloom + Charge + Biosys cycle, no adjustments needed so far. Environmental conditions are dialled in nicely at VPD 0.8, with temps 75–80°F and RH ~75%. Both strains are thriving in this environment and settling into the early-mid flowering stage with no visible stress.

Sep 21: fall is here with 12 h of darkness and red tinted sunlight both of which help with flowering. One problem with growing dope here is the UV light is weak this far North in the fall so for most people it’s better to just do autos outdoors and timing it so they ripen during the stronger summer sun and you’re done by the end of August. But if you want reliable big yields these fast flowering photoperiods are definitely the best choice. Sep 23: seems a bit off colour so I added some Alaska Fish Fertilizer for N. Always warming the water to about 26C these days to help keep the plant and soil bacteria warm and happy. Sep 25: this plant and Bruce both got blown over twice today. This is because the small 5 gallon bags aren’t big and heavy enough. The plants are fine. Oh well, the advantage is that I can move them around easily to maximize direct sun. Don’t take flash pics of your plants unless you’re going to immediately use a 730 nm far red light to put the plants into dark mode. It’s a great trick as a bloom booster and moves up finishing time here by a couple or three weeks. Sep 27: harvest will be tomorrow because of some bad weather moving in. Tomorrow will be okay but then rain and cold overnight and even snow forecast for late next week. C’est La vie.

Flowering day 18 since time change to 12 / 12 h Hey guys :-) The ladies have recovered well from the cold thanks to the heating mat and have developed beautifully 👍. During the check today I saw that despite spraying neem oil 3 times, there are still a few trips :-( . Now I've ordered nematodes again specifically against trips for leaf and substrate. I will use that immediately 👍. Watering was done twice this week, each time with 1.3 l (nutrients see table above) Next week I will remove the lowermost shoots so that the energy goes into the upper buds. Fresh osmosis water was mixed with tap water and put into the 100 liter tank so that the water can stand and I'll have enough next week :-) Otherwise everything was cleaned. Day 43 Flower (Day 85) Today is the first day of week seven of flower, and this is supposed to be the last week of flower for this fast strain, but I doubt that either of the girls will be done this week. That being said, it's pretty much a waiting game at this point since we're on the home stretch. The right girl should be done soon-ish, but the left girl will probably take a few more weeks. I just got my second Corona vaccine shot a couple of days ago, and as soon as it is entirely up and running, I'm off on vacation. After 1.5 years of this pandemic crap, I'm SO ready to go traveling again. To prepare for my travels, I installed a drip irrigation system in the left girl's tent. It's a simple system with a 10-liter water bag, some hose, and a few drip emitters, but once dialed in, it should be enough to provide the left girl with water for around a week. The system was a piece of cake to install, and I wrapped the water bag with some white mylar to avoid the water getting heated and also to reflect the light better. It's a bit ghetto still, but I'll make it prettier once I see that the system works as intended. I installed the system now already to give me time to dial it in. I'm hoping that the right girl will be done before I travel, but if she isn't, then I'll hook her up to the automated drip irrigation system that I use for our tomatoes. Come hell or high water. I'm going on that vacation, dammit! Lastly, I gave the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.5 water. Day 44 Flower (Day 86) I think those extra photons from the new light are starting to work their magic in the left tent, and the left girl is slowly starting to fatten up. In the right tent, everything is just cruising along and I gave the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.6 water today. Day 45 Flower (Day 87) The drip irrigation system in the left tent is working out great so far. Only been a couple of days though but yeah, so far so good. The right girl is packing on some weight into her buds and some of the thinner branches are starting to fall over. I've ordered some plant yoyos for support but they won't arrive until next week so I'll make do until then. Lastly, I gave the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.3 water. Day 46 Flower (Day 88) Not much is happening on a day-by-day basis this late in flower. I hope those plant yoyos get here asap as the right girl is struggling to keep some of her branches up under the weight of the buds. I want to go in and tuck some fan leaves in her canopy to allow better light penetration. Still, I can only tuck a couple without starting to knock over branches as other branches precariously support them. (Note to self: use a second scrog next photo grow to give support after the stretch.) I gave the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.5 water, and that was all for today. Day 47 Flower (Day 89) Woooo! The yoyos arrived today even though they weren't due until next week. It was a breeze to put up; attach the yoyo at the roof of the tent with a zip tie, pull down the hook and attach it to the branch, done. I ended up using only three since the other branches are standing quite well once those three worst offenders are supported. A fourth branch could also use support, but the branch is way in the back, and I can't get to it without getting my arms and hands all covered in resin as just about everything in the tent is super sticky now. The buds on the right girl are very resinous and have a strong smell. I should bring out the microscope soon and start to check the trichomes to see where she's at. I also gave the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.6 water. The left girl is just hanging out in her tent, doing her thing, and slowly fattening up. The drip system is working great so far. After four days, the water bag is about half empty, so it looks promising that it will last a week. I've been monitoring the soil humidity, and it has slowly been dropping these four days, but the drop is so slow that it is next to negligible. Day 48 Flower (Day 90) Today, the left girl's soil humidity did a small drop, but it is still in a great range. I guess it is because as the water in the bag gets less, the water pressure is reduced, resulting in the water flowing more slowly out of the drip emitters. Not a huge deal, though, as it is now five days since the last time I hand-watered the left girl, so this irrigation system will work just fine when I go on vacation for a few days. I filled up another 3 liters of pH 6.1 water in the bag, and I'll keep an eye on it to see if the soil humidity increases. Speaking of watering, I treated myself today to a new, better pH pen. As a living soil grower, I don't use any nutes, so I thought I might as well make sure I have a quality pH pen to make sure the water is on point. My old Dr. Meter pen has served me just fine, but this bluelab pen is a lot faster, and it has a backlit display which makes it easier to use in low light situations. A friend of mine recently started growing, so I'll gift my old pen to him as well as my old tiny, drying tent, and the ViparSpectra P600 light as I don't need that now when I have a much more powerful light for the small tent. The right girl got 3 liters of pH 6.1 water as I haven't hooked up the automated drip irrigation system to her yet but will do that in the next few days as I suspect that she won't be finished either before vacation. Lastly, I started to brew some compost tea to give the girls one final boost of microbes and nutrients. I used a similar recipe as previously: worm castings, rock dust, biochar, lime, bentonite, neem meal, kelp meal, and molasses. I upped the castings and neem, though and I'll leave this tea brewing for 24 hours and feed it to the girls tomorrow. Day 49 Flower (Day 91) The last day of the seventh week of flower, and all is well in the tents. According to the breeder, this week is supposed to be the final week of flower, but none of my girls are near ready. I took out the microscope today and checked the trichomes on the right girl, and I would guess she has at least another week, if not two, to go as her trichomes are still clear. I might even end up running her longer as I'm looking for a decent amount of amber this harvest. This strain is supposed to be a heavy, almost narcotic Indica, and I'm aiming to make her as potent as possible. A "last-smoke-of-the-night" kind of smoke. Lately, there has been a noticeable cannabis smell in my lung room, and last night I tracked down the cause. It turned out that there was a leak between the carbon filter and the fan, so the fan blew out partly unfiltered air. Nothing that some duct tape couldn't fix, and this morning the smell was gone. The right girl is sticky af and has a strong smell. Initially, there's a strong citrus fragrance with hints of lime and grapefruit, but once those terps have started to evaporate, there's an underlying fragrance of pine. The left girl has even longer to go, and it wouldn't surprise me if she takes another month. We made some guacamole last night, but a couple of the avocados had gone bad, so I put them on my pots. My loss is my worms' gain. All I did today was to feed the compost tea I started yesterday to the girls. Each one got 3 liters of unfiltered tea at pH 6.7.

This first week was setup preparation for grow an finally planting seeds in soil. I have had a lot of success with pre-soaking seeds in 50/50 hydrogen peroxide distilled water for 24 hours. Then planting directly in soil in the size pot they are staying in due to autos not liking transplant. Seeds were soaked for 24 hours and planted 1/4 inch deep in Fox Farms Happy Frog Top dressed with Ocean Forest in 5 gallon Fabric Dirt Pots I left them in the dark for 3 days then turned lights on 18/6 cycle five days later plants are starting to pop up Gorilla glue and Grapefruit are the first to start. Day 6 all seeds but one grapefruit germinated I expect by end of day today or tomorrow it will pop up started spraying seedlings with liquid seaweed diluted in a spray bottle. Trying to get more light having shipping trouble. Last grapefruit finally popped up day 7.

Banana kush auto is growing. I messed her up with ph fluctuations and improper feed amounts. She was way hungrier then I had expected. She smells nice just looks rough. She did okay under the Medic grow mini Sun-2. The next update will be a harvest. Goodmorning everyone👋...           Our beautiful plant of Girl Scout COOKIES (AMAZING STRAIN) seems to grow very well 🍪...                             It looks for a lot of light, compared to the others in the grow-box .. and it is also the only one to be in a 11l smart pot, always compared to the other autoflowering...                              In some day I will give you a little bit of root-juice to make you happy, hopefully..                       Ah, and good news... even the high seed has come to light and the plant is currently very good ...you can see it in the video, the last on the left ...but I will not post a diary with her too ..               However it is..for the moment all is well ...                                         still soon...                                   see you next week👍 ...   Hope you enjoy it.. 🙏               Bye 😉

Week 9 with video of day 63.

Wedding Cake, also known as Pink Cookies is a stellar Indica strain created by the result of crossing Girl Scout Cookies and Cherry Pie.
