-----------------------Grow Report---------------------
Being a first time grower, I didn't know really what to expect. This strain was extremely easy to grow and very resilient to disease, had absolutely no issues what so ever in that department. This grow was all her, I just watered, sat back, admired and watched her thrive.
-----------------------Yield Report-----------------------
After reading a lot, I got the consensus that 30g is about the average yield with an Autoflower. Considering the cost of 12g of weed, it was all that I needed to recover my grow/ operating cost (electricity [probably 99% of total cost], water, fertiliser etc) and setup cost (grow box, lighting, extractor fan etc) assuming I get at least 4 grows out of the system so 20g was my goal yield and anything above that was to be a bonus. She yielded a total of 113g of dry bud but will only consider the 92g (68g A grade buds, 24g popcorn buds) I got from under lights, the other 21g was on the second harvest after the remainder of plant was left outdoors to continue growing. According to the results below she did it at 0.57 gram/ Watt but don’t be fooled by those numbers because she did significantly better than that. Considering she was under the 160W for 15 days, 110W for 45 days and under the 65W for 19 days, this equates to an average wattage of approximately 125W throughout the grow. Her performance therefore is at approximately 0.736g/W which in my opinion is phenomenal. Whilst those numbers speaks volumes, I still don’t think I did her justice, I don’t feel that I have unlocked her true potential. She produced a popcorn bud to A grade bud ratio of just over 1:3 which simply means that for every 1g of popcorn bud produced, she produced 3g of A grade buds or to put it in other terms she produced 26 percent of popcorn buds. If I have to combine the 21g of popcorn buds I harvested outdoor, these numbers get a whole lot worse. A total of 45g of popcorn bud to 68g of higher quality buds, this ratio jumps down to 1:1.5, roughly 40% of the yield was popcorn buds which is quite staggering. I still believe that under optimal conditions specifically light penetration and distribution as well as defoliation and lollipopping techniques she could have done a whole lot better. I'm not sure what the average popcorn bud to A grade bud production is or if there is even such a thing but I honestly believe that a ratio like this could give us an overall indication on the growing conditions (specifically light penetration and distribution influenced strongly by the type of lighting (LED, HPS etc) ) and methods used (lollipopping, defoliation). I hope this would be considered and maybe used in future on grow diaries as it tells more of a story that just 92g of yield. Overall Victory Seeds weren’t joking when they say this strain is a high yielder.
The following comments are related to the higher grade nugs:
-----------------------The Feel-----------------------
Feels hard, quite dense, has a crispy feeling to it, very sticky.
-----------------------The Look-----------------------
Looks fairly dense, conical shape, a bit rugged, has a nice resinous glossy coating, rather appealing.
-----------------------The Smell-----------------------
An amazing super strong fruity, tropical, citrusy aroma.
-----------------------The Taste-----------------------:
I think that initially your mind is directed to a fruity taste mainly due to that amazing fruity aroma but after a while you tend to get that nutty, woody taste in your mouth. Not sure if it’s my mind but the taste seems so pure which I can attribute to the organic growing medium.
-----------------------The Smoke-----------------------
The smoke is smooth but at the same time it’s quite a heavy smoke, not sure if it makes sense.
-----------------------Trip Report-----------------------
The first time I tried some bud was just after trimming. The buzz I would say was a dominant Sativa high, energetic, euphoric and uplifted all the sensations that I love. I initially thought it would be a legend day time smoke for a social event as the high was not that intense and you had full control of your mind and body. At the time I would have compared it to my all-time favourite, Durban Poison but with a much less potency.
Tried more bud after around 8 days of curing, this definitely affected the potency and effect. The head high was much more intense but also experienced the Indica side of her. That energetic buzz I experienced on the first smoke however seems to have faded away. Body felt a bit numb and muscles rather relaxed.
Every bud thereafter keeps you guessing what the outcome is going to be, you never really know what to expect and all is a mystery. Most smokes I would say has a Sativa dominance to it with a little body high but what I really enjoy is the creativity that is sparked. I probably would have to disagree with Victory Seeds on their analysis of which they lean towards it having more of an Indica dominance. I probably would recommend this for a late afternoon smoke. It doesn’t increase hunger whatsoever.
-----------------------Would I recommend this strain for other growers?-----------------------
I certainly would recommend this strain especially to first time growers since it easy to grow and is resilient to disease. It is an absolutely high yielder, more bang for your buck, what more can you ask for.
-----------------------What do I like most about this strain?-----------------------
Hands down, the aroma has to be my favourite. That sweet, fruity aroma is to die for, I could literally smell it all day and if it was possible I would use it as a cologne.
-----------------------How would I rate this strain as compared to my favorite-----------------------
Well as mentioned before, my ultimate favorite is a landrace, Durban Poison. I would be doing injustice to the auto AK77 if I had to compare the two as it will eventually boil down to a matter of preference. Whilst you do get that sativa coming through with the AK 77, it lacks that energetic buzz that you do get with Durban Poison and that what actually seperates the two.
