Start of week 2

Here we begin, the germination method I use is: soak the seeds for 14h than paper towel, in the dark with a heat mat under it for around. 3-5 days. After taproots come out, I’ll plant them into organic recycled live soil and under the humidity fome they go. I keep temperatures around 24-26C humidity high at 70-80%, spray water every day in the am and at night, tap water nothing fancy. Now we wait for them to take off.

Every plant in garden day 56 Noticed yellowing mid week 7 don’t think it fade having some ph issues my run off is 7.2 after flush then watered again still up at 7 so hopefully going to water at like 6 6.1 from now till it goes down growth continues tho some buds getting big ☺️

Deep Forest Auto is still moving along. She is still bulking. She has started growing faster with the ph fixed. Starting to see a brow pistils here and there. I can do nothing, but wait. Week 5, 5-11 September 2025 5-11 Sept - Observed and let the plant grow. At last a fast week of growth. Whatever the issue was worked itself out and the plant is now thriving. I believe the main problem was the roots did not grow with the speed usually associated with an auto. This could have been my fault because the clay pebbles were rather shallow at the beginning of the grow, and the added expanded clay pebbles a couple of weeks back finally expanded the root system. In any case it is on track now and doing fine. The end of this week I increased the light power 60%, DLI 37 canopy coverage at 18 hrs. - 2 Sept changed nutrient solution - 2 Sept updated feeding schedule - Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 - Adjusting PH to 6.1 daily using GH up/down - Nutrient solution EC 1.7 at 69 degrees F - Light power at 60%, DLI 37 canopy coverage at 18hrs - Using PYPABL, Air Pump, 400GPH That is it for this week. I cannot believe how much growth this week!!! For the first time I've had to higher the light fixture. It is now almost as high as I can put it. I'm kinda regretting not FIMing her now...... I hope she does not grow much more in height!

So here’s Week 2 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Auto’s grow. All in all an easy week but there has been time spent reinforcing a couple of the seedlings because they are so top heavy. I check in on my seedlings at least once a day (oftentimes 2-3 times daily) just to make sure that all equipment is functioning well and temps are stable. Upon looking into the windows of the tent I discovered that the smallest seedling (the one that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves) was tipped right over. I gently supported her with a homemade splint (a tent peg/pipe cleaner combo- pictured above) and she’s currently standing on her own again. She’s still smaller than the others but surviving, not thriving for now. I used some fresh additional soil to fill in any gaps and pack down around the bases of the other three plants’ stems. Speaking of stems/stalks- the three healthy seedlings have peeling/stretching stalks and are starting to push out their first sets of branches. Other than that, same routine as always- watering every fourth day at 1.4 litres per watering or 0.35 of a litre per plant per day. I will be increasing the water sometime over week three. That’s it for now. Mom’s Tip for Week #2- Don’t Over Water! (when growing in soil of course)… When learning to read your plant’s needs, water is a very important factor to consider. I often notice other growers with tiny seedlings sitting in completely saturated pots of soil. Or read that many other growers don’t believe in placing newly sprouted seedlings into their final containers/pots. Both issues being easily resolved by simply paying close attention to your plant’s body language, it’s grow environment and sticking to a schedule. Cannabis truly thrives and benefits from a wet to almost fully dry watering cycle. From my own personal experience with photosensitive strains grown outside in the summer to growing autoflowers indoors through the fall, winter and spring- all of my Cannabis seems to do best when watered every 4th day like clockwork! This schedule is somewhat subjective of course depending on the environment that you are growing in. Here in Canada, much of our year is cool to cold and the humidity is relatively low. Because of this my plants are not always able to take in moisture from the air through their stomas so they suck up more water from what’s readily available in their pots. In other environments (ex. tropical), you may be able to stretch out this cycle- watering every 5-7 days because your plants are pulling so much water directly from the humidity in the air. And how you water your plants matters too. When starting out with newly sprouted seedlings placed into their final containers- less is more. There is no need to completely soak all of the soil in a 5-7 gallon pot. Simply start with a small amount (0.5-1 litre) directing the water to the base of the plant, working your way outwards in a circular pattern. As you increase the amount of water, I try to work my water outwards- making my circle slightly bigger each time I water until eventually I am soaking the soil surface all the way out to the edges of the pot. This process is gradual, stretched over a period of 4-6 weeks. It will encourage the roots to reach for water and allow your plants the time needed to grow into a heavy dose of H2O. Finally, learning to read your plant’s body language will help you to understand when they need and don’t need water as well as food, more/less light, temperature changes, etc. Healthy, well watered plants are generally light green with leaves slightly turned up towards the light/sun. They will be growing/thickening every day and able to support their own weight even in a very breezy environment. Leaves are soft and supple, not dry and brittle and there are usually no marks or discolouration of any kind on the foliage throughout your grow. Water quality is important too but that’s any entirely different tutorial for another time. Bountiful harvests are very possible by simply tweaking your watering schedule to suit your plants’ ultimate needs.

Blue Dream Xtreme is growing. I think she wants more nutrition then the others. Is a little lighter in shade of green. I just switched to 12 12 light schedule. So first day of flowering. Pure distilled h20 for her last week ..It got pretty chunky over the last two weeks.

For weeks 9-10-11-12: It was now May 2020 and the ambient temperatures combined with no exhaust fans were raising temperatures to almost 30 degrees celcius. Way too much. So I rushed to find an oscillating fan and also a so-called inline fan with carbon filter for the smells that started to develop and for exhaust of hot air, trying to control too high temps.

She's a mess! Her buds are sooo heavy, they are falling over. She suffered from nute lockout and ph issues, but I see her leaves greening up again, so maybe she's getting better. I don't know what it means, but her stems are purple. She also has some foxtailing that I think the environment contributed to. It gets very hot in my make shift tent. These are her last weeks. No more nutes, just water from now on. I will be harvesting her on Sunday due to personal time constraints. I hope she's good! Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned.

Hello my friends growers 👨‍🌾, All was fine this week, Girls look stoping grow up, and buds start to up. I've got a problem with my air system, So I was around 80% humidity and 28*C, I've bought a new fan and carbon filter this end week and now 24/25*C Day 20/21 night 60/70%HR. I give 2.25l water + nutrients each 3 days. See you next week, Have a good week mate growers!

Week 4 is over. I decided to stop training the 2 bigger plants (bending, tying). Maybe I could still try defoliation carefully. A few leaves show signs of burning with nutrients. That's why I'm not going to increase nutrients in watering this week.
