Welcome to week six! 🌱 Week five was a complete success – all parameters are perfectly aligned. I’ve increased the water conductivity to a solid 3000 and bumped the CO2 level up to 1200 🌿. Light intensity is now set at 1400 µmol in the center and 1000 at the edges, which will keep the plants strong in their generative state 🌞. I’ll maintain these levels until the end of the third week and then start slowly removing the large fan leaves to ensure the buds get plenty of light 💡✨. I’m also trying something new to activate the “Emerson effect” 🌄: I’m running the deep red lights for 5 minutes before sunset and for another 5 minutes after the day ends. This should give the plants a final boost in photosynthesis, helping to maximize their growth potential! Everything’s looking fantastic so far! The Black Cherry has rooted well across different experimental setups, and at the end of the grow, I’ll provide a full report on the best care techniques for both strains 🌺👌. Good morning growers🤗 End of week five.. Four days ago I transplanted this beautiful DOS SI DOS # 33 into its final 20l geotextile pot🌱🌲.. It has direct contact with the roots and I have placed some mycorrhises (MICOSAT F) which will have an action in a span of about five weeks.. Always with the aim of trying to get the best from the cultivated strain I created a potting soil that will potentially increase Brix levels🤞.. As a base I used light-mix soil of biobizz in most, more than humus and inert material, coconut and zeolite in addition to the perlite already present in the light-mix.. To this base I then added various ingredients of organic origin, but almost nothing from animals.. My recipe includes alfalfa, kelp, calcium carbonate, gypsum, phosphorite, azomite, zeolite leonardite, basalt, krill powder, and neem soil.. I will not be here to list exactly how much I put of one element and how much of another because it is a test for me too and there is everyone who tries for himself, even because the quantities to be used will vary from strain to strain🙂.. I have already made such a recipe once, but being lighter with the ingredients.. Fantastic results🤩.. The exposed plants looked like "more natural", I don't think it's a term correct but I don't know how to say otherwise🤔.. Really high quality of flowers, especially as intensity and characteristics of the terpene profile🍋🏵️🍎🍉🍇🍓🍭🍪.. But in words it is difficult to make the idea correctly.. Anyway.. From now until the end I will simply give water, without worrying about correcting even the pH.. The only external additions that I will make will be a little fish emulsion + molasses (fishmix), unsulphured molasses, probably half-flowering banana macerate and maybe I will also make tea, but I will see week by week how to behave.. September 25 > Harvest at dawn for the big girl. The usual routine... except I shot a time-lapse video this time to play with the camera I won last year. Clipped the top buds first - then the base. Took me 2 hours to wash all that -rinse - repeat. ---------------------------------------- Well this was an interesting summer with this pair of girls. I learned that I don't really need a container larger than 10 gallons in order to grow very large plants (in my neck of the woods anyway). Now when I say large I mean how much space they take up on my patio. I'm allowed to grow 6 legally but 4 eats up pretty much the whole patio. And the reality is I don't need to grow plants that large. The outdoor yield will last well into next year for me and everybody I know. So next summer I plan to do much more serious pruning to limit the scope and shape of the girls I grow outdoors. I also learned that I don't need an inverted tomato cage style support if my container is larger than 5 gallons. The Durban I grew last summer was in a 5 gallon container and there's not enough weight in there to keep her grounded. Once up to 10 gallons you won't want to lift the container much and there's enough weight in there to keep things stable. At the moment I've listed 450g as a dry weight for both plants (updated to 458g final). I haven't actually weighed the 2nd plant yet and won't even trim her for about a week or so (I'll be back to update diary). The first girl came in at 235 grams. I got pretty ruthless throwing away small budlets and trim this morning as it took me 4 hours to take this big girl down and wash her up. That's only because I spent half a day yesterday trimming Cream & Cheese and moving Northern Lights around... and it's been over 95 degrees both days... so I'm ready for a rest. Cannabis harvesting is not easy labor. Diary note > There was a software malfunction a week or so back and I was unable to add a new flowering week, whereupon it was determined there was a limit of 26 weeks at that time... so I didn't add any more weeks after that until the harvest week. When I added the harvest week, it appears the malfunction had been corrected because I COULD HAVE added a new flowering week at that time. I think there's only a week missing. Differences can be noted with dates on the photos. If I had a problem this summer it's because I was too anxious to get going after a long winter nursing shoulder surgery and I didn't pay proper attention to the lighting ramifications when the instructions were there for me, and subsequently started too early. Next year I plan for an early crop of auto flowers to keep me occupied until the proper time for a regular crop. --------------------------------------- September 30 > Trimming and processing complete. I really manhandled the big girl with the Trimbag, largely because I knew I was gonna have a pound of herb on my hands (way more than I will personally consume) and I wanted to minimize my hand trimming. So when I say manhandled here, I mean I ran it through the process TWICE, using about 40 rotations/spins each time. It probably would have helped to be a tad drier, but we're entering a cool spell now and we've run out of time. Mother Nature has decided to turn off the heater... which has turned my Purple Berry Kush a nice shade of purple... but that's tomorrow mornings's harvest... <sigh>... anyway... where was I... oh yeah... AMNESIA... <hehe> Trimbag generated trim on 1st pass = 217 g Trimbag generated trim on 2nd pass = 90 g Trim generated by hand after that = 186 g Final bud weight for big girl = 223 g Clearly, comparing weight of trim generated by hand vs by the Trimbag here you can see the result of my "manhandling". Little girl was in a 10 gallon pot and generated 235 g buds and 360 g trim. Big girl was in a 15 gallon pot and generated 223 g buds and 493 g trim. Final total bud weight 458 grams for both plants. Hope anybody following along learned something this summer. I did. 😎 The trick is to not make the same mistake twice. That's kinda why we're all here. Kinda. ✊

2024-09-07 This was a very effective Week, it started with Rain an Wind then it turned over to very hot and sunny exactly what we need here. The Outdoor tangie still looks super fresh and green, only minor signs of getting ready the colas are very glitery and you see alot of potential already super frostyhere. the revegetating Plant looks fine too. she produces some flowers.too.

It is never to late for a better house. I got a brand new #MarsHydroGrowTend 1m square and an Inline Duct Fan and Filter, so I decide to move everyone inside, even though the girls have only few days to go. I will be monitoring them close, just to check how they will react to the new environment. Day 78 - The plants were watered without nutrients.

B8D7 end of week pictures + harvest (will follow after drying/curing otherwise I won't do it 😜) Was a little bit afraid of mold, no risk even if trichomes could use a few days more. Yield was okay (good for the strain), everything else outstanding 😚 Some pictures with flash light, some without. As outlook for the harvest a picture of the trim, ~30g 😲 Thought about not trimming, as this is all smokeable and high quality .... regarding what I get from outdoor autos 😂 You can see in the video there are no popcorn buds. Overall, hooked on indoor photos once again. 😅

My Runtz plant has some dark green leaves, and they're the most interesting of all the plants in the tent. They're really pointy and almost look like they have some old European genetics. It's been a challenging week with the constant rain and ridiculously high humidity. Keeping things dry indoors has been a real struggle. Despite the weather, I managed to flip all my feminized photoperiod plants to flower this week. I'm hoping the switch will go smoothly, but with this humidity, it's going to be tough.

These were two different types of plants. Item 9 was short and bushy, red velvet was stocky and tall.

Good week my diesel glue is really starting to branch up after topping at the end of last week I have continued 4days ago and today moderate defoliation I need the Poppin Cherrys pheno to get growing lol, I had a cultivator mystery stain, not last grow the one before that had a decidely slow start but bloomed into an exceptional phenotype, hopefully more similarities than Early leaf structure

We have passed the month and we are madly in love with all our autoflowering plants, we have two per strain, one worked with a mainlining adapted according to the characteristics of the plant and one that grows straight, we can't easily give up the main cola. For now we show you those worked with the techniques that are more interesting to see and later planted earlier to make them finish more or less together with those that will grow straight and fast. Our Ghost Train Haze is a spectacle, the main lining fits her like a glove because she is a plant with a wide internodal distance. I managed to bend the branches very well and the laterals have already lengthened in a very effective way and the lateral branches are already rising upwards, amazing this plant will have many effective branches. I am quite sure after this experience that this tactic is more suitable for plants with a wide internodal distance. So topping at the third internode, main lining, no pruning until the third internode and topping them again so we have multiplied the buds adequately. The application of the techniques is a delicate moment also for fertilization. Topping slows down the growth of the plant a bit and does not make it require all that Grow fertilizer that is normally recommended. So you have to go really slow and understand when to reduce the nitrogen. Better to prepare the soil with fertilizers to mix with the soil probably. The problem is sweeping now that it is going into flowering, the plant has shown the first fluff, declared the sex, and the fertilizer will soon be needed indeed. You have to inflate. In any case everything is under control and I will demonstrate it to you during the flowering phase. Wait for the Uncle BreadandBuds and see what he does. Remember that cold temperatures make the girls absorb food much more slowly than in summer so be careful to give the right amount and let the plant dry in maximum 2 days or you risk imbalances. So this week happened a little bit more. All of them got their final BioTabs Mix. Each Plant 500ml of Water with 1g Bactrex and 20ml Orgatrex. No more fertilizer now from the BioTabs Starterset, all they get now is BioTabs Bio PK 5-8 in flowering for thicker buds. Thought it would be a good idea to buy that, will see if it makes a difference. And as you can see i did defoliate them this week also. So much more airflow, finally i can see everything and can worry less about pest and so on. I just hope i didn't do it wrong or did too much of it, it was really scary just cutting off things which grew for such a long time, but i think for the first time it turned out pretty good. In flowering week 3, when i give them PK 5-8 for the first time, i will also defoliate them once more a little bit when it gets out of hand again. Since the biggest plant is about 45cm tall now i will start flowering soon but don't know yet when exactly, maybe a few days, maybe another week, until then they also had enough time to recover from defoliating and i hope everything will work out. Would also be good to get about 5-6cm more on the other plants, so i guess i will do it around Wednesday, but i will see. As you can see the scrog net is installed again, so this time i will pull them through the net and let it in for better division until the end. Really looking forward to my first flowering phase and how they will stretch out, kinda scared too :D See you next week :)

Poppin Bottlez ranging from 145-165cm. Grim Spodie are very close to 180cm both. Most of them are clearly flowering allready. Poppin Bottlez looking really dense, Grim Spodie are more stretched out. I gave them a little nutrientboost, cause some of them were starting to get a little bit yellow/light green.
