What can I say about this plant, it spent most of the day in the shade, if it had the same conditions as dos si dos, it would eat it for breakfast in terms of yield... 450 g of dry matter and some popcorn... I am very satisfied with but the plant didn't get nearly as much sun as it needs...it didn't fill up, but it wasn't empty either, the heads are nice and fleshy...when I picked it, it smelled like lemon or KeyLime as Barney says...but no on citrus, but really lemon combined with some heavy stench, I can't wait for this miracle to work for some time in the jar... Next year we will see it in its full glory, so let's try to get a one kilo and a half dry from it alone, that's a bit of a challenge for me...but with this kind of genetics and this kind of variety, I don't think it will be a problem in 100-150 liters of soil for this kind of monster... this year my plants were in 40 to 50 liters of soil and almost each of them produced from 450 to almost a kilogram of dry grass

Si lets talk about my beautiful Medusa F1 from Royal Queen Seeds. This little lady is growing like a champ, and I've been giving her lots of love and care. One of the techniques I've been using with my Medusa F1 is leaf bending as a form of training. It's been amazing to see how much she's responded to this technique. I gently bend and manipulate the stems and leaves to encourage horizontal growth and create an even canopy. This helps to promote more even light distribution and allows for better nutrient uptake. My Medusa F1 seems to be loving it, as she's growing strong and healthy with lots of new growth popping up all over the place. In addition to leaf bending, I've been using Aptus Holland Nutri Spray as a foliar spray, and I can't say enough good things about it. This stuff is a game-changer! But as we approach the final stretch, it’s a delicate dance of vigilance and care to ensure a clean and bountiful harvest. Here’s a deep dive into this exciting and educational week: The “Flush” in Full Swing The flush continues as we prepare the ladies for their final days. While we’re a week or so away from harvest, the plants are responding beautifully, showcasing stunning fades that highlight their unique genetics. This fading process is a critical part of the journey, helping the plants naturally finish their cycle while preserving those complex terpene profiles we all love. The Mold Incident: A Teachable Moment This week brought a challenge—a few buds succumbed to bud rot (Botrytis), particularly on the Papaya Zoap and a single bud from the Gorilla Melon. While disheartening, it’s a reminder that mold can occur even in the most well-maintained gardens, especially with dense colas and a full canopy. After a thorough inspection, all affected buds were removed and discarded to prevent the spread. A quick note to all growers: defoliation plays a massive role in airflow and prevention of such issues. This is why mid-flower defoliation is a game-changer, and I’m grateful it kept the rest of the garden healthy! Papaya Zoap’s Unique Quirks The Papaya Zoap continues to be a star of the show with its frosty buds and… albino tips! These tiny white tips are likely from being too close to the lights. While it’s a cosmetic detail that doesn’t affect quality, it’s a fascinating display of how genetics and environment interact. A Frost-Filled Wonderland The room is absolutely glistening with frost. Trichomes are piling up like snow, giving the entire garden a magical wintery appearance. I genuinely believe the ThinkGrow LEDs and TrolMaster spectrum control deserve a shoutout here. Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying safe. Another great week for the ladies, as they are now about 3 weeks into flower, and the stretch has just finished. I am still feeding them silica, cal mag, and flower nutrients maxi bloom by GHE. I did start to add a PK booster this week pushing the EC up to 1.4. I also will be switched the light from V1 to the F1 Spectrum at the beginning of this week, and will be integrating the UV/IR bar into the light cycle later this week. I will run the UV/IR bar for approximately 30 minutes prior to lights off to get started. The tallest plants are the Sundae Driver and the Durban Nights at 42" and the Red Hot Cookies is the shortest plant at 38" however they all look happy and healthy and capable of easily giving up a half pound each. The 5X5 is really starting to fill up nicely, I am running two dehumidifiers outside of the tent and I am able to maintain around 50% RH in the tent during lights on, and around 55% RH with lights off. We did get an unexpected heat wave this weekend and it has been a struggle keeping the heat and humidity down but the flowers are just starting so no need to worry about mold or anything like that yet. As soon as this heat wave is over the temps should be good to go the rest of the way this is by far the best time of year to be flowering plants in my region. I did defoliate twice this week and I may do one or two more rounds before just letting them do their thing. Not much to do from here on out except make sure the reservoir is full and the PH is in the proper range.
