Day 50- All looking quiet good so far, no complaints. Fairly easy grow once you set up your plants training in veg. Only minor defoliation here and there when needed to expose bud sites to the light. Happy with the girls at the moment.

Week 21 for Black Lebanon by SSSC Shes been doing alright no real issues no pests/ no bud rot. Now just to watch her bulk up her flower size. Not watering the plants whatsoever with this weather. The Jack47XL Auto was germinated in a Peat Pellet which took seven days for her to break ground. Within two days there were roots popping out of the bottom of the Peat Pellet. After she sprouted it was ON! By week two she had three set of leaves and she went into a 5g fabric pot to live out the remainder of her life. She started out short with tight node spacing and I was thinking she would be a fairly squat plant. But once she started to flower at around Day 30 +/- she absolutely took off on the stretch from hell! As she stretched her node spacing widened allowing plenty of light penetration through her canopy and her foliage never got super bushy requiring removing leaves. All in all she was a growers dream! I let her run for 10 full weeks and after her last Top Dressing at Week Seven she received only straight water that was ph'd to 6.7-6.8. After checking her trichomes daily during Week Ten and determining that she was where I wanted her, I placed her in the dark for 60 hours @ 64℉ and a RH of 45%. When I removed her from the dark I cur her off at her base and hung her whole in my Drying Room where she spent nine days drying @ 64-66℉ with the RH running at 50% for the first 24 hours, then raised to 60% for the remainder of the drying time. Being predominately sativa in her lineage, she grew fairly tall and maxed at 32". In addition to her height her really wide node spacing, which made defoliation or leaf tucking completely unnecessary, was so nice to deal with (or actually to NOT have to deal with!) and because of her structure and the way she grew, I decided not to do any LST other than gently bending a couple of her branches during Week Four when she was still short and bushy. After she was dried I trimmed her up and placed the flowers in two large Mason jars to cure. The flower is currently at 68% RH and I'm 'burping' the jars three times a day until it drops to around 62%. I did do a 'Test Press' with 7g of the flower and saw almost a 28% return of super light colored, almost clear, rosin that is some of the best I've pressed lately! 🔥 When you crack the jars your hit in the face with the sweetest aroma you've ever had the pleasure to smell...smell nothing like cannabis, more like a jar full of sugary sweet candy! 😍 Needless to say, I'm hooked on Sweet Seeds and head over heels for their Jack47XL autoflower and can't wait to run her again soon! 9/21: I'm such a dumbass...I should have kept a little more distance between the canopy and the lights for a day or two, til they got used to the higher intensity and increased wattage. Singed the tips on all my new growth and kinda faded a few fan leaves...whoops... Raised lights and fed plants today....before feeding, I added a tablespoon of Fox Farm Cavern Culture to the pots. It should become available as the plants start craving the extra P and K. 9/22: They are much happier being a few more inches from the "sun"....very perky. I'll spray them all with BoomBoom Spray and more harpin proteins tomorrow morning and see if I can't turbocharge this grow a little more... 9/23: Fed them a little bit today, but had no time to soak or spray them. 9/25: Gave them their first good soaking and sprayed with harpin proteins and boomboom spray.

Next few weeks we should see some great bud development.

Partway through last week I noticed that there was no runoff after feedings. I increased the time the fertigation pump runs to 2 mins twice a day. It seems like either the root system is drinking up more or the added aeration has changed how much runoff comes out. Plant 1 has fallen behind in growth. The inter-nodal spacing was so tight that the new growth was being strangled by the older fan leaves and other growth. I adjusted the LST to help and pruned a very small amount of leaves. It seems to be doing better, but is several inches shorter than Zkittlez 2 which has had some really explosive growth. I started the scrog today, bending many of Zkittlez 2’s branches down to fill out the tent. I bent a few branches on Zkittlez 1, but it’s still a little short. This week I upped the nutrients, almost doubling the Cocos A & B, Multizen and Cal Mag. I still tried to keep EC down though, only allowing it to rise by about 300mS/cm. This could actually be the first week of flower, but think I’ve started to spot some pistils, but I’m not sure. I can’t find the breeder’s info, but think it’s supposed to have a 4 week veg time and 10 week flowering period. Update: lots of pistils being thrown out especially from Zkittlez 2. It’s definitely the first week of flower. There has been a lot of growth since the start of the week. I continued to bend branches down and tuck them under the net, but now that buds are really starting to take shape I'm going to lay of any further stressing. I noticed that there was little runoff over the past couple days. Yesterday (Monday) I had to refill the reservoir and mix up new nutrients because there was only an inch of water left. These girls have gotten a lot thirstier over the past 2 weeks. I've upped the feeding times to 3 minutes twice a day.
