July 20: smoke arrived this morning to go with our heat wave. Awesome. Extra watering, misting air, and wetting the sides of the grow bags with hose water to keep things cooler and hydrated. So far so good in the heat. Did foliar spray of Extreme Blend and potassium silicate. Also note that for all my grows I use apple cider vinegar for pH adjustment and a Dr Bronners liquid soap as a wetting agent (surfactant). Euphoria is doing great, but to ensure that it finishes early enough for this latitude (53N) where the UV light gets very weak after mid-August, I’m starting the force flowering tonight. Already starting to flower but I want a strong flower set and as much flower growth under strong sunlight as possible. Force flowering schedule is 2-3 weeks of in dark garage at 9 pm followed by 730 nm far red light and then back out at 7 am. The light initiates dark mode 2 h faster so it’s like having a 26 h day. Good trick use as a bloom booster, also moves up the finish 2-4 weeks. So, 10+2 is 12 h dark and 14 h daylight. Might sound bogus but it works. July 21: first night of force flowering caused a big stretch. Notably stretched after darkness in hot garage overnight. Hot outside overnight too but was much hotter inside garage and recorded here as 24 C. Seems okay and high overnight temperature might be ideal at this early flowering stage. Warm overnight temperatures continue for a few more days. July 22: record hot overnight low forecast for tonight of 24 C and feels like 27 C with humidity. Wow, that is really incredible for here and 13 C above historic average.

Flowers looking great… smell is incredible

Starting to see some amber trichomes all over the plant maybe %5. Looks like about two weeks from harvest.

Garage grow SoCal Another hot week in the garage averaging high of 88°. We just put in AC dehumidifier and we brought down the temp to 70 Degrees and 48% relative humidity with lights on for ripening. The girls are starting to finish the ripening stage and ready to cut the tops. Smell is unbelievable sweet and dank. As we’re at the final few days we’re running straight Jacks RO. This weeks accomplishments: AC for ripening Eradicated the Spider mites by doing manual scouting and removal every day. Long term issues None. We’re just about done. Week 7 has started and I'd say, overall she's looking good and healthy. day 45: It's time to give her some water and new "food". I took the opportunity to remove a few of the lower and inner leaves and arrange them a little more openly with some garden wire and string. Regarding those lighter leafs in the top center (pictures under the LED make it really look worse) and the reddish/violet stems i won't do anything for now but observing. day 46: just visual checks and refreshing humidation. day 47: The soil was already dry again, i guess because of those high temperatures during the last days (up to 38°C inside the box). As she seemed to be doing quite well, I decided to carry out a slightly larger defoliation. Some might even call it “soft lollipopping”. But as a beginner, I want to try the experiment and I'm more afraid of mold than a slightly lower yield. So I removed about 1/3 of the leaves and small shoots in the lower area and also took out some fan leaves and leaves that were growing inwards or covering other shoots. I then used some string to give her a new shape to bring the individual shoots back to a more uniform height. day 48: just visual checks and refreshing humidation. I guess she isn't too sad about her new haircut. Additionally playing around with the smartphone microscope I recently bought. day 49: The first pistils are beginning to change color. No water needed today, but i guess for a fresh watering tomorrow. Removed some leafes that wouldn't get much light The weather should cool down again today and in the next few days, so I'm hoping for lower temperatures inside the grow box. Today I will leave the box open for a while and try to cool down the room in which it is standing. day 50: My guess was right, it's watering day. Felt like she needed a little more nutrients so i slightly adapted my plan.

Start of week 6 flower. She’s pretty much on cruise control. Did a light defoliation, probably the last one until harvest. Noticed my ph pen has slightly been off and I’ve been slightly alkaline in my solution. Recalibrated and hit er with a heavy feeding and her normal but also added some cronk nutrients this week just to see if she responds. Overall, she’s starting to get funky, sugar leaves are sticky and really smelling of fruit loops. See ya next week

Die Woche war schonmal wieder etwas mehr Sonne. Die GorillaAuto ist die letzte der drei Ladys aus dem Report. Ich denke das sie noch 1 - 1½ Wochen stehen wird bis sie auch zum trocknen aufgehangen wird. Die Trichome sind ca 20%milchig, 75%klar und 5%amber. Die Fanleaves werden auch langsam heller und gehen ins herbstliche. Gegossen wird nur noch mit Wasser wenn der Topf leichter wird. An heißen Tagen waren es teilweise zwei mal täglich. Hoffentlich überlebt sie die letzten Tage ohne schlimmere wettereinflüsse🍀 Vielen Dank fürs reinschauen 💚
