Week 8 Veg – Go Big or Go Home! 🌱💪 Hey, Grow Fam! 🌿 What an intense week it’s been in the grow room! This was one of those “go big or go home” moments, and I decided to take it to the extreme. I’m holding off on flipping to flower for just one more week because the plants are filling up the space beautifully—I can’t help but push things to their limits and see just how much these ladies can give! 😎✨ This week was all about maximizing growth and creating the best canopy I can. I did a light defoliation, just here and there to open things up a bit, and then came the bending—LOTS of bending. 🌱 I’m working hard to create an even canopy, though with all these different genetics, we’ll see how close I get! 🤞 Regardless, I’m giving it my all, and I’m super pumped to see how everything will respond in the next stage. The final touch this week? I ended it with a bold 36 hours of darkness to prepare for the big flip next week—flower mode, here we come! 🌸 What Went Down This Week: 1. Canopy Work – Bending and training all over the place to try and keep things even. It’s a real challenge with different genetics, but the payoff is going to be worth it! 2. Defoliation – Just a little bit of leaf removal here and there to help with airflow and light penetration, prepping them for that final veg stretch. 3. 36 Hours of Darkness – Closed out the week with a full day and a half of darkness. The 36 hours of darkness is a technique I like to use to help signal to the plants that it’s time to transition from veg to flower. 🌒 By giving them an extended dark period, I’m mimicking the natural shift from summer to fall, when daylight hours start to shorten. This kick-starts the plants’ flowering hormones (phytochrome), helping them shift into flower mode more smoothly and quickly. In my experience, this method helps speed up the flip, reduces early flowering stress, and often leads to a more uniform bloom across the canopy. It’s like giving the plants a little nudge to let them know, “Hey, it’s time to bloom!” 🌸 This technique is especially useful for growers like me who want to maximize the efficiency and performance of their plants. 😊 4. She does show some signs of over watering. Yellowing leaves at this stage usually indicate wet feet. Will continue to mist spray a few times a day for the next week with no additional water added to soil.

10 weeks total for the first phenos and a bit more than 11 for the last one! I could have easily gotten double the projected yield on these had I not neglected them but whatever I pulled is rock hard, dusted in sugar and smells absolutely stupendous! You did it again FastBuds!

Smoke report! 10/10/20 tastes are tropical with a citrus hint and pine! Also tastes like it has some gas on it too can feel the power in every blast! Feels like euphoric a lot of day dream happy thoughts great for music and day smoke puts you in the best of moods! Not much to say on a negative as it tastes so good your mouth waters lol but could say makes you very very sleepy 😴 thank you for popping by check out them tones and fades 😍 Was amazing to grow! Ran into no problems along the way she literally just grew and grew! She showed her beauty from early and was shining through colours of purple/red even on the leaves! And her smell “oh my” is exclusive like sherbet and citrus and fruit and candy! I’ll add more photos after cure and also a smoke report! Want to allow this to cure about 2 weeks before I even try her!

DFIe Buds entwickeln sich sehr gut :) diese Woche war relativ enbtspannt da ich hauptsächlich nur Gießen musste und das ein oder andere Sonnensegel entfernt habe damit ausreichend licht auf alle Buds fällt allerdings bin ich damit leider noch nicht fertig :)

I probably won't grow this strain again, just due to the growing difficulties, short lifespan, and low yield, although the bud is definitely quality. I learned a lot as this was my first grow, and the next I'm hoping for better yield quantities.

Warning beast of a plant lol My Northern Lights #10 plant is an absolute beast! It's the biggest in the tent, growing incredibly strong. Even the second-deck buds are developing with amazing vigor. This plant is a true powerhouse, and I can't wait to see the massive yield it produces. It's got that classic Northern Lights aroma – earthy and sweet with a hint of pine. This one's gonna be a winner! This past week has been a whirlwind of work, leaving little time for anything else. My phone's camera roll is sadly neglected, with only a few snapshots to show for it. But finally, I'm finding a moment to catch up on my grow diaries. It's been exciting to see the progress, even if it's just through photos. I'm looking forward to documenting the next stage!

Day 55 - 18/11/19 i still think another 1-2 weeks for this one, getting a jewelers loupe for the beginning of week 9 so i can tell exactly where were at in terms of harvest :) anyone got any thoughts on this little plant? have a look at the photos and videos and let me know in the comments below :) oh and i finally nailed what this strains smell is - tropical hubba bubba gum with cheese :'D Day 59 - 22/11/19 Got my jewelers loupe 2 days ago and ive been having a look at them. its pretty hard to see for a newbie grower. ive looked at harvest guides online and seen pictures of clear, cloudy and amber trichomes. mine look mostly cloudy (60%) and slightly glassy (40%) with barely any ambers. i may be wrong but the reason i think its cloudy is that it looks white against the leaves instead of see through or like glass. so going on this for my first trichome inspection im gonna harvest in the middle of next week. Smell is getting strong enough to stink out a room, still that tropical cheese smell, although its just so pungent it lingers in the rooms after bringing it out of the tent to inspect it. smell isnt a problem if you put it back in the tent and spray some air freshener stuff in the next room. the carbon filter is doing its job exactly as described along with the fan. The fan leaves started to get yellow patches and sugar leaves starting to curl. and a friend thinks its nearing the end of its life. I flushed yesterday and will flush again today to drain out any excess salts and nutes. Thanks for following along. im excited for week 9! Happy Growing!

Day 22 - december 26 The hydro goes really fast now we can see the difference in growth vs the soil ppm 500 Ph 6.1 day 23 water change - 730ppm day 25 i cut off the 2 top fanleaves of the hydro and soil plant wich are blocking light on the stems underneath, now both plants have 6 main stems so both plants will have the same structure. nothing needs to be cut from here its just veg a bit longer and wait for flowers. also did LST on all 6 branches each has a string on them with a pencil attached to them to bend the young stems gently as you can see in the final video of this week. day 28: the hydro plant recovered from the too light nute mix new growth is healthy again theres just brown spots on the oldest water leaves. temps are also a bit low when lights turn of (15ceclius) in the res. i put the timer of the light now at 20/24 to keep it 2h warmer.

Hello. I'm starting my Dos Si Dos #33 diary here. These clones have been growing in the veg tent all summer. I had stuff growing in the greenhouse all summer and it gets really hot in that cement room in the middle of summer, so I shut down that grow room till now. I got it up and running last week but I was a little embarrassed to make a diary starting last week because I had treated the clones badly and they looked rather leafless. They look much better this week, so I'll start. I would like to start playing around with making feminized seeds. So, I need some extra clones to spray to make the feminized males. I've read about it, now it's time to try. Some of these clones I take will be turned to males next year. I gave some clones to my friend Jerry for his summer crop. I was over to his house the first week in October, to take pictures of his plants. Some of the lower plants that were not getting sun anymore were just starting to show some powdery mildew on some of the big fan leaves, so he decided to cut them down. He did a real good job on growing them this year. I think he said he was going to cut the big bud off the ends of the branches and let the smaller buds fatten up, under cover, in the sun, on the deck. This is the strongest plant I grow. It gets me pretty baked with 5 or 6 tokes. It grows on the taller side, so I'll make lots of tops to slow the growth down. And it tastes like fruity ice cream!!! Yummy!!! The other plants in the room are Amnesia Lemon by Barney, Pink Kush the original clone I found 27 years ago, Nova OG by Anesia Seeds, Sweet Sensations by Sweet Seeds, The White (Whitey) by Dr Greenthumb. I will put in next week more Fat Freddie's Cat cartoons and I have some more puzzles to finish off that puzzle book. Then when that's finished, I'll put in some Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers cartoons. Man, the spiders are getting big around here. We've had 1 mm of rain in 3 months and it's very warm for this time of year, so they are getting big!!! Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.
