Hello fellow growers, I am pleased to start this new journey with you. I am also particularly excited since I am going to grow a Mephisto Genetics strain for the very first time, the famous Double Grape. I know you shouldn't believe the hype, as Public Enemy used to say, but it's hard to ignore the dithyrambic reviews when it comes to Mephisto. I sowed the seed directly in the substrate and it was popping out 3 days later. Right now the seedling is under my Mars Hydro TS1000, brightness set at 25%, lights are 80cm away. During my last grows I set it up to the max at all stages of growth, this time I decided to proceed differently and increase gradually. Please let me know in the comments if you think I should just push it to the max right away. I would like to thank HESI nutrients team for sending me a great Starter Pack! Looks perfect. Got nutrition half of the recommended amount, react great to it. Tie some branches so thay get more light. Will love to know when and if I need to cut some of the leaves how hide the light/not looks good.

I'm pretty sure I either overwatered a bit or gave them to much supplements. I think in the future i'll skip calmag and rapidstart in bushdoctor. also water every other day. I think i got over anxious. Hoping they snap out of it! _______________________________________________________________________________ Ha!!! I'm just a negative nilly! I was rushing things. These ladies are GREAT!!!! I think after that first set of leaves the plants takes a few days to grow that tap root THEN pushes that leaf growth!!!! Nearing the end of the week I couldn't be happier with things!!! I added a ghetto DIY humidifier to to get tent up till I can water plants a bit more, but this new tent is working out AWESOME! I'm hoping my time lapse is working now too so we will have a nice little treat when things are done!

The girls are not happy with the temperatures we have here at the moment. It is very hot! Hopefully some extra silicone will help them dealing with the heat. Otherwise both girls look great. The mainlined plant is getting some long colas. She might end up having better yield in the end...

Man, it's been a crazy week. These past few days have been brutal – seriously cold with this crazy humidity. I don't know about you, but I'm sick of the chills and the way my skin feels all sticky. It's been a struggle, but I'm finally getting on top of things. I think I've figured out a good routine to dry things out around here, so hopefully, I'll be feeling a lot more comfortable soon. My Skunk Apple Runtz plant is finally starting to bounce back. The leaves are getting their color back, and it smells fantastic – all thanks to the Ricky Bobby. It's a shame the plant's shape is a little funky, but honestly, I can live with it if it keeps producing that amazing smell.

02/08/20 (Sunday) 9AM - Continuing off of the great progress of last week I decided to take the initiative and attempt 'repairs' to the photosynthesis of my plants with compromised leaves using surgical tape. Unfortunately after one too many readjustments on one of the first true leaves of the SVG I caused some minor lacerations on the leaf; it should be fine though. 11AM - All four plants were fed. 5PM - I decided that it would be more beneficial to just defoliate the first true leaves and start lst on the SVG so it'll have a little more energy to grow the tops. Left the top leaf on the abandoned original stem to help with photosynthesis and not over stress the plant all at once. 03/08/20 The SVG seems to have responded positively to the training and is growing rapidly. 04/08/20 Had an exhausting day yesterday and fell asleep before I could turn off the grow light leading to the plants getting 24+ hours of continuous light. None seemed to be stressed and were immediately put to sleep for 6 hours before continuing their light cycle with a shorter day so they'd fall back on schedule. 05/08/20 The plants enjoyed a new record of 10 hours in the sunlight and are starting to look ready to stay outside for the entire day. Noticed one fan leaf on the Jam had evidence of leaf miners and decided to remove it to free up wasted energy for the plant. 06/08/20 More leaves are showing signs of miner activity so I feel it may be time to start considering an early topping. 07/08/20 I decided to do an early top on all single cola plants at their third from the bottom 3+ leaf node to help control the miner problem. Considering keeping the plants as indoor instead because pests seem to be targeting them in my gallery garden, but none of my other species of plants. Took some advice and squeezed all the leaves on the Jam to kill the leaf miners. 08/08/20 All leaf miner progress seems to have been halted.
