You should use cotton pads because it is one of the fastest way to germinate seeds, it is also one of the more reliable way because with these few steps, you could have a 99% of success if seeds are fresh (we store our seeds in a dark and sealed container in the fridge and they last years!). This is a NOOB-FRIENDLY technique BUT you have to respect some little and easy steps: 1️⃣take one cotton pad, spray it 5 times with water; 2️⃣dispose seeds in the sprayed cotton pad, remember to leave minimum 1cm of space between seeds, 3️⃣take a new cotton pad, spray it 3 times with water, face the wet side down and put it on the seeds of the first cotton pad; 4️⃣spray the dry side 3 times. 5️⃣put your "sandwich/es" in a sealed dark container of a sufficient size to store them, I use a plastic container (glass or plastic are equal) with about this size: 15x30cm .It contains about 8 "sandwitches". 6️⃣store the container in a dark place with a temperature from 17°C (23/24 °C are optimal)and more. REMEMBER: More light they see and colder is the place,slower will be the germination and lower will be the germination ratio. *(If your seeds are old, not good stored and with a low germination ratio, I suggest you to use Seed Booster. Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. 160 days of life harvested on day 63 of flower. I don’t have photos of her vegging but she started off great. About two weeks in, she started having some major issues. Her leaves started atrophying, curling up at the borders, growing 3 finger leaves, all new growth was deformed and twisted and growth in general almost stopped completely, to what I suspect was from broad mites. These fuckers are nasty! I dm’d my local grow shop and tried out some Neem Oil. I diluted it in water like they recommended and sprayed that baby every day for one week, then every other day the following week, then down to once a week. I sprayed her leaves stem and surface of the soil. I also cleaned the entire grow space with some bleach solution. Doing this allowed her to really bounce back, growth started to take off again! So I vegged for a few more weeks and trained her as much as I could to keep her uniform but short, she responded well to this. During flower, she was very happy. I had two main issues during this time, one was being too hot in Nitrogen and a week of very hot temperatures which burned her a slight bit, although she didn’t seem to mind much. I also could’ve continued a once a week spray of Neem oil because I think they might’ve started to come back on the lower and younger leaves that weren’t getting much light. Overall it was a dope grow and hope to do better on the next one!

Day 73 - 1/3 - Day 26 into flowering. Soil pH too high over ~6.8. Watered with 5.0 pH water. Day 74 - 1/4 - Day 27 into flowering. Fert Water 1 + 2ml. Day 75 - 1/5 - Day 28 - 4 Weeks into flowering. 5-6pH plain water. Day 76 - 1/6 - Day 29 into flowering. 5pH Plain Water to adjust soil pH too high over 6.8; almost 7. 0.5+1 Ferts added. Finally pH restored to 6.5. Day 77 - 1/7 - Day 30 into flowering. Feed 5pH Plain Water. END WEEK 11.

Bueno , este es el segundo cultivo que realizó del la cepa "Waka" , el anterior lo tengo igualmente documentado en otro diario . en esta ocasión cultivamos los clones que habíamos recolectado del cultivo pasado , guardando los fenotipos que nos gustaron más y los clones restantes los pasamos a floración que fueron los que se le hizo seguimiento en este diario. El crecimiento fue bastante explosivo y reaccionaron muy bien a cada trasplante realizado . pude observar que los clones de cada fenotipo seleccionado se desarrolló con mucha similitud al de sus madres . El olor en vegetación es bastante discreto y en floración se pone un más intenso El desarrollo en floración fue explosivo generando bastante resina y se vieron muy hambientras . Al fumar se puede sentir un rico toque cítrico en las N° 4 se siente un fuerte sabor a limón en algunas flores mucho mas marcado que en otras, N° 3 y 13 un agradable toque a naranjas muy rico de sentir en el paladar , La N° 8 con pizcas dulces bastante interesantes. El humo al fumar es muy suave lo que permite sentir mejor el sabor de cada fenotipo.- saludos y buenos humos😉 Al momento de cosechar se cortaron los clone y se dejo secando en oscuridad a temperatura ambiente por cerca de 16 días posterior a eso se pasó a curar en frascos

She's acting a bit weird. Some fresh leaves are kind of crumbling, as if it's mutating. Might be due to the stress from the topping, since she started flowering very soon after that. Also, I (semi) broke some branches when attempting to bend them, that might also be a reason.., Still spraying weekly with cannacure.

Week 26 Sweet Love is ready for harvest. Part of Spicy CBD plant 1 is also ready. Spicy CBD plant 2 is a few weeks away. Plants are developing differently on different parts. I think I may explain it a little better with a video. Temperature is back to normal hot with humid air. Humidity and VPD: Hottest part of the day during the week; 34 degree C, Humidity 64%, VPD 1.9 Coolest part of the night during the week; 24 degree C, Humidity 73%, VPD 0.8 62 days of flowering for Spicy CBD plant 1. One branch looks ready. And is dripping wet. However, trichome is still clear and just start to get cloudy. And I have started to trim off the bigger fan leaves. I think next week will be a good time to harvest for this branch. Another branch still looks like it has a few more weeks to go. 50 days of flowering for Sweet Love. Sweet Love is small. The buds looks fluffy and light. Does not look like she would yield much. The smell is very much green mango with a hint of pepper spice. Pulled off fan leaves. On some part, trichome is ready. On most of the plant, buds are ready. I'll throw away the part that is not ready. I don't think they'll do much any more. And Sweet Love is in the shadow of Spicy CBD. 50 days of flowering for Spicy CBD plant 2. One branch looks good. A few more weeks for buds to ripen. The other branch is still young with hardly any flower. Light Feeding with yoghurt and molasses to encourage potency. A dose of light compost tea and another dose of potassium salt to help ripen flower. Bugs and mold are in check. VPD is down a bit but I don’t see a need to spray anti-mold microbes with such fluffy buds. Feeding summary Monday evening – Compost tea ( 1.5 ml / liter compost tea + 1.5 ml/liter humic acid). Tuesday evening – Yoghurt ratio ( 1 liter yoghurt to 5 liter of water) Wednesday evening – Molasses ( 2.5 ml / liter). Thursday – none Friday evening. 1.5 ml/liter compost, 0.5 gram / liter potassium salt, 0.5 ml cal mag.

Trichromes are starting to be produced and buds are starting to form and get sticky, each plant is developing a nice smell but the strawberry is out performing the rest by a mile definitely a vigorous strain that just wants to go go go! Inter node spacing is crazy and looks like the girls are setting up to make some fat buds hopefully

Day 36. Morning. Girls are stretching, some are above 50 cm, others still can't beat even 20. Will regroup pots a bit to expose smallest girls. Pure phed water. No hermie signs and thats good ;)) All girls very healthy, thinking to give silica next watering. Day 40. What an Idiot I am ;)))))) Girls just blasted away. All my hopes for one huge cola - gone. Girls just grow, they are bushy, but leaves cover each other and sweat. I decided to do defoliation on day 15-18 of flower, but ... All girls are different !!! Some just building preflowers, some are on day 10 of flower, some still in veg !!! If you check any my diary, 2-3 days is max and all leaves are regrowing, so i can't defoliate in rounds by maturity, neighbours will cover defoliated one. And i can't do all in one go, some will be totally in wrong day for such stress. Time for new strategy ... Just i don't know which, what and when ;)))) Day 41. Job done. Slaughtered them last night. Looks ok at the end of day, let's see how many hermie i woke up ;))))
