Since the last leaf and substrate application against tripse, I finally haven't seen any of the little biters 👍. Watering was done twice this week with 1.3 l each time (see table above for nutrients). The lowest shoots were removed so that the energy is not wasted in the lower part :-) . Otherwise, as always, everything was cleaned and checked. Fresh osmosis water was filled with stale tap water in a 100 L tank for the coming week 👍. Unfortunately, one of my plants was affected by mildew, luckily only a few lower leaves, but I will probably have to do an (Maybe) emergency harvest this week. The lady isn't that long away from the optimal time anyway, so it shouldn't be such a big problem.

Hey now....This week went pretty good, I transplanted both seedlings from solo cups to 3.4 gallon airpots on day 16, and I also began high frequency fertigation that same day. I am running lights from 12AM to 6PM, and I feed at lights on and every 5 hours after that. Nutes are Silica, Cal Mag, and Maxi Gro with an EC of about 1.2 and a PH of 5.9ish. I am planning to top them both this week probably around day 25ish to the 3rd node, once I feel the roots are strong enough to bounce back instantaneously to the topping. I will start training the mainline within 24-48 hours of the topping as long as they respond well to the topping. I am still only running a 100 Watt Led light for them, but I am thinking about running a 400watt Super Metal Halide Bulb just to build the manifold, then switch over to LED's for flower. I did squeeze some of the bubble hash from the first planet of the grapses run, and all I can say is wow.....it truly tastes amazing and will absolutely put someone on all fours. Seven days with this young Gorilla Cookies and she's hit the light running! Spending 36hrs in water, 36hrs in a paper towel, then 48hrs under the soil before popping her head up into the light. The light schedule I'm following is 20/4 under two 100w LEDs running around 80% at 650mm above the babies. They're receiving 150-200umol's at roughly 11-14 DLI. Organic medium and nutes so just watering in around 200mL of dechlorinated water at 6.6 pH per day. I figured I want to get this medium nice and moist for the microbes to thrive so I've been bottom watering 200mL extra every other day, with a gap day today as the pots are nice and weighty now. Welcome baby GC 🍪

420 Fastbuds I will say without a doubt is my favorite. They've always made the best,most recent strains,and not to mention top notch genetics that are way above par. I've been collecting for some time now about 5yrs total and have finally completed my set of every strain they have come out with.

After 24 hours in the large fabric pots alot of improvement from a few errors in the germination stage they were streching for light so i had to rush the seedlings to the tent and get it all set up u will see the difference from when i put in pots to now

1/8 prepare Easy combo bloom: hello then this day I prepared the easy combo bloom of the royal in 6 liters of water with controlled ph, this nutrients make the flowers become big, among other things this will be like a booster! on i bud 30/07/2019 I can say that this strain drinks! in fact, he drinks a lot and the nutrients don't seem to bother even at higher doses ... has anyone noticed the same? 17/06 if you have seen the diary from the beginning you have understood that the counting of the weeks starts when I put the seed to sprout ....

They have continued to grow well and since removing the sick dr jack outside the tent this has allowed space for me to try and tie down the larger overstretched plant. So far the LST methods have seemed to be working out well too giving a lot more nodes access to light. Still not quite sure what was wrong with the dr jack but there is some small new growth and there are no markings on the leafs.

September 25 > Harvest at dawn for the big girl. The usual routine... except I shot a time-lapse video this time to play with the camera I won last year. Clipped the top buds first - then the base. Took me 2 hours to wash all that -rinse - repeat. ---------------------------------------- Well this was an interesting summer with this pair of girls. I learned that I don't really need a container larger than 10 gallons in order to grow very large plants (in my neck of the woods anyway). Now when I say large I mean how much space they take up on my patio. I'm allowed to grow 6 legally but 4 eats up pretty much the whole patio. And the reality is I don't need to grow plants that large. The outdoor yield will last well into next year for me and everybody I know. So next summer I plan to do much more serious pruning to limit the scope and shape of the girls I grow outdoors. I also learned that I don't need an inverted tomato cage style support if my container is larger than 5 gallons. The Durban I grew last summer was in a 5 gallon container and there's not enough weight in there to keep her grounded. Once up to 10 gallons you won't want to lift the container much and there's enough weight in there to keep things stable. At the moment I've listed 450g as a dry weight for both plants (updated to 458g final). I haven't actually weighed the 2nd plant yet and won't even trim her for about a week or so (I'll be back to update diary). The first girl came in at 235 grams. I got pretty ruthless throwing away small budlets and trim this morning as it took me 4 hours to take this big girl down and wash her up. That's only because I spent half a day yesterday trimming Cream & Cheese and moving Northern Lights around... and it's been over 95 degrees both days... so I'm ready for a rest. Cannabis harvesting is not easy labor. Diary note > There was a software malfunction a week or so back and I was unable to add a new flowering week, whereupon it was determined there was a limit of 26 weeks at that time... so I didn't add any more weeks after that until the harvest week. When I added the harvest week, it appears the malfunction had been corrected because I COULD HAVE added a new flowering week at that time. I think there's only a week missing. Differences can be noted with dates on the photos. If I had a problem this summer it's because I was too anxious to get going after a long winter nursing shoulder surgery and I didn't pay proper attention to the lighting ramifications when the instructions were there for me, and subsequently started too early. Next year I plan for an early crop of auto flowers to keep me occupied until the proper time for a regular crop. --------------------------------------- September 30 > Trimming and processing complete. I really manhandled the big girl with the Trimbag, largely because I knew I was gonna have a pound of herb on my hands (way more than I will personally consume) and I wanted to minimize my hand trimming. So when I say manhandled here, I mean I ran it through the process TWICE, using about 40 rotations/spins each time. It probably would have helped to be a tad drier, but we're entering a cool spell now and we've run out of time. Mother Nature has decided to turn off the heater... which has turned my Purple Berry Kush a nice shade of purple... but that's tomorrow mornings's harvest... <sigh>... anyway... where was I... oh yeah... AMNESIA... <hehe> Trimbag generated trim on 1st pass = 217 g Trimbag generated trim on 2nd pass = 90 g Trim generated by hand after that = 186 g Final bud weight for big girl = 223 g Clearly, comparing weight of trim generated by hand vs by the Trimbag here you can see the result of my "manhandling". Little girl was in a 10 gallon pot and generated 235 g buds and 360 g trim. Big girl was in a 15 gallon pot and generated 223 g buds and 493 g trim. Final total bud weight 458 grams for both plants. Hope anybody following along learned something this summer. I did. 😎 The trick is to not make the same mistake twice. That's kinda why we're all here. Kinda. ✊

Today the Blue Cheese Pheno 1 became the first time rinsed, and now only gets 0.4 Ec water for the next 10 days ca :-). Everyone else needs a while. otherwise there is not much to report this week. Good week overall, started with a defoliation and lst for Sugar Mama, she was too unruly and here we are by the end of the week she is full of leaves again. I am going to let her grow as is and save her from more defolation she is not getting taller, yet. All the other girls are doing well, nothing much to report apart from that I found out what is going on with those nutrients and the general unhealth of plants (spots on some, really bright on others, clawed tip, ...) but none seemed too serious. I discovered that because I am towards the end of my nutrients that they were too think and were not actually mixing well into the water explaining why the EC wasn't getting as high as I expected when adding biogrow. Made sure the nutrients are properly mixed (put them in then blast with water to mix well) and water them today with a good mixed meal, expecting them to have better colours soon. The fastberry is looking prettier every day, the deformity that was at the beginning is barely visible now.
