Well the pas week has been a lot! We had some dehydration issues, did some defolitation, and additional LST to prep for flower. Starting today, this plant has been kicked into the flower tent and will be starting its journey! Before we went to flower, I gave this guy 1tbsp of Dr. Earth tomato blend. Over the next week or so we'll be switching to Dr. Earth flower girl. Cheers til next time! -Dj Sunstone

11/07/25: We just entered the third week of flowering and the explosive growth definitely stopped in the past few days! Buds are forming nicely along every branch, stacked with those first white pistils! In the close-ups, you can see those tight clusters starting to take shape, soon the candy factory will be open for business! 🍬I gave them a light feed of Plagrom Green Sensation (1ml/L) to keep the flower sites happy, and they are clearly loving it. No signs of stress, just pure jungle energy. 🦍

Started with some bent which really made side branching take off. I'm just doing leaf tucking, all branches get plenty of light, so no need for bending IMO. One is quite a bit bigger than the other, if this is a fenotype thing or something I did we will never know since the sample is too small to make conclusions... So its the one in the slightly smaller pot that is bigger. Also, I switched positions between both to see if this makes difference... but I never noticed hotspots or such in my earlier grows.... One of my annoyances of small-scale operations is that there is never enough data to be able to make conclusions based in facts. It could always be nature or nurture, because I lack control groups. Maybe my government will someday finally see the backwater retardedness of our way of dealing with cannabis. For now no other option than staying within the law. I like weed and growing but I like my freedom more. The XL Runtz are remarkably resistant and vigorous, with extreme growth in just under three weeks after germination. Beautiful plants and they handle a high light / high organic nute situation from very early on. Coming week I'll just be leaf tucking, no further LST since they are already going into flower. Ill be adding BAC Organic Flower coming days along with my solution of wood ash and perma tea. Also Ill be starting the three 56 ltr growbags to start the three regulars that will run in the same 18 hr lightschedule. And that light, trusty SP-3000, what a machine, what results so far and how reliable so far. She doesn't get too warm at all, just contributes to a nice greenhouse atmosphere without any climate management other than me checking temps and RH. Usually, I need no adjusting, no ventilation, no heating or airco, my system is pretty self-containing and autonomous in the stabile attack where it is. And lets be real, I get results as in grams per watt and per plant that only the 600 watt / Hydroponic guys get. With organic growing, in such small scale with 300 watt. 🌱 Veg Week 5 – Erholung & Vorbereitung auf den Flip Veg Woche 5 war etwas holprig. Während ein paar Tagen Abwesenheit standen die Pflanzen zu trocken, kombiniert mit 24h LED-Licht, was zu leichtem Stress und CalMag-Mangel geführt hat (unruhige Blattfarbe, viele kleine Budsites). Nach Anpassungen: Umstellung auf 18/6 Licht etwas entschärft CalMag-Gabe leichtes Lollipopping & Defolieren Bereits nach wenigen Tagen zeigen die Pflanzen eine deutliche Erholung: neues Wachstum ist vital, Triebe werden kräftiger und die Pflanzen wirken insgesamt entspannter. Das Zelt ist gut gefüllt, weitere Trainingsmassnahmen sind nicht geplant. Der Stretch soll den Rest erledigen. Der Flip in die Blüte ist in den nächsten Tagen geplant, sobald die Erholung vollständig abgeschlossen ist.

1/20/2023- So much to do pre grow and over the next 16 days, absolute first order of business is that I have to take down my current Grow---TIMBER-- Then I have a list of things I have to get done in order to be ready to start this grow 1 Feb. With that said T - 2 days until start 48 hour Flush T - 2 days until Start 48 hours of Light T - 4 days until TIMBER!!! Items that need to be done before 1 Feb 2023 1. I need to clean the tent out 2. I need to clean the equipment- Proper Sanitization between grows in Hydro is a must!!! 3. I need to get the hole in the ceiling above my tent repaired- For my last grow I had a deep sink installed in my grow room, to make Hydroponics a little bit easier and have a water source in the same room. The seals on the pipes they were installing broke and leaked through the ceiling causing some damage all the way across my grow room, I was already weeks into my grow and couldn't risk them working above my tent and it would have been very awkward positon for them to be working in as well, so have to get this done quickly between chop and germination. 4. I have to install my new light- I was using a Vivosun 4000 and for this grow I am switching up to a Spider-farmer SF 7000. 1/20/23- For this upcoming grow I am working with M/F photo seeds so I ordered 4 Sex determination kits. I recieved my my 4 Sex determination testing kits from Rimrock Analytics today. I will be using these to test my plants at week 2 of Veg so that when/if I take clones I know I am taking them off females. As well as I don't want to accidently pollinate my tent during this grow I am looking for big beautiful buds not seeded buds. :-) 1/24/2023- Harvest of current grow- Started at 2:00pm and finshed wet trim and firt batch into the freeze dryer. 1/25/2023- Next batch into the freeze dryer and cleaning all my equipment for this Grow. T-1 Day until the workers are supposed to be here to fix the hole in the Grow Room. T-3 days until I instll my new Gorilla Grow Tent and my New Light Spider Farmer SE-7000 for this grow. T-7 Days until Start of Germination 1/26/2023- Harvest is done ran through the Freeze dryer and dry tim completed. 1/27/2023- Grow Room repairs completed. Hole is gone Letting the paint dry before I install the new tent. T-2 days until Install the New Gorilla Grow tent and the new Light T-3 days until I put the hydro equipment in the new tent T-5 days until Germination 1/29/2023- Day 0- Final Pre Germination activities Germination Start T-3 days The paint on the ceiling was dry and it was time to finish prepping for Germination. I got the following items knocked off my list. New 4X4 Gorilla Grow Tent is up and ready New Spider Farmer SE-7000 Light is installed- Thanks Moony Grows for the suggestion and for the Code that got me some money off and free shipping (Moonygrows)!! I turned the lights all the way up to max and set the timer to 18/6 0600-0000. I will keep an eye on the temperature and humidity without my plants and see how hot it gets with the new light. I put my Hydro system back together and put in 40 gallons of water into it, time to monitor for leaks the next few days. I Setup my cloning machine for Germination Days 3-11 1/30/2023 let me break down the situation, ROOM in the TENT.. Enough said.. No really I tried putting my exhaust system up in the new tent with my new light, The light is so big corner to corner that it really didn't give me enough room for the lights be be raised, with the exahust hanging the buckets my plants are Starting in are 2 and 1/2 feet off the ground, great for plenty of room for roots but not so great for upwards space for the plant to grow. In a 6' 11 tent with the exauhst in side and hanging that only gave me a little over 4 feet of grow room to play with. My last grow if you saw my diary, anyone could tell I was struggling to keep the buds off the lights. No good, Since space was such an issue I was running my carbon filter inside on the ground but It really needed to be up sucking the heat out not shooting the cool out. With that setup I was sucking air through the filter and pushing it out the tent at a bottom exhaust hole cold out. Wasn't doing me any good for my heat. I was hitting temps of up to 85 degrees. I bought a portable AC unit and have been running it in the grow room to try and keep temps below 85 and I have had to lower the power on my lights during grow also not ideal.. With that said a friend of mine MoonyGrows (Check out his diary) took the time to look at my issue send me a picture of my grow tent setup with detailed instructions on how to suck the air out from the top but putting my filter and fan on top of my tent so no room issue and I am sucking the air out from the top where the heat is instead of pushing the air out from the bottom where the cool is... THANK YOU MoonyGrows For taking the time to help me get this straightened out.. Now I have room and I have the exhausts working right and now my temps with everything at 100% are topping out at 80 this dropped the temp by 5 + degrees at 100% max. T-2 days until Start of Germination Prepped my seed tray with humidity dome Prepped my Rapid Rooter plugs. I Used RO water, and I added a few drops of Hydrogen peroxide to Oxygenate the water. I then PH balanced between 5.7-6.0 the same that they will be getting in the Cloning Machine and when they get to thier final grow pod. I perfere the 5.8x range and I hit 5.84 for these rapid rooters. Have my seed tray warming up tonight. Tomorrow morning right into the Rapid Rooter then strait into the tray. I will spray the dome to start the humidity in there. 2/1/2023 Germination Day!! Let the games begin! 0600am Put the seeds into the Root Riots. And then put the seeded Root Riots into their first home the Seed tray. I have them under the light 24/7. Sprayed the dome 7:30pm Sprayed the Dome to keep humidity going on the dome. 2/2/2023 Day 1 of Germination Sprayed the Dome in the morning Sprayed the Dome in the evening 2/3/2023 Day 2 of Germination Roots are starting to come out the bottom of the root riot plugs and the heads are slowly popping out of Number 4 just below the surface. Afternoon- Number 4 has popped up Evening- Number 3 has popped up as well. Happy Dance!! 2/4/2023 Day 3 - Germination Surprise Surprise Surprise- all 4 have now poked their heads up.. Happy day!! 100% Germination succeeded. Now major milestone to track is how many are female and how many are male. I will take look at the roots this afternoon/evening and see if they have enough root to go into the cloning machine for the next 7 days before they go into their Hydro Pods. Day 3 - Germination - Evening.. Roots looked good and they were tall enough to make it into the cloning machine. Now that they are all in the cloning machine I have switched the lighting to veg state 18 on 6 off. 2/5/2023 Day 4 - Germination - Morning All the Ladies (fingers crossed) looking great stretching nicely and look nice and green, Photo synthesis underway.... UPDATE!! After a very interesting POD cast on FSTS by Dr. Bruce Bugsbee from Utah University, I have shifted my lighting to 24 hours on through seedling and then I am going to shift to 20 hours on the rest of Veg. 2/6/2023 Day 5 - Germination While Checking on my conditions inside the new tent last night, I found that the Humidity was down to 39 Percent. I added an AquaOasis Cool Mist Humidifier, the reason I selected this humidifier is that I needed one that could be turned on and off utilizing my Inkbird Humidity Controller IHC200 that I have my Pro Breeze Dehumidifier currently running with. Root structures are starting to get there about 1/4 of an inch. 2/7/2023 Day 6 - Germination Everything seems on track more roots poking out of each today. They are each getting a little taller as well. Checked in the evening and number 3 was drooping the Root riot plug on the bottome was dry and the roots were not in the water yet. I raised the water just enough that the longest root that was sticking out is now hitting the water. 2/8/2023 Day 7 - Germination Everything looked good while checking in on them this morning number 3 is now full up and no droop again. 2/9/2023 Day 8 - Germination T-2 days until Plant into Forever Pods and we start week 1 of Veg .. :-) Surprising thing to me is that number 1 and 2 were later in popping then 3 and 4 but the roots are growing longer in 1 and 2. 2/10/2023 Day 9 - Germination Number 1 and Number 2 are definitely ready for transplant today.. Based on how they were yesterday and where they are today I am hoping by tomorrow 3 and 4 are ready. Today they look to me where 1 and 2 did yesterday.. I really hope 3 and 4 catch up by tomorrow since.. T-1 day until transplant to new/ final home for grow. Need the roots long enough to have some clay down in the basket to keep the root riot out of the water and only roots in the water.. 2/11/2023 Day 10 - Germination Today they got placed in thier forever Home, 7 days from Sprout and 7 days until Week 1 Start. PPM- 180 this is water out of the Tap Temp Water: 70.7 Temp Tent: 77 Humidity: 40% I have a humidifier going 24/7 to try and bring this up.. I also have Humidity Domes on each plant. 2/12/2023 Day 11 - Germination Sprayed the domes, all are looking good.. Nothing much to do at this phase but Keep monitoring the PH level in the system and making sure they have a comfortable home. T-6 days until Week 1 start 2/13/2023 Day 12 - Germination Sprayed the domes, They were looking a little yellow today so I moved the light down to assist. Nothing much to do at this phase but Keep monitoring the PH level in the system and making sure they have a comfortable home. T-5 days until Week 1 start 2/14/2023 Day 13 - Germination Sprayed the domes, They were looking a little Florissant yellow today, with what looks like slight burn on the tips, I talked with a fellow grower and we agreed that It was probably that I was drowning them, Yes you can drown you plants even in Hydro, but only early on.. :-) It usually happens with the water being too high, which soaks not only the roots but the medium (root Riot plug in this case). I lowered the water from touching the bottom of the pot to about 1" away. This will probably take 3-4 days to resolve. I will continue my daily monitoring. T-4 days until Week 1 start 2/15/2023 Day 14 - Germination Sprayed the domes, continue my daily monitoring they look a little darker green instead of lime green now that I lowered the water levels in the system, so I think that I might have resolved the issue but it will take a few days for recovery to happen. T-3 days until Week 1 start 2/16/2023 Day 15 - Germination I looked in on them this morning, 3 and 4 look like they are doing well and recovering nicely. Number 1 not so much it has brown spots on the leaves, this very well can still be a side effect of the overwatering but I decide to go ahead and add Nutes earlier than I was planning just incase. I was going to wait until Saturday but I think intervention is necessary now especially after drowning them early on. I added 1/2 what I am planning on adding for week 1 start. I also think I am going to adjust my chart to add 1/2 2 days after plant from now on. I don't think it would hurt it to have some Nutes to pull from. .25ml/Gal Calmag = 12.5ml 1ml/gal GH FloraMicro= 50ml 1ml/gal GH FloraGro = 50ml 1ml/gal GH FloraBloom = 50ml T-2 days until Week 1 start = I will drain the system and start it over on Saturday with Week 1 Nutes. 2/17/2023 Day 16- Germination I didn't even want to post today after looking in on them this morning, 3 of the 4 are now showing signs of dronwing.. Brown spots on the leaves, the water levels were still too high.. I drained about another inch out of the tanks.. Will see how quick they recover.. I start week 1 tomorrow and will have to ensure my water levels are at least 1" away from the basket on this round.

Ich werde vorsichtig damit anfangen, CalMag aufzudüngen. Bin aber relativ zurückhaltend, da ich in der Vergangenheit so oft Salzstress ausgelöst habe

This thing is smelling so delicious. Resin is starting to get heavy, and the buds are really swelling. Had just a touch of nutrient burn from bringing Foop into the fold, but I think she's handling that just fine and dandy.

Purple CousKush Pheno B isn't asking for much. She's not complaining. She's not creating problems. She's not demanding special treatment. She's simply growing. Flowering. Building. And looking absolutely beautiful while doing it. 😂💜 At this stage of the adventure, I think that's exactly what I want from her. We're reaching that part of the cycle where there isn't necessarily a lot left for the grower to do. We've built the plants. We've trained them. We've managed the canopies. We've provided the environment. We've given them the nutrition and the light. Now? We mostly provide whatever they ask for and stay out of the way. And Purple CousKush Pheno B isn't asking for much. She's perfectly happy continuing at her own rhythm. So... let's give this girl her spotlight. 🌱 The 8×8 Adventure — Everybody Has Their Own Rhythm For anyone discovering this diary for the first time, welcome to the 8×8 Adventure. Twelve different plants. Different genetics. Different phenotypes. One general cultivation environment. One lighting philosophy. One nutrition strategy. One room. And yet... twelve different stories. That's what makes this project so interesting. Some girls have been more demanding. Some have needed more attention. Some are extremely compact. Some spread themselves out. Some move faster. Some take their time. And some, like this Purple CousKush Pheno B, basically look at me and say: "I'm fine. Just keep the drinks coming." 😂💜 Fair enough. That's exactly what we're doing. 💜 Week 10 — She's Still Doing Her Thing She's sitting around 96 cm, which puts her firmly into the more moderate-sized category of this run. She's not a giant. She's not a dwarf. She's not trying to take over the tent. But she's also not cramped into a tiny little package. Instead, she's developed a really nice spread through the available space. And that's something I'm appreciating more and more. She's not particularly compact. Her branches have room to spread. Her flowering sites occupy the space naturally. And the plant has developed a nice relationship between height and lateral structure. She's using the space she's been given. Not excessively. Not wastefully. Just... nicely. And honestly, that's a very satisfying phenotype to work with. 🌿 Beautifully Spread Through Her Space One of the things that catches my attention this week is how nicely she's occupying the space around her. She's not simply a vertical column of flowers. She's spreading outward. The branches have developed into their own little framework, with flowering sites distributed throughout the structure. That gives her a completely different appearance from some of the more compact girls in the room. And that's exactly what I love about comparing phenotypes. Her sister tells a different story. Other Purple CousKush plants tell different stories. This one? She likes a little more room. And she's using it beautifully. There's something elegant about seeing a plant naturally occupy the space available to her without becoming excessively stretched. She's simply finding her own shape. And I like her shape. 🌸 The Buds Are Getting Serious Now let's talk about the flowers. Because... damn. 😂💜 The buds are becoming seriously beautiful. They're gaining density. They're becoming more defined. They're carrying more visual weight. And the overall flowering structure is starting to look increasingly mature. This is the point where you stop looking at little flowering sites and start seeing proper buds developing throughout the plant. The structures are filling. The individual flowers are becoming more substantial. And the whole plant is increasingly dominated by those beautiful flowering formations. This is what we've been waiting for. And she's delivering. ❄️ Very, Very Frosty And then there is the frost. She's getting seriously frosty. The resin is becoming increasingly obvious across the flowers and surrounding sugar leaves. Get the camera close... and suddenly everything becomes about texture. Tiny resin-covered surfaces. Pistils. Calyxes. Sugar leaves. Layers upon layers of detail. This is exactly where my love of macro photography and growing overlap. Because you can stand back and see a beautiful plant. Then you move closer... and suddenly you're looking at an entire microscopic landscape. And Purple CousKush Pheno B is giving me plenty to explore. The name CousKush might be the first thing you read. But that frost? That's what makes you stay and look. 😂❄️💜 🌸 The Hairs Are Changing Beautifully I'm also really enjoying the way the pistils are developing. They're no longer just those fresh white hairs we see in early flower. They're beginning to show more character as the flowers progress. The colour is changing. The flowers are maturing. And that contrast between the developing pistils and the green floral structures is beautiful. It's another little sign that we're moving forward. Not finished. Not ready to write the ending. But definitely progressing. And this is the stage where every week becomes increasingly interesting. Because eventually, those little changes start adding up. 🌿 And Those Leaves... The foliage continues looking beautiful too. Nice colour. Nice structure. Nice overall appearance. And there's something particularly satisfying about seeing healthy-looking foliage surrounding flowers that are becoming this dense and frosty. The leaves are still doing their job. They're still contributing to the plant. They're still capturing light. They're still supporting the flowering process. And I'm not interested in removing healthy foliage just because we're getting deeper into flower. At this point, if the plant is comfortable and the canopy is functioning... leave her alone. 😂 She's got this. ✂️ No More Need for the Scissors We've already done the canopy work earlier in the flowering cycle. That work served its purpose. The plant has room. The structure is functional. Air can move through it. Light can reach the important areas. And now? I'm not going back in simply because I feel like I should be doing something. That's one of the biggest lessons of this stage. Sometimes the best cultivation technique is: Don't touch it. 😂 At this point, we're not trying to redesign Purple CousKush. We're watching her finish. If she doesn't ask for something... I'm not going to invent a problem. 💡 The Photons Keep Coming The Future of Grow Black Series LED continues providing the primary overhead lighting, while Lumiflora contributes additional light beneath the canopy. And this girl is clearly making use of that environment. She's built plenty of flowering structure. She's developing dense buds. She's producing visible resin. And she's filling her available space naturally. That's what I want to see. The light provides the opportunity. The environment provides the conditions. The plant's genetics decide what happens with that opportunity. And Purple CousKush Pheno B has decided to make some beautiful flowers. I'm perfectly happy with her decision. 💜🌿✨ 🔬 This Is Why Phenotypes Are So Interesting Looking at this girl beside her sister is particularly fun. Same genetic line. Same general room. Same lighting. Same environmental philosophy. Same grower. But completely different expressions. One phenotype may be more compact. Another may spread wider. One may produce a different flower structure. Another may develop different proportions. And that's the entire reason I wanted to document these plants individually. Because if I simply looked at Purple CousKush as one thing, I'd miss all of this. There isn't one Purple CousKush story. There are individual stories. And this one is telling me: "I'm going to spread out, build beautiful dense flowers, get very frosty, and otherwise leave you alone." 😂💜 I like that story. 🌸 We're Getting Into the "Watch and Wait" Stage This is where the entire room is becoming especially interesting. Most of the girls are moving quickly now. The flowering structures are established. The plants have largely finished deciding how they're going to occupy their space. And the grower starts becoming less of a sculptor... and more of a caretaker. We provide what they need. We monitor. We observe. We keep the environment stable. And we wait. Because from here, the plant has a lot of the work left to do. Density. Resin. Maturity. Final flower development. And eventually... the finish line. Stable nutrition. Stable irrigation. And a plant that appears perfectly comfortable inside those conditions. That's exactly what I want. The less drama the plant gives me... the more I can concentrate on observing what her genetics are actually doing. And this phenotype is giving us plenty to observe. 📸 This Week's Gallery The photographs this week really show the progression. The full-plant shots demonstrate how nicely she's spreading through the available space. The closer photographs reveal the flower density. And once you get close enough... the frost becomes impossible to ignore. There's something very satisfying about photographing her now. She's developed enough structure that the plant tells a story from a distance. But there are enough details in the flowers that you can keep getting closer and still find something interesting. And that's exactly what I want from these late-flowering photographs. Not just: "Here's the plant." But: "Here's what the plant has become." 💜 She's Not Asking for Much — And That's a Good Thing I think I've said this several times about this girl now. But it keeps being true. She's not demanding. She's not troublesome. She's not dramatic. She's not constantly asking for intervention. She's just growing beautifully. And at this stage? That's almost the perfect plant. Because we're reaching the point where there's not much I want to do to her anyway. I want her to finish. I want her to build. I want her to mature. I want her to show me what those flowers can become. So if she's happy... I'm happy. Simple. 😂💜 🔭 Looking Ahead — How Will She Finish? And now comes the fun part. We're getting closer. Not at the finish line yet. But close enough that the question becomes increasingly interesting: How is Purple CousKush Pheno B going to finish? Will those dense flowers continue swelling? How much more resin will appear? How will the pistils continue changing? How much more maturity will we see in the buds? And what will this beautiful, nicely spread-out plant ultimately look like when she decides she's done? I genuinely don't know. And I'm not going to pretend I do. That's the fun. We watch. We document. We provide. And we let the plant write the ending. ❤️ Final Thoughts — She's Shining Purple CousKush Pheno B is another girl in this run who is making my job wonderfully simple. She's growing. She's flowering. She's spreading nicely through her available space. She's producing dense flowers. She's getting very frosty. The pistils are developing beautiful colour. The foliage looks great. And she's not asking me for much at all. Honestly... what more could I ask for? 😂💜 She's not the smallest plant in the room. She's not the tallest. She's not particularly compact. She's not trying to be anything she's not. She's simply using the space she's been given and turning it into flowers. And I really like that. This whole 8×8 Adventure keeps reminding me that there isn't one correct way for a plant to express itself. Some plants compress. Some spread. Some stretch. Some stay short. Some build giant central flowers. Some create beautiful clusters throughout the branches. And Purple CousKush Pheno B? She's found her own way. A nice spread. Beautiful structure. Dense flowers. Heavy frost. Beautiful colour. And absolutely no drama. 💜🌿❄️ We're at that beautiful point now where I don't feel like I need to do much. I just need to provide whatever she asks for. And this girl isn't asking for much. So we'll keep doing exactly that. Keep the environment stable. Keep her supplied. Keep watching. Keep photographing. And let her finish in her own time. Because she's already given me a beautiful plant. Now I want to see what she does with the time that's left. And I have to admit... I'm very curious. Pablo Escobar is still making progress. She had the two neem oil treatments. Hopefully I broke whatever pest is bothering them. Still no sign of what it is. Even under 100x magnification. I might of got it. If not I will get a Insecticide soap of some kind. She is still growing after the treatment stress. I need to resolve it prior flowering is all I know. Day 64 - 30/12/19 yo whats up folks, hope you all had a good christmas, apologies for no updates over the last month i took a little break to rest up and get started again fresh! everything has been going great over the last month, i smoked my last plant all over christmas and it improved my mental health so much. anyways on to the final weeks of the diesel auto. when the plant went into flowering its constantly had minor issues with leaves yellowing and falling off. could be my ph pen again or it could be that the plants are growing into the light and getting bleached. its still producing really sticky buds and I started my flush yesterday (day 63) so yellowing is fine. So this is the Tear Down week. The timing of it makes it so i will need to the harvest flag in a few days when I can weight and test the plants. I have included the Cleaning, and Cutting and some Root Porn. I will make the harvest post in about 4-5 days, when I can trim these plants. There is a lot of Plant here. I got way more than I was expecting. I don't have a scale that measure this amount of plant, without taking like 10 measurements and then adding them together. So I will just be posting the dry weight. I will post the wet weight as dry weight * 1.65. Autopots: Wow, what a great product. I have been blown away by how well and how easy it was to work with them. They really did solve the watering issues. Excellent product. If you are a beginner, start with Autopots. -= Lessons Learnt =- - Overdrive the air to your Autopots. In my control plant, I used a small rectangle air stone (instead of a standard air dome). This lead to root rot and some other issues, it also put significantly less air into the water. The root rot, give the material for the Brown Algae to grow. Using a huge Air-disc-Air-Stone would be an excellent combo to mix in with the air dome itself. Something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Pawfly-Diffuser-Suction-Hydroponics-Aquarium/dp/B01MY3AQ33 at the bottom and the air-dome on top of it, will be what I do with my next experiment. - Air stone in the reservoir. I had two instances where algae grew into the res. An air stone would have helped. It would have also helped my control plant get less root rot. Given the amount that the air-domes and air sources got engulfed, having the water have more o2 in it would have only been beneficial. - Don't grow 6 plants in a 4x4. Since my control plant was about 1/8th the size of the others, I think I could have grown 5 in the shape of a 5 (on a 6 sided dice)⚄ This placement would give a much more spaced canopy for airflow and more importantly light. The sides of some of the plants were lighter green and produced larf due to lack of light penetration. - This tent was on 19-5 schedule. This worked out very well for this strain. After every lights on, they were in the praying position, so this strain was able to recover in that 5hrs off. If I had more seeds, I would run these again, and try 20-4. I think this strain could handle it. All for all, I think I'm going to 19-5 as my default timing. This kept up a solid DLI. - Staring at .9EC (really .7 EC cause my water here is .2 EC) Then bumping up at .1 a week, until 1.6EC worked out VERY well. I experimented on this crop all the way up to 1.9EC, which burnt the tips of this plant. I think if I did this strain again, I would do 1.6EC until 3-4 weeks left then crank it to 1.9. It did plump them up when I went to 1.9, however it left them looking rough. Bulk was added though. - Sticking to 6.0PH for all of veg, and 2 weeks into flower worked great. The plant had solid and consistent color and leaf shape . The plant's did get hurt, due to some issues (as noted on the weeks). I switched to 6.5 PH in the last 3-4 weeks and it helped them recover, and plump up noticeably. -VPD. The #1 thing I focused on was VPD. I keep it .9kpa range, as best as humanly possible. It was honestly, HUGELY noticeable compared to my other grows. I know truly understand the value of properly dialed in VPD. This is the one lesson that will stick with me forever. - Super-cropping: On the plants I give the chiropractic treatment too, had much thicker stems as much larger channel internally. I did this treatment to 4 of the 6, and the 4 that had it done has larger buds and recovered from defoliation faster. TLDR; VPD is king. Super-cropping is worth the time. Keeping PH and EC dialed in were all wins. Autopots kick ass.
