I’m measuring plant biomass this time around: plant HEIGHT, leaf WIDTH and CANOPY width for as long as possible, before tent space MAXED OUT. Target maximum plant height - 36”- 40”. Allowance for canopy width expansion of 2 plants in a 2x4x6 tent - varying between 24” - 36” from late vegetative stage through flowering. This is a stretch as far as space goes. One single plant would have be enough to fully fill the entire canopy of multiple colas. In other words, although one can legally grow up to 4 medicinal plants in Canada, and I chose to grow 2 of them, that does not necessarily mean extra yield. Plants are thriving and read to be flipped into flowering stage next. Light intensity increases and so does DLI. PPFD=683 and DLI=44.1. Photoperiod changes to 12/12 in week 6

Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering. Although the seed description said 10 to 11 weeks, I going to cut these girls down at 10 weeks. I need the room to grow and flower some Mac and Crack that's already growing.. Getting close to harvest I'll start flushing, But I'll give them 1 more feeding and then nothing but water till the end. I get much better taste and the buds smoke better if I flush and get the chemicals out of the soil before harvest. Well, that's the end of the Freak Bros. book # 10... I think there are 3 or 4 more books left in that series. I'll show them in future diaries. My other diaries have the old underground comic book, Weirdo by Robert Crumb if you want to check them out to see. The buds are really getting solid now and some are getting heavy and heading for the floor. Good times... Getting some great smells now. Musk is the most common. But some, smell of Citrus with Musk under tones. The smell is overpowering my carbon filter. I can smell these plants out by the street if the wind is blowing that way. Pure Lemon Skunk smell by the street. Nice. Getting near the end of their lives now and there are more yellow leaves as the plants pull what they need from the big fan leaves before turning the leaves brown. Some plants have sticky resin and some have slippery resin. OK. Have Fun. Chuck.

12/30/23 - Day 54 - Hello All! I started this week a day early. I wanted to update everyone on something I have been thinking about a lot. Curing. I feel if there was a hole in my growing skills it would be curing. Last grow there was more than I had anticipated. I was not set up for curing 1 lb. I threw in an audible at the last minute. It worked out but I know I can improve with some trial and error and hands-on experience. So after reading a ton, and going off of some of my prior builds for drying, I came up with this design. I have a controller that will turn the air on and will run when the contents inside the box hit whatever RH% I want to set it at. I think the first week I will set it for 78%RH, then every couple of days go down a % until I hit 62%. The thought is that if the bucket gets above the set RH% then the air will kick on and distribute air across the buds until the RH% is back down to where you want it. It will force the humidity out. I won't need to worry about burping. It will happen on its own.... in theory. Ill update tomorrow with some pictures after the water change. 12/31/23 - Day 55 - Everything is looking good. The water change completed this morning while I was in the shower. Its adding nutes now and will do so over the next hour or so. She is starting to get stinky. I had to add the extra carbon filter to the room. I've got some pics up top of that. Happy New Year! Next time I post it will be in 2024! Have a great night and be safe! I got a comment on the bushy-ness and I got self-conscious and gave her a trim. Lol I have been going bath and forth for a while and that gave me the push to give her a little trim. 28-9-2019 Out of the 3 different strains I am growing right now.This purple Kush is doing absolutely marvelous. No sign of deficiencies at all. The main stock is so thick and fat I am totally surprised( larger than a thumb) leaves are lush green and no tip burns anywhere. As soon as my new 940 watt Conversion bulb gets here (this week) It's flower time baby.😎
