Week 4 update! 🌱 Week 3 is done, and the ladies are now three weeks into their flowering phase. So far, everything has gone really well. However, one bud and the plants in the front showed slight signs of potassium overfertilization, which likely caused a calcium uptake issue and led to minor necrosis. No worries, though – today I completely flushed the entire system and replaced it with a fresh solution. With this reset, everything should be back on track 💪💧. On top of that, I decided to bring out an old Cree& Osram LED lamp as a booster. This will provide the two smaller front plants with more light intensity so they can metabolize the higher nutrient levels more effectively 💡🌿. Everything is looking great so far! Eine Bud und die Pflanzen vorne zeigten jedoch leichte Anzeichen von Kalium-Überdüngung, was wahrscheinlich zu einer Kalzium-Aufnahmehemmung geführt und leichte Nekrosen verursacht hat. Kein Grund zur Sorge – heute habe ich das komplette System gründlich durchgespült und die Lösung durch eine frische ersetzt. Mit diesem Reset sollte jetzt wieder alles reibungslos laufen 💪💧. Außerdem habe ich beschlossen, eine alte Cree& Osram LED-Lampe als Booster herauszuholen. Damit bekommen die beiden kleineren Pflanzen vorne eine stärkere Lichtintensität, damit sie die höheren Nährstoffwerte besser verstoffwechseln können 💡🌿. Es sieht alles richtig gut aus! Week 3 (14-2 to 20-2) 14-2 Watering: Gorilla Kush#1: 114 ml. Gorilla Kush#2: 117 ml. 15-2 Watering: None. No pictures. 16-2 Watering: Gorilla Kush#1: 119 ml. Gorilla Kush#2: 121 ml. 17-2 Watering: None. 18-2 Watering: None. Today i will transplant the plants, i will mix 70% Coco coir with 30% Perlite. The plants go into 18L AutoPots. I use the Airdome combined with an airstone. I covered half of the airdome with coco, and the remaining half with clay pebbles. The rest of the 18L pot filled with the coco mix, and the plants. I gave both plants a 1.5L topfeed, and into the tent they go! The light is at 70% strength, with a distance of 60 cm. 19-2 Temperature: 25.7 degrees (lights on) 20.4 degrees (lights off) Humidity: 64% (highest) 45% (lowest) Watering: None. Light strength reduced to 60% 20-2 Temperature: 25.4 degrees (lights on) 20 degrees (lights off) Humidity: 64% (highest) 50% (lowest) Watering: None.

I would give this strain an average rating. Nothing great nor bad. I have had both better and worse strains.

Well looks like my yield is going to be substantial. Noticed accelerated growth in the last 3-4 days. Been using cinnamon (anti-fungal) and perlite to top their substrate. Also been using a foliar spray twice daily (dusk/dawn). Lighting is supplemented with waterproof C.O.B. led's which run 20hrs on 4 off besides on exceptionally sunny afternoons where I then turn them off til shade casts again. Total growers but not showers. No strong calyx formation yet, maybe into first week of flower.

8/19. I notice some fading on the older leaves. Looking back at what I been feeding. Looks like I been getting ready for bud, but she hasn't. So tomorrow I'm giving her a solid nitrogen feed. She is growing like crazy. Only makes sense 8/20 Gave her a solid feeding of N. Foxfarm Grow Big. 30 mls in 2 gallons of water. She is getting to be voluptuous, so hopefully I made the right move. 8/22 gallon and a half of tea. This time cow poop and worm castings. She is showing definite signs of flowers. Next watering I'm going to feed her nuits for flowering. Few days ago she was fed a good amount of Foxfarm Grow Big. She is a good size plant, so I'm sure I can get away with another feeding. Just going to make sure there is not a lot of nitrogen. She is forming her colas. Think I'm just starting to see how big she really is. 8/24 and have not had to water for 2 days. Rain and not that hot, however the heat is back. So she is going to be thirsty.

So, with these interesting times and what is becoming a fast evolving global catastrophe. I, myself, along with the rest of you ( I hope ) can take some solace in looking after our gardens, to have some peace away from the news, to give our ladies the best care we are able to provide 🌱 If you ever needed any vindication or validation as to why growing your own is best. More than half the world currently in lockdown, and with MJ in short supply, our actions speak for themselves! Anyway, back to this diary. I done a lot of work on the room, invested a lot and tried to make everything as automated as possible. Everything runs on smart plugs, the hydroponic system is DIY and is RDWC which is cooled with a Hailea 150a. 6 plants is what I am going for this time, with a shorter veg length compared to the last grow. I prefer to wait until they show their sex, but if they don’t by week 5, I plan on flipping anyway all being well. I am using 730nm LED’s that come on 15 mins before lights on, turn off during lights on, and then they come back on when lights go out, and stay on for 15 mins. This should enable me to run 13/11 during flower with little risk. I am also going to add a UVB fixture to my custom rig which will only be used during the final 2 weeks of flower. I have 3 Alibaba lights attached to a custom rig, they really are awesome lights. I tested the room out with an Apogee SQ-520 par meter (PAR map in pics). I have dimmed them down, so PAR is around 500 across the whole canopy, this will be increased to 1000 once they’re flipped. I vent from my house, to the room and then outside, this increases the CO2 in the room, which I think helped the yields on the last grow, generally CO2 hovers between 470 and 700 PPM. My ladies look a little sick, but tbh, I struggle starting out in Rockwool, and things usually correct themselves within a couple weeks. With the quarantine I have struggled to pick up a humidifier that is capable of maintaining that room, so it has been all over the place since the start. I have opted to go with Royal Gorilla this cycle, let’s see if it’s as potent as RQS says that it is! Good luck all and take care...

My Purple Star Killer girl looks great. I am doing a lot of LST to try to keep her spread out and not get too tall. She's drinking 5 gallons a day now and I think I'll have move that up to 10 gallons soon.

This plant was the smallest of the 3 I am growing, she is now second biggest and by next week will be the tallest. Only using dry amendments and she is loving life. Going to be a good one.

Adjusted the light distance to 55cm again it was toooo close about 32cm. 10/12/2019 - Decided to go back and check the basics, removed led strip to give a proper 'night' time, changing light cycle to 20/4h no more 'exotic' 22/2h, re-checked the light distance every 2 to 3 days to ensure 60-45cm and I can tell all ready she is loving it. Also added home made Co2 made with 1 tsp of yeast, 3/4 tsp of sugar 700ml of warm water in a 1l bottle with a tiny pin hole on the cap. 11/12/2019 - Fed her 1.5l of 6.5PH water with 0,5ml of each Grow, Bloom, Max and Alga-mic, and 1ml of each Heaven and Vera,noticed about 10% run off. 12/12/2019 - 8 weeks have passed and no flowers I guess I'm flipping to 1212h to see if she reacts.

Hey guys! Here we are in Week 9, and honestly, nothing major to report. The plant’s doing fine — my main focus is still on pH stability. I feel like the coco is finally buffering around 5.9 – 6.0, which is exactly what I’ve been aiming for. I’m keeping a close eye on it. On the nutrient side, I’m sticking with the Athena base. I did add some Balance to the mix. Just to explain: I actually push the pH way higher than usual at first — up to about 7.4 — before adding the Athena nutrients. Once everything is mixed, it drops down to around 6.3, and then with just a drop or two of pH Down, I dial it back to 6.0–6.1. Right now, in the saucer I’m reading about 5.9–6.1, and the reservoir is showing about the same. So it looks like the buffer is finally kicking in. Structurally, I topped the plant and now I’ve got four nice apexes that I’ll train slowly over the next weeks. After the defoliation, I’m letting her recover and put some energy back into growth. Next week, I might start adding a little Rhino Skin (Advanced Nutrients) to help strengthen the stems and give her a more solid structure. But no rush — we’ll see how she goes. For now, EC is steady around 1.4–1.5, which is enough. I’ll bump it up later as needed. That’s it for this week — keeping the pH steady, letting her recover from topping, and just being patient. 03/15 - Coming into week 2 Veg no issues to report - Both are growing accordingly as expected - running high temps high humidity - Nute feeds will increase as they grow out - One will be ran as a stand alone mother and the other a clone mother. 03/18 - Both ladies are rocking accordingly - P2 is about an inch shorter then P1 but still rocking nonetheless - Both will continue in the nursery tent through week 6 veg when they are transplanted into 5 gallon pots for phase 3 of this grow😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
