12/25/23 - Beg of week Building water level back up

Hey folks, Transplant done today, May 30th, into the final pot. Now she’s in Buddha’s hands 🕉️😄 This one was tricky to transfer—I knew it would be tough since I let the roots grow too much due to lack of time to properly focus on this project and the extra time wait for the order with the Leca base to arrive! That made it hard to separate the soil from the rootball and position it over Buddha. I really should’ve done it at week two, or starting in a smaller pot to avoid all that root chaos! 😅 But hey, let’s see how she responds and what the final result will be! 🤞🏻💚🧡 ------------------------------------------------------------- 31/05/2025 When I cleaned the roots, she wilted a bit—as expected—but just a few hours later, that same night, her leaves were perky again, showing that everything went smoothly and she's full of strength! 😄 Today I cut a small branch and a leaf that were growing in the direction I want to twist the plant into a spiral, as you can see in the video. A few more hours and she should be perky again 🙂

So this week has really absolutely crawled by from my perspective, I imagine it is common with growing that the closer you get to harvest the further away it seems. Anyway I am a bit worried about the middle sized plant - she has a lot more yellowing of fan leaves from the inside out. My reaction to this was to flush her with clean water, my thinking is that everything was fine before I started feeding, and perhaps I didn't mix properly and the soluble stuff was unevenly distributed. That was yesterday (week 6 day 4) It's too soon to tell if this has helped, fingers crossed it doesn't begin to affect other leaves. Despite this being only 5 days into week 6, there have already been fairly drastic changes. Some of the buds are starting to fatten more, and I'd say we're at about 15% pistils amber now, the smell has noticeably increased day by day. It's really beautiful to look the plants in the dark with a flashlight or phone light, the way the light bounces off the frosting of trichomes, as if someone had sneaked in the middle of the night and misted my plants with a million tiny diamonds. I think I will stop feeding the middle plant now and water only (unless it gets worse). The other two I will continue to feed until the end of this week. At the rate of accelerated change I suspect harvest time may not be too long past the end of next week. It's a shame they don't have much more time to grow but at least what small quantity does come from them, I am determined it is harvested at the right time. At the end of week six I have watered only as I now think these plants are maybe 7-12 days away from harvest.

1st of November, HARVEST, D91 So, after the 24 hours of darkness, she is now beautiful and ready. After chopping her, I hung her for some hours – I had some stuff to do – and after that I did wet trimming since I find it more convenient and I don´t like to trim dry buds. I guess the best way for me would be to leave it drying for some days, do the trimming, then leave it drying some more, but, I sincerely don´t have patience lol. When I was in the last stock to trim (which was the main btw) the top bud looked strange to me so I opened it and it was starting to rot.. I got really sad but what can I do except for trying to save it, right? So I took all the rotten parts out of the top bud and tore it to pieces to watch it closely and keep it from getting any more mold. D94 Today I weighed the half part of the top bud that was already dry and it remained without any mold: 3.6 grams. D97 Everything is dry and now curing, the total weight is 68.6, 65 of the whole plant and 3.6 of what I saved from the rotten bud. I´m really happy with the results, the buds aren´t much dense but they look beautiful. D111 Today is the 14th day of curing. D120 Today I´ll be doing the smoke report, it´s been curing for 3 weeks and the smells is quite good already, I know it can be better but the taste is good already so I´ll be doing it today. Vege lights - Mars Hydro FC-4800 Flower Lights - 650w 3400K 1900umol/s PAR, (3) 226w DIY 2900K 630umol/s PAR (678w and 1890umol/s), Substrate - 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite in 5-gallon pots Climate Control - Luckily, the lights, winter and normal furnace use all equate to a decent temperature, though a bit on colder side in in vege phase, sadly. Humidifier is needed early and later a dehumidifier is needed when canopy develops. I only grow in the winter months. Irrigation - do not use the emitters in this diary. They suck a big fat dick to skip a line to suck a bigger dick. They come in different shapes, too. Basic process The little light takes care of seedlings in 2.5" wide seedling pots until first up-pot. The 1-gallon pots fit well under the FC4800 in a 4x4 tent until day 21 after sprout. I plant 150% or more of what i need, so i can kill the weak without concern. The goal is for every plant that makes it to the 5-gallon up-pot being capable of producing a minimum of 160 grams with a maximum of a 35-40 day vegetative phase. Third up-pot is into 5-gallon nursery pots and now under the 3 DIY lights and the 650W light in the big tent for a couple more weeks of vege. An irrigation system in the big tent saves a lot of time. One scrog for training and another for support, just in case. Reverting back to a more systematic approach to canopy composition moving forward. About 2.3 colas per sq ft and 8 primary colas per plant. Yields were similar when over-crowding and being less systematic, but the proportion of less dense nugs is greater and trim time is needlessly elevated because of that fact. I was very controlling about this the first couple years but got away from it for far too long at this point. Drying / Curing - Into mesh racks for 9 days. I wet trim and cut down to similarly sized buds for even drying. Temps are controlled around 68F and RH is set to 60%. Then into some 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids and (3) 2-way 67g boveda humidipaks (58% or 62%) in each bucket - 1 at bottom, 2 at top. Temp/RH probe confirms that they hold the RH steady at 60-63%. Cost - 0.33 cents (USD) per gram produced. This includes an accelerated depreciation expense for all equipment used, fertilizer, water, electricity for all equipment used, new filters and other yearly purchases - bti, ph strips, sticky traps, etc. I'm a finance guy, so these numbers are comprehensively accurate and purposely err slightly on high side of cost. The only facet not included is the cost of my labor.

I did not log all the weight, cuz my “wine cellar” run out of place , so a lot I just tossed in a big bucket for later hash. All the larf is not weighted, next grow i will do larf mitigation and proper lightning for each plant. For now I got a lot of larf, but I also see that some of my plants got great nugs even under low light exposure. Purple lemonade is less in big density In comparison to Tangie Matic. As well as not purple appeared, even though it is claimed to be genetically stable. Maybe wrong seeds ? Doubt it. But the lemon terps are present. Tent size 240x240

This grow is looking phenomenal. Can’t wait to wash for rosin! Freezing as of now update: test run of bubble this shit is fucing crazy gas. So pungent and full of flavor. Tried some wet Melt in the Puffco it hits like crazy. Great effects and gas flavor. Will be pressing asap update did a 2nd wash tonight of all the trim from plant 3. I’d say 600 wet grams. Yielded great and awesome color. update: pressed 10 gram puck of rosin to test run. See results above. She’s a squirter! Update: I’m officially done wash all of this plant. Good fuckin riddance in the best way. Ugh I’m just pooped hands are killin me. Over 3 batches the yeild is insane: the coloring in the first hash batch has such an orange/ yellow tint compared to the pale merky other 2 batches. Anywho ids say 35 grams total in hash. We will have to see the total numbers but to say I yielded 10 grams with the smaller batch I’d say on par. Fuck I can prolly make some thumbprints with the 2 different hues make it fancy. Great time for it being cold! Update: I am done officially washing this strain. 4 batches I’m going to estimate 50 grams of fresh frozen dried hash out.

Had an unexpected 50 mph thunderstorm strike last Tuesday. It broke one Sour Strawberry plant in half. The RuntzLayerCake was bent over thirty degrees. Many limbs broken and bent on the plants. I had to duct tape several main stems as you’ll see in the video. The four caged plants proved stability for the others. Second grow. Lesson learned.
