😻Week 4 is here already!! These are some CHUNKY girls lol.. There's certainly no lack of red spectrum with the SP-3000..our nodes are tight and the Bangers are praying around the clock since increasing their bloom supplements..no complaints to report is a great week, we were going to drop the Mars a few inches but figured we'd leave well enough alone, without a reliable light tester we have to read the plants and they couldn't seem happier atm..we're keeping their undercarriage bare so despite being packed in the tent, airflow seems great..not much else to report, awesome light, awesome genetics makes awesome week lol..thanks for dropping by and happy harvests Growmies! ❤️🌱💡😽💨

Que pasa familia, vamos con la segunda semana de floración de estas Green Gelato feminizadas de RoyalQueenSeeds.
Vamos al lío ,se trasplantaron en macetas de 7 litros definitivamente.
El ph se controla en 6.0 , la temperatura la tenemos entre 24/20 grados y la humedad ronda el 50%.
El ciclo de floración puse 12h de luz, el foco está al 50% de potencia.
De momento van creciendo a buen ritmo y tienen un buen color, estaban muy bien enraizadas al realizarle el trasplante se notaba la abundancia radicular.

This week saw a few snags. Both gorilla zkittlez girls are showing what looks like a Mg def i.e yellowing between veins and green veins themselves. This isn't the first time they've exhibited these symptoms. Currently the heaviest affected leaves are the lowest fan leaves farthest from the light. Aiming to keep it that way. I think it's pH swinging too low. I need to pay more attention to my feeds but sometimes I don't have the time to pH my water as properly as I should.
The reason I say it's that and not a deficiency is because they are also showing signs of over feed (yellow leaf tips) only a one half-strength feed did this. There must be plenty of food left in the pot.
I'm thinking the flip is gonna come at the end of the week. I'll clean up some lower foliage tomorrow or Sunday and let them grow the rest of the week. 10 weeks seems like a nice round number to me.

This week I decided to introduce nutrition. I am new to this so i went for organic (from what I've read) bio bizz and is also readily available at my local grow shop thankfully haha my first run so I halved the recommended amounts more or less as I didn't was to burn the plants as they are still young.

D53 - It's been a few days since my last entry, but I had the opportunity to spend a long weekend in Amsterdam, and who can say no to that?
It's a mission to hook up the automatic drip irrigation for only a few days of travel, so I watered the girls thoroughly before leaving.
Sure, they were thirsty when I came back but weren't drooping.
The trichomes still show a bunch of clear, so chop day is still a bit off.
The girls STINK! Or rather, they smell amazing but smell A LOT. It's that bad that I'm replacing the old carbon filter tomorrow. I was initially planning on replacing the filter after this grow, but my girlfriend starts to grumble a bit, so I better get to it...
D56 - We're at the end of the eighth week of flower, and it is all a waiting game. I still see many clear trichomes, so that it will be another week or two before the chop.
I'm a bit concerned, though, as we have had a lot of rain lately, and the general humidity is relatively high. This increases the humidity in the tent as well, and it is currently in the low 60s even though I have a small dehumidifier running. That is high this late in flower, and I'm worried about botrytis.

Ooooh boy, what an eventful beginning to week 14!
I took this beast out of the tent for a reservoir change and noticed that she had a few branches hanging below the canopy in the middle of the plant that had a lot of heat damage. 😩
So that haircut she needed turned into a bit of an amputation... I've never dealt with heat damage before, so I don't know what it does to the quality of the bud, but what I DID know was that if I didn't change something, it certainly wasn't going to get any better.
I removed 90% of the heat damaged branches, leaving only the branches that had mild damage to the leaves only. Looking at her, she doesn't look like she's missing much of anything, but what she gained was some more space to breathe and to feel the breeze. 😊
If anyone has dealt with heat damage in the past, I'd love to know what you did about it. Did you keep the buds? Ditch em? Are they safe to smoke? Do you think I did the right thing?
Every grow throws me so much more to learn about and so many more opportunities for hands on experience dealing with things that I've only ever read about. It's the freaking tits! ✌️💜🌱

She was extremly fast and ready to harvest after 55 days of flowering.

So the result at the end as far as i can remember. Was 280g dry!! I dont know why i cannot chose dry weight, i dont weigh my plants wet. Let the plant hang for around 12 days. Middle plant was like 80 or smt, the both other plants were like 100. Due to the regulations of the state i grow in, i did in fact throw away everything past the allowed amount! What a shame but gotta do what we gotta do.

Ok so this week went very smoothly, these girls have had their first taste of LST and it went well this week but let me tell you I'm writing this 1 week behind and last 3 days lst wasn't as easy as it should be.....
Anyway back to this week. They have had their first taste of nutrients and they loved it ... here's to hoping they carry on being so easy although due to my spoiler you know this isn't the case....

After consulting with a few others working with this strain I have seen that they can have quite a stretch and given the time frame with my other project the time is here to switch to flower. So this is day one and when these photos were taken they had just woken up.

🇺🇸Grow Journal🇺🇸– Week 5 – Mother Gorilla (Royal Queen Seeds)
Week 5 Summary
This week didn’t go as planned. I switched nutrients, and the plant didn’t respond well, possibly due to overfeeding. I probably should have transitioned more gradually to avoid stressing it.
Nutrient Issue
• Previously used: Formulex
• New nutrient: Ionic Hydro Grow
• Possible cause: Ionic Hydro Grow has a higher concentration of nutrients than Formulex. The sudden increase may have stressed the plant.
• Symptoms: The new leaves are showing signs of damage, which could indicate nutrient burn. Typically, deficiencies affect older leaves first, so it seems more like an excess—but I can’t say for sure.
Corrective Actions
• Diluted the nutrient solution to lower the EC.
• Initial EC: 2.6+ (but my tap water already has a high EC, so the actual nutrient EC is hard to determine).
• New EC: Below 2, but again, since my starting EC is high (around 0.8-0.9), it’s difficult to get an exact reading of the nutrient contribution.
• pH adjusted to 5.9-6.0.
Current Conditions
• Light schedule: 18 hours
• Humidity: 70%
• pH: 5.9-6.0
• EC: Below 2 (but actual nutrient EC remains uncertain).
Next Steps
• Observe the plant and see if it recovers.
• Adjust the next nutrient mix carefully to avoid overfeeding.
• Continue light training (LST), but growth has slowed due to stress.
Hopefully, the plant will bounce back. I’ll reassess next week and adjust accordingly.

Cette semaine ne s’est pas passée comme prévu. J’ai changé de nutriments et la plante a mal réagi, probablement à cause d’un surdosage. J’aurais sans doute dû faire une transition plus progressive pour éviter un stress trop brutal.
Problème de nutriments
• Nutriment précédent : Formulex
• Nouveau nutriment : Ionic Hydro Grow
• Cause probable : Le Ionic Hydro Grow est plus concentré que le Formulex. L’augmentation soudaine des apports a pu créer un stress.
• Symptômes : Les nouvelles feuilles présentent des signes de brûlures ou de stress. Comme les carences touchent généralement d’abord les vieilles feuilles, il est possible que ce soit un excès. Mais je reste prudent sur cette analyse.
Corrections apportées
• Dilution de la solution nutritive pour faire baisser l’EC.
• EC initiale : Supérieure à 2,6 (mais mon eau du robinet a déjà une EC élevée, ce qui fausse un peu la lecture de l’apport réel en nutriments).
• Nouvelle EC : Inférieure à 2, mais encore une fois, avec une eau du robinet à 0,8-0,9 EC, il est difficile de déterminer précisément l’apport réel des nutriments.
• pH ajusté à 5,9-6,0.
Conditions actuelles
• Cycle lumineux : 18 heures

• EC : Inférieure à 2 (mais difficile à interpréter précisément).
Prochaines étapes
• Observer la plante pour voir comment elle évolue.
• Ajuster la prochaine solution nutritive avec plus de prudence.
• Continuer le palissage, même si la croissance a ralenti à cause du stress.
J’espère que la plante va se remettre. Je referai un point la semaine prochaine pour voir comment elle réagit et ajuster en conséquence.
