21.07.2025 Defoliation, Lollypopping, and LST/HST.

The first picture is from last week and the videos are from today. It's been 56 days in veg so far. I was going to switch to flowering next week but decided to hold off and let it spend more time in recovery. To keep the branches down I used a wire clothes hanger and paper clips.

"Hi, I received my pH meter this week, so from week 6 onwards, I'm aiming for a pH value of 6.0 - 6.5. This week, I noticed that the plant in the small pot received too much fertilizer. The other two 7.5-liter fabric pots also received double the recommended amount according to the feeding schedule, but they don't show any signs of over-fertilization."

This was the untopped gorilla cookies not positive that topping made much difference this time but then again who knows still 480g wet weight is good for me has a very pine and cookies smell very sticky can’t wait to try all these fat bud strains will update dry weights I due time thanks for viewing and onto the next

Defoliated some leaves to let light in, chopped one down early as I run out of bud 🙄 it's good for less than 4 weeks flowering. Have them rice water starch again this week in with there food. A layer of frost is slowly forming 😎 hopefully they will fatten up nice and frost up really good to 🤞

Another week in Fat Yappa's Garden comes to an end with all the plants still doing well. The Bruce Banner which I snapped the stem just above the second node from the top is pretty much ready for the chop, the other two more mature plants are not too far behind, a week at most, and the Bruce Banner runt has pretty much caught up with her slightly older sisters. The Wedding Cheesecake growing in Canna Coco, which still towers above everything else in the tent at pretty much the same height as the lights, despite her tallest being bent over by LST has developed quite a lot of bud sites but not nearly as chunky as the Bruce Banners, and has started to fade with yellows and purples in the leaves and pistons. Her sister, growing in living soil is probably the furthest behind in the grow but seems to be developing a bit more like the Bruce Banners, and I put this down to the pot of the Coco Coir I used being round and much narrower than the other five, square Viviosun smart pots I used which was a bit of a fail for the LST, especially when combined with the rapid rate this plant took of at, where as I think the other was perhaps stunted a bit by being germinated in a coco coir pellet then placed in soil. I think I will try a peat pellet next time I grow in living soil and see if that improves it. The plants have remained on there same water schedule but I have noticed the more mature plants taking much less water. The most mature plant could probably go three days on 2.5l now, where as a week or two these plants had 2.5l daily over two days and then began to slow down again. I have kept the PH between 6.5 and 6.8 as I read its better for flowering to aim for the higher end of the range, especially when growing with dry amendments. Day 66 saw another compost tea, the same recipe as previously but this time I increased the bat guano from 1 to 2 tablespoons. Other than that I have continued to defoliate once a week, opening up light to the canopy and tried to open it up with a tightening of the LST ties. Stress in regard to the different stages of plant development increase as Harvest nears, as I was previously envisaging me drying in the tent and cutting the plants in a oner, but I have order a ThermPro TP50, and the rest is next weeks problem. Week 9 has officially started, and she's entering the final phase with some real beauty. Buds are swelling up across the canopy with a thick layer of frost and lots of white pistils still pushing. Trichomes are now clearly visible under magnification with early signs of cloudiness, but no amber yet. The lower fan leaves have started to fade naturally, and I’m starting to see hints of purple coming through on some of the sugar leaves and bracts. I gave her a full-strength compost tea at the end of Week 8 and topped off the auto-watering base to keep her coasting. Temps have been high due to a heat wave, spiking around 88°F, but airflow and moisture have been stable thanks to the dual fan setup and bottom watering. I also added DE to the topsoil to knock back a few gnats and placed sticky traps nearby. No training this week so far, just light tucking and one small defoliation session in the center of the canopy to improve airflow. She's healthy, sticky, and starting to ripen — right on track for harvest in the next couple of weeks.

Day 50, 29.05.2024 - Starting the week at 43cm height - No action today but to render timelapse for last week & watch them bloom. Day 51, 30.05.2024 - 600ml with nutrition (1ml grow, 3ml bloom, 4ml TopMax) for each as breakfast shortly after the lights turned on - removed 4 more leaves there were yellow. I think it has to do with the recent cut down on nutritions. This is why I will get back to the recommended fertilizer schedule in 48h with the next feeding. Day 52, 31.05.2024 No action today. Day 53, 01.06.2024 A round of drinks (600ml each) and food (4/4/4ml of grow, bloom & TopMax). Day 54, 01.06.2024 No action today. Day 55, 03.06.2024 - I am observing some more leafs getting yellow. I guess the plant is recovering N from the lower leaves to feed the buds. - Later today they will get their next feeding (600ml each, - again with 4/4/4ml of Grow, Bloom & TopMax) Day 56, 04.06.2024 "No action today" concludes week 8. All in all until today the grow is quite easy. No big issues. I just hope the yellowing of leafs will stop / revert after resuming to the standard nutrition schedule. So, I guess there are 3 weeks to go before harvest - let's keep em dry!

Things are going really well for this lady. She has continued to produce copious amounts of tricombes and the smell is just unbelievable. I've had to source some air fresheners to hang around the garden to try and mask it. I've removed a few of the new growth at the bottom of the main stem a some they are only going to suck energy that can be better used.

Heads have fattened up nicely. So many pistil’s on this grow.

My first ever harvest went great! I trimmed 3 different ways as well as flushed for different amounts of time. 24hr flush and wet trim with bowl trimmer, dried on dry rack. Aprox 4 ounces as i was smoking it soon as it dried, small buds first. 🤷‍♂️🏻 3 day flush. Wet trimmed by hand. Hung to dry. 119 grams Last two ladies were the bushy ones. I let them flush for a full week and then hung to dry. We hand trimmed them both(not as close of trim) to make edibles and oils with. 412 grams! I think I did pretty well on my harvest. I have over a pound of bud! I’m all smiles!

Día 73 desde su nacimiento y ya se ha dejado de abonar hace un par de días para obtener resultados más limpios de residuos. El progreso está a la vista, flores muy densas que estaban doblando todas las ramas de esta planta por lo que tuve que agarrarla para ayudarlas a soportar el peso. El nivel de tricomas es impresionante y desprende una fragancia dulce bastante agradables por toda la casa. BUENOS HUMOS! 👽

Light hitting with around 1000 PPFD She is looking beautiful! Smell is getting realy intense. Plant training did its job - many same size Buds with same quality. One of my favourite grows so far!

Empezamos la semana cambiando los nutrientes al observar ya unos pequeños pistilos o estigmas , en definitiva, empezaron a mostrar tímidamente el sexo. Empiezo con poco y iré subiendo la dosis hasta 4ml/L hasta que vuelva a cambiar de nutrientes. Creo observar del Lumatek ATSpro que le fataria un punto de luz en el centro del panel. Por lo general con otras luminarias la planta del medio me solia crecer mucho mejor y esta vez está quedando retrasada. Seguiré cultivando y si me sigue pasando lo mismo entonces no tendré ninguna duda, por ahora solo son conjeturas, xd De lo anterior rectifico , tengo que decir que pasados dos dias lo estoy viendo diferente, la del medio parece que sigue por buen camino, ahora apenas notaria la diferencia. La semana anterior, la sexta, se les hizo una segunda pulverización con dosis alta de 3ml/L con spiderbloom ( "fitofortificante de impacto muy rápido") pero de nada sirvió, durante esta semana subió la temperatura a 30ºC un par de dias y las arañas salieron a pegarse el gran festín. Una vez constatada la existencia de araña roja correteando por el envés de las hojas solo toca desinfectar bién el armario, lavarlas a todas una a una con agua corriente para arrastrar el máximo de arañitas y una vez secas darles con algun acaricida químico. De no hacerlo ahora me seria imposible más adelante y no tengo ningunas ganas de dejar perder este cultivo. No soy partidario de lo químico pero menos de dejarlas perder.
