The Permanent Markers are finally taking off! They've at least doubled in height since last week. Of course, they're still really small, but it's cool to see them finally getting going. They look healthy and are developing nicely. Well, another year has come and gone. Yesterday was New Year's Eve, and I want to wish all of you a happy and healthy 2025. After 10 weeks and 5 Days these beautiful plants are ready to harvest

Heeey guys! A rather fast update this time, right? I was always 1 week late with the updates but decided to speed things up a little this time! 😋 And now, to summarize this week I'd say it was fun! 😃 While I was still unsure if I wanted to go for 8 colas or just stick with 4 (I wasn't 100% sure last week! I'm a very indecisive person!) and after taking into consideration all the pros/cons and my own skill level I decided to just stick to 4 for now. I don't want the buds to fight for light and since this is my first time doing main-lining I'm sure I might end screwing things up with 8 colas. 😗 Besides what I mentioned earlier I did a lot of trimming (had to cut the remaining branches and extra foliage!) and gave a friend some cuttings of my babies! (after all I had 8 spare ones from each plant!) I also went for a more aggressive with LST since I know I'll need more space between each in the future colas! 💪 I also moved Boomer to a new container, she was getting somewhat crowded in such a small space! (I'm so impressed she's growing so well right now!) 😍 You'll once again see two time lapses showing how my plants were growing, I hope you all will enjoy them! 😉 Probably I'll stick for one or two more weeks in veg (I want the plants to grow a bit more before going into flower) but so far most of the work is done. This week I was wondering why the tops looked funny but it looks burned so I chopped the top cola off the afgan kush. It was too crispy and all the holes from the dead pistils made me think it Hermed and those were all seeds. Found some little white maybe beginning of seeds but not sure because it wasn’t many. I tried snipping a sugar leaf a few weeks back and accidentally snipped the bud a little so I might have caused that bud to stress. I’m almost done so I’m just hoping the others in the tent don’t get affected if it pollinated itself at all. I might chop the top of the zkittlez off too and let the bottoms finish off for a week or two longer when I drop the lights down some. For no I just tied the big cola to the side. I need to get a par reader and get on my Ppm meter too because so far I’ve grown 3 plants without those and just guessing based on the packaging lol. I feel like it’s been relatively smooth for the circumstances tho and happy that I could at least smoke all of them so far.

This week had some exciting moments. I defoiled about 1-2 days after my last post. As you can see that growth came back within a week. They are officially so bushy, they are getting in their own way. I will defoilate them this weekend, and post a picture after that. I also had added some potassium silicate, and it caused a brown algae bloom :| So I ran H202 thru the system, and upped the amount of Enzyme Komplete i was using. This squared it away real quick, it did a great job of clearing it all out. Since this is my 2nd time growing this strain (1st was in soil, and had environmental issues, but did grow) this is where they were about 4-6 weeks before harvest in soil. They have the same coloring and puffy-ness to the buds. They also started with a heavy frosting on the sugar leaves that spread all over the plant. So if I was to guess, i would venture they are 4-5 weeks from harvest. The control plant is about 3-4 (maybe a touch less). These plants are still drinking like crazy, and its becoming expensive feeding them Emerald Harvest every 2-3 days >:|

Day 29 - Topped both ladies at the fifth node and removed any growth below. Growth exploded since transplant and first dose of nutrients. Day 30 - Watered both ladies with around 100ml of water. They recovered from the topping and look as healthy as can be. Very happy with progress. Day 32 - Misted both ladies. Day 33 - Watered both ladies with around 250ml each. Increased dosage slightly from last feed to see how they take it. Day 35 - Misted both ladies to keep them hydrated. Maria is doing well, showing vigorous growth. Planning to top her again next week and remove any growth below the topped nodes. Juanita has fallen behind, new growth points seem to be growing sideways. Keeping an eye on her progress, hopefully she turns out ok. Not planning to top her again until normal growth resumes, do not want to stress her out.

Week four of the bonsai mother project. This was the week I targetted to begin removing the sheath and exposing the roots. I plan to begin that process in the coming days. Day 23 - Photographed. I've been watering this girl tap water only, at the moment she has enough nutes in the medium, however I expect this to soon change. Her roots have protruded out of the bottom of the lower pot, as you can see from the video. Day 26 - Removed the sheath and revealed the roots and object they are growing over. Well week 3 is here nothing but good growth so far just fed her the remaining quart from the last solution mix and I must say she is loving it. Come Monday I will raise her dose and mix in some grow big. I also started some LST, those bottom tops are receiving so much light penetration now. I had fun with this barneys gorilla zkittlez, although it seems like it was ready around 7 weeks, its as if the plant has been in the early stages of self seeding when I've harvested on day 54~ of flower.. Can't think any other reason why this would've happened Anyway overall the bud is 95% amazing, just a slight sadness at the miniscule seeds forming close to the stems in the centre of some buds that takes away from the taste a little
