Trichomes: The Frosty Frontier This week, the focus is all about those frosty beauties! • Trichomes are the key indicators of ripeness and cannabinoid production. Watching their progression from clear to cloudy to amber provides the ultimate insight into maturity. • Currently, we’re seeing a fantastic mix of cloudy trichomes with some clear still hanging around – a perfect sign that they’re gearing up for their final push. • Fun fact: Trichomes serve as the plant’s natural defense mechanism, protecting it from UV rays and pests while being our treasure trove for cannabinoids and terpenes. Spectrum Tuning: The Science of Light Light plays a major role in shaping the maturation process, and this week, we’ve dialed in the spectrum for optimal results. Here’s the breakdown: • Whites: Running at 77% to maintain robust overall growth and trichome density. • Deep Reds, Far Reds, and UV: Maxed out at 100% to mimic the end-of-season spectrum, signaling the plants to finish strong. • Deep Reds: Enhance photosynthesis efficiency through the Emerson effect. • Far Reds: Promote stretch and flowering hormone production. • UV: Stimulates trichome production for an extra boost of frost! We’ve also added a timing twist: • Reds & UV start 15 minutes before whites to simulate sunrise. • Reds & UV finish 15 minutes after whites to mimic sunset, creating a more natural light transition. These subtle timing tricks help reduce stress while optimizing light absorption, ensuring every photon counts! 🌞 Environmental Conditions: Precision is Key Here are the dialed-in parameters for the week: • Temps: 26.3°C • RH: 70.1% • CO2: 800 ppm • VPD: 1.03 kPa With these numbers, the ladies are thriving in their sweet spot, absorbing nutrients efficiently while maximizing trichome development. Lighting Power: • Lower layer at 800 PPFD and the upper layer shining bright at 1500 PPFD. The canopy coverage is perfect for even development throughout the garden. Everything is looking good. Continuing to water as usual. The Tropical Cooler had high PPM of nutrients so I flushed it. Other than that just checking the trichomes to see when I want to harvest. (4.2) Smell update Blueberry Swirl has a deep lemon smell, Fat Banana has a buttery lemon scent. Tropical Cooler still smells like a fruit salad that description is dead on! Lemon Haze x Gary Payton has a fruity smell with a lemony undertone. ( 4.4) Flushed all plants to about 250ppms (Parts Per Million) plan on harvesting soon. Have never flushed before bud smoke has been harsh previously so I’m giving it a try.

I did a 5 day flush and 5 days of 24 hour light before harvest. Dried for 16 days with 60% humidity

My LIT Marker plant is thriving, and it's interesting to see the similar leaf structure to the Black Valentine I grew from LIT Farms. I gave it a dose of calcium this week, hoping it will help green up the leaves and keep it healthy. It's been a challenging week with the constant rain and ridiculously high humidity. Keeping things dry indoors has been a real struggle. Despite the weather, I managed to flip all my feminized photoperiod plants to flower this week. I'm hoping the switch will go smoothly, but with this humidity, it's going to be tough.

Day 16-27/12/21 doing well!!! Day 20-31/12/21 plant is looking good!!!! Waiting to move half of them to another tent!!!!

Gave the girls banana tea that sat for 28 hours and they seemed to love it. Will do another in a few days. They look very healthy and beautiful 💖

She continues to put on weight. It has been a hot week here in Northern California but I don't think its gotten over 80 F in the tent. She is looking great to me and I am looking forward to seeing some amber so I know its time to harvest.

Fastest-developing plant I've seen to date. She's a bit leggy, but for I've seen plants take a month or more to reach this height and leaf development. Having a 12/12 schedule 600W sodium lamp is helping, and the increasing temperatures as we head into spring. No sign of root reaching beyond the (large) rockwool cube, but that's normal. Sometimes it takes several months for them to properly get going in these cold climes.

Plants took a tumble while I was at work and came home to everything laying on the ground like a robbery. I also learned that my plants wasn't burning but in fact when the tree hit the deck the 33C heat and the roof torched the leaves. The vertical growth is slowing as it only grew 4" in the week so far, next summer hopefully I will use 20 gallons and not 12. Just solid knowledge for next year as I wanted all 3 tree to hit around 6ft after the stretch and all the training. Lost a few main branches on this plant so idk how realistic 1.5lbs is at this point

END of blooming week 10. I'm very happy with this week. I stabilized the buds, good light / bud penetration. Plants looking more green. Slight leaf burns. Nova OG in the middle, got some big burns at the top. This week i also had every close look at the plants, I still want to give them ~1-3 weeks to finish. Black Jesus OG looking ready, but i need to harvest all at once. And i see many buds still growing. For know i stop feeding. I usually do 2 weeks flush. We will see how it turns out.

9-3 Good growth from both. Little light stress, bumped up. 9-6 Watered yesterday around 500 ml with HP Connect. Mixed 3 liters with 1/2 tsp. All plants got 500ml. Great growth from both. ️🤘

This is week 4 we are about to flip them to flower. 8 strains being test grown new strains.

Unfortunately, one of the two seedlings succumbed to the intense sunlight exposure of a single day and exhibited classic signs of stress and stem damage, succumbing within the first week. With only one seedling remaining, I decided to proceed by faithfully following the established nutrient schedule. Here are the nutrients administered: May 8th: 250ml of water 0.5ml of RootJuice 0.5ml of BioHeaven 0.5ml of Activera EC: 450 nS pH: 6.5 May 10th: 350ml of water 1ml of RootJuice 1ml of FishMix 1ml of BioHeaven 1ml of Activera EC: 850 nS pH: 6.5

I started with three Blackberry Moon Rock seeds, and two of them sprouted – awesome! These girls are loving life, reaching for the sky as the tallest plants in my tent. They're already about six inches tall, and they're taking up all the nutrients very well without any nute burn. Both blackberry moonrocks plants are very similar height although they have very different looks to them. The one of the 2 definitely going ti strech alot more than the other. One has internodes about 1 cm apart rn and the other is about 3/4 to 1 inch between nodes. Happy late turkey day grow diaries world!!!! It's now day 24 from seed for all the seedlings I have going. The past few days the plants have really started to take off. There roots have really started to dig in. Every other water I am still giving 2ml per gal of fox farm grow big. I keep having to tell myself not to add any more nutes other than that. I don't want to fry my plants but I also want they to start jumping. I'm quite excited for the coming week, I think the next 7 days or so is when the plant really starts to transform and look more like a pot plant than just some random little green thing. A few days ago I decided to move the plants from under my 55w cheep amazon light to under my spider farmer 100w newer version light with the good leds in it. The plants will hopefully be ready to up pot them here soon and get them in the large tent. Sometimes when growing multiple different strains it can be really hard to balance giving to much or to little light. You don't want the faster growing plants to get to stretched out waiting on the slower plants to catch up I spend Thanksgiving day morning transplanting the plants into 2gal pots. I am useing spme promix potting soil it's my 1st time tring this soil. It is actually doing really well the roots were all white and nice looking. I think next time I'm going to add some worm casting, kelp, granular mycos, and a little bit extra perlite. I just didn't have the money with christmas coming to splurge for all the extra stuff. I got rid of 2 plants 1 of the bubble og and 1 skunk apple runtz. There is only room for 10 pots in the 2x4 tent. I will peob only bring 8 of them to flower, always good to have back ups. Yesterday I also stuck the plants back under the 500w medicgrow mini sun 2 in my 2x4 tent. They did great under it the 2nd half the day I was happy they didn't get stressed. I had put them under that light a little early about 10 days ago or so. I am expecting in a week these plants will ge going crazy with growth

The cannabis plant is generally growing well and is progressing as expected during the flowering stage. Despite the positive overall growth, brown spots have appeared on some of the leaves and I dont really know what it is. While the appearance of brown spots is concerning, the overall health of the cannabis plant remains good. With careful monitoring and appropriate adjustments, the plant should continue to develop successfully. It will be exciting to see how the plant progresses as it matures, even if its growth rate is somewhat slower than expected.
