July 27: starting the second week of force flowering by providing 10 h darkness in garage plus ‘2 bonus hours’ from the 730 nm far red light. The use of the far red light is like getting a 26 hour day. So 12 h dark plus 14 h sunlight. Anyway, she is stretching a bit and clearly starting to flower. Looks good. New growth is pretty yellow so did a foliar spray of Epsom salts to give her Mg and S. July 30: great conditions the last few days and she is growing great. Mostly just pHed water lately to avoid over-doing it on the nutes. Looks healthy and happy. Aug 2: watered with some molasses and about 1 tbsp per gallon of Epsom salts (MgSO4). Still doing 10 h in dark garage and using the 730 nm far red light to get an extra 2 h in dark mode.

Mr Pipi loves seeing Frost. Starts to get shiny in the building. Smell was always like a fruity Whick Vaporub, but now the Menthol/Minty is not the most present and it gets more floral (kind of).

The Mold Incident: A Teachable Moment This week brought a challenge—a few buds succumbed to bud rot (Botrytis), particularly on the Papaya Zoap and a single bud from the Gorilla Melon. While disheartening, it’s a reminder that mold can occur even in the most well-maintained gardens, especially with dense colas and a full canopy. After a thorough inspection, all affected buds were removed and discarded to prevent the spread. A quick note to all growers: defoliation plays a massive role in airflow and prevention of such issues. This is why mid-flower defoliation is a game-changer, and I’m grateful it kept the rest of the garden healthy! Papaya Zoap’s Unique Quirks The Papaya Zoap continues to be a star of the show with its frosty buds and… albino tips! These tiny white tips are likely from being too close to the lights. While it’s a cosmetic detail that doesn’t affect quality, it’s a fascinating display of how genetics and environment interact. A Frost-Filled Wonderland The room is absolutely glistening with frost. Hey guys! This week my pheno #1 was harvested after 12 days of flush. I forgot to mention that I've been flushing her before the others because she matured her trichomes earlier. She also started to flower a little more than a week before so I was expecting it. :) It was a good run for her I think, ended up with some dense buds that are drying in my dyi dry box, because I still have two other plants running in the tent. My house smells good 👍 I thought about doing the flush in the other two like I said last week, but watching their trichomes development I gave them one more week of feeding, because I think they still have some bulking to do. About the harvest of #1: I've ended up with 334g wet weight, and I will share all the photos and data in the harvest week with all together. Some of the buds are so frosty and they have like small resin balls that dripped from some parts! I've never seen this before in any grow of mine, but I've seen this at another diary here from the same strain. What a pleasant surprise! Have you all a great week, Felix ✌️

(UPDATE- Apple Strudel got the chop on Day 72) Week 10 starts on Thursday so I'm jumping the gun by a couple of days in terms of uploading as I'm going away. Things are coming along nicely with the Apple Strudel, I can just smell sweet creamy scent with a bit of apple and funnily enough it smells a bit like the old cheese strain from about 20 years ago, very unique, I like it .😁👌🏻 Some purple colours are starting to show too, trichomes are 80/20 cloudy/clear. I'm going to give her another week then she's getting the chop. Will update further once harvested and dried. Nel fine settimana farò l ultima pulizia approfondita dei rami più bassi, che non avranno possibilità di produrre buone cime, e defoglierò in maniera copiosa.
