Week 16 (6/6/22 - 6/12/22) - FLOWER Week 2 Ladies respoded well to last weeks trellising and defoliating.

Vertical growth has settled in buds are starting to stack up. No deficiencies to report. Frost is building.

Oct 19: warm October continues and this plant will be harvested in a few days. Three days with snow starting 3 days from now so that’s it for the season. Drilled a couple of holes in the trunk. Idea is to stress the plant to spur trichome production. Did this before and not entirely sure it helps, but why not? Oct 20: these buds are getting stinkier and frostier just in time for the season here to end. Smell was quite noticeable this morning so I’ve bumped it up to Strong. All the buds are looking fairly frosty too so this Gelato is finishing strong. 👍👍 Oct 21: harvest day because in two days, Monday, it will be below zero all day and likely snow. Oh well, a longer than expected season allowed this gelato to finish fairly well. Trichomes are still white, and actually I rarely see amber trikes on my plants and I think that’s due the weak sunlight here in the fall. My best option here is to aim to harvest by the end of September. This plant was not billed as being fast flowering so I expected it to be a bit slow, plus it is a sativa pheno, so I feel lucky that it has finished as well as it did. The weather here was definitely good for cannabis this year with the only real hassle being wildfire smoke.

Should probably start my 2 week flush at the end of this week but I want to harvest this plant and my other one(which is 2.5 weeks behind) at the same time so I'm probably going to try and push the feeding another 2 weeks until I start the final flush, trying to have this stay in flower for 10 weeks, the breeder says flowering period takes 8-10 weeks so I think I'll still be just fine. This week went well, the plants are slowly starting to fade and colors are starting to come out. Gonna follow through with my original plan and continue feeding lightly for the next week or two until I start the final flush. I also raised the lights a bit this week mainly to help and give more light to my second plant that stretched so much its main cola is hitting the grow light, and also to help prevent any foxtailing from occurring.

Ende Woche 7 – Anfang Woche 8 | Grow Diary Mimosa x 🍊 👊🏻 von Barney’s Farm Der Grow neigt sich langsam aber sicher dem Ende entgegen und man merkt jetzt richtig, dass die Ladies ihre letzten Kräfte in die Buds stecken. Die Blätter werden mittlerweile immer gelber, was für diese Phase absolut normal ist, da die Pflanzen anfangen ihre Reserven aufzubrauchen. Deshalb werde ich diese Woche den Dünger Schritt für Schritt herunterfahren, bevor es dann in der letzten Woche nur noch Wasser geben wird. Noch ungefähr zwei Wochen bis zur Ernte – die Spannung steigt langsam. Ab jetzt werden natürlich täglich die Trichome kontrolliert, damit der perfekte Erntezeitpunkt nicht verpasst wird. Die Buds legen aktuell trotzdem noch ordentlich an Dichte zu und wirken von Tag zu Tag kompakter. Der Geruch wird ebenfalls immer intensiver und die Mimosa x Orange Punch zeigt jetzt nochmal richtig, was in ihr steckt. Bin gespannt, wie die letzten Tage noch laufen werden. So this was my First Grow ! I am happy with the results- yes it didn’t yield alot only 40grams (1 plant). The buds arent so dense maybe cause of the strain or maybe the light - the overall color of the flowers is very stunning. The purple hue is simply special and unique. During the grow the temperature was getting too high sometimes reaching 30 celcius :/ this could be the result that affected the yield - in this grow I didn’t gave the plant alot of nutrients since I didn’t want to over feed and ruin my first grow. Also during drying I decided to switch on my dehumidifier and caused the temperature in my room to increase around 27 celcius and humidity down to 45% ( yes its alot ). And so it caused the buds to dry quickly ( yes its bad ) another step i Did is Curing , there is a picture of the jar. I am keeping the humidity in the jar around 55% to 65% keeping it in a dark place. And so Yes - For sure there is room for improvement. Overall i enjoyed growing this strain and definitely i will be growing it again in the future. 💜💨

Day 36 Flower (Day 78) Today is the first day of week six of flower and on this glorious day, I went to war against the fungus gnats. By war, I mean watering each girl with 5 million Nematodes in 3 liters of pH 6.5 water. That should hopefully do the trick and get rid of the annoying little shits. I also experimented a bit more with bud photography and this time I used an LED ring flash. The next step is to shoot during the dark period so I don't get any supplemental light from the grow lights. That was pretty much it today as it is mostly just coasting along at this point in the grow. Day 37 Flower (Day 79) The left girl got pampered with a new light today. Let's see if those extra photons can help her fatten up. She also got a CO2 bag to help her to soak up all those juicy photons. The right girl on the other hand just got her daily watering. Today with 3 liters at pH 6.6. Day 38 Flower (Day 80) All I did today was to give the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.5 water and started brewing some compost tea to feed tomorrow. I used a simple recipe this time with just some worm castings and molasses to increase the microbial activity, as well as a bit of neem meal for some additional nutrition but also to help against pests. The fungus gnats in the tents are almost gone. The nematodes took care of the gnat larvae and the yellow sticky traps have been catching the adults. Day 39 Flower (Day 81) Super chill day. I just gave each girl 3 liters of compost tea at pH 6.2. Done. Day 40 Flower (Day 82) I gave 3 liters of pH 6.5 water to the right girl and supported some of her branches as they're getting heavy with buds. Boom! Day 41 Flower (Day 83) Today I gave each girl 3 liters of pH 6.5 water. The gnats look to be defeated for now. I can't see any in the tents and the yellow sticky traps are empty. Day 42 Flower (Day 84) The last day of the sixth week of flower and all is going great in the tents. The heatwave we were having went away, which kind of sucks on a personal and social level, but it's great for the girls as the tents were swelteringly hot. The left girl is 103 cm tall and didn't grow anything this week. She has started to fatten up a bit now since I installed a more powerful light, but she is still lagging far behind the right girl. I'm interested to see if she is only lagging behind in time and will fatten up eventually, or if her ordeal has stunted her flowers, resulting in a bunch of larf. Time will tell. Either way, it will be a learning experience. The right girl also didn't grow vertically this week (thankfully!). Her 123 cm is tall enough to be dangerously close to the lights. She is fattening up nicely but still some time to go before she is done. I haven't checked any trichomes yet but should probably start checking next week. Today was another chill late-flower day, I just gave the left girl 2 liters of pH 6.7 water, and the right got 3 liters at pH 6.5.

So far so good! Watering with ph'd water at 6.3 to 6.5. Running a 18/6 light schedule using a 135w hlg quantum board. This little girl is growing like crazy! 😊 She'll be 3 weeks old in 4 days.

I'm quite impressed by this week's development. The girls are starting to show their fatness. I did a flush at the beginning of the week and it helped a lot. Now I'm starting to give them less and less nuts, as they show obvious tip burns. What a big coincidence that they are both polyploids(gene mutation). I'm starting to question myself if the guys from RQS are making experiments with these types of mutations to increase yield and potency???

The size of the colas on this plant is unbelievable. 8 to 10 inches long and as big around as a soda can. 20-30 days left and this dank beast is gonna be heavy!

These seeds are doing great. Very happy they both popped and Would love to see an explosion of stretching and vegetation growth. Let's hope for it this week so it can encourage the others.

So nach 66 Tagen war es genug ! Es wurde geerntet. ✂️6️⃣6️⃣ ✅ Die trichome sind zwar immer noch nicht komplett milchig, aber die Dame zwittert wieder mehr und daher kann ich mit halb trüb auch gut leben. 😁 Mit der langen Reife hat sie auch Fuchsschwänze gebildet und sie ist mir insgesamt zu blättrig...

Week 8 tomorrow, will be harvesting these very soon maybe a few more days, colas are of a good size for the short time they have been showering, next update will be harvest time, keep it green people 🌱🌴💚🙏

I transplanted into the final pot, 20 gallons. I am affording a gallon of medium per week of plant growth. This will be a 20 week grow. This has been a very relaxing grow as I don't have to see about multiple plants at once.
