February 23, 2021 (Week 7, Day 50, Flower 1): It's the first day of flower! The plants slept for 12 hours last night and will keep that up until harvest. Still seeing pretty crazy growth even for the 12 hours of darkness they went through. Grew about another .5". Excited to see how much these things stretch. Soil was very dry this morning so I watered with 4l of water per plant with 3ml/l pH Perfect Bloom + 2ml/l pH Perfect Grow + 2ml/l Sweet Raw + 1ml/l Big Bud + 1ml Cal-Mag Plus + 1/4 tsp/gal Humboldt Nutrients Big Up Flower Powder with a pH of 5.8. Runoff pH of 6.3. I will start watering with a 6.0 solution going forward. I also top dressed with about an inch of fresh Roots Organics Lush soil. Plants are looking great. Not seeing any problems currently. I'll keep a close eye on them as they transition. Turned down humidity another 5% today. Averaging 50% rH and 73℉. February 24, 2021 (Week 7, Day 51, Flower 2): Plants look great. Soil still moist from watering. Tilled half inch of topsoil. Averaging 50% rH and 73℉. Nothing else for today. February 25, 2021 (Week 7, Day 52, Flower 3): No complaints at all. These plants are as healthy as they can be from what I can tell. The growth sites are starting to do some funky stuff and everything is kind of starting to "clump" together. Really interesting to watch this process happen, as I've always wondered exactly how the buds begin to form. I was greeted with a very sweet smell when I opened my tent this morning, nothing strong yet. To encourage further vertical growth I've removed all LST ties except for two from Gelato 1 and Unknown 2. I adjusted the ties on Unknown 1 because it's already starting to stretch and I need it to slow down just a bit while the others catch up. Soil is semi-moist this morning but the pots are still pretty heavy, so I'll water in a day or two. Averaging 50% rH and 72℉. February 26, 2021 (Week 7, Day 53, Flower 4): Pots were light today so watered with 4l per plant with 3ml/l pH Perfect Bloom + 2ml/l pH Perfect Grow + 2ml/l Sweet Raw + 1ml/l Big Bud + 1ml Cal-Mag Plus at 6.0 pH. Runoff sitting at 6.4 pH. Defoliated one more node on each growth stem - the lollipop look is coming around. It will probably be my last defoliation like this. From now on I'll only pluck fan leaves that get in the way of bud sites. Unknown 1 grew over 2" in the last 24 hours. The stretch is getting real. I removed all remaining LST ties from Gelato 1 and Unknown 2. I redid the LST ties on Unknown 1 in an attempt to control its growth, but at this point I feel like it's just going to be a lanky plant and there's nothing I can do about it. I'll do my best to keep them as level as I can. Also, I took off Unknown 2's stem cast today and it healed really, really well. I have never seen a plant do this, but it filled itself in with tissue that is soft to the touch, and there's only a slight split at the top. It's looking really great. My wife noticed the smell of the plants this morning for the first time - so that's a good sign! Plants are starting to put off a lot of their own humidity, so I haven't refilled my humidifier in days. Averaging 50% rH and 72℉. Overnight it appears Gelato 1 and Unknown 2 are doing their damnedest to catch up with Unknown 1 - they both grew about 2". Plants are looking great and are definitely starting to stretch! Averaging 50% rH and 70℉. February 28, 2021 (Week 7, Day 55, Flower 6): Top soil is pretty dry, but the pots are still heavy. I'll hold off watering for a day or two. The last 24-hour period I think I saw the biggest difference in the plants so far. Each growth stem stretched a ton on each plant, but at varying degrees. The canopy is suddenly uneven, but I think trying to keep everything even at this point will be futile. I will let them go and install the SCROG net soon if the colas start growing too differently from one another. The stipules on every plant tripled in length overnight so I think the plants are definitely getting with the new 12-hour schedule. All the plants are starting to shoot off tons of pre-flowers and pistils now. They're in the swing of things now. Averaging 50% rH and 70℉. March 1, 2021 (Week 7, Day 56, Flower 7): Soil is dry but pots still have some weight. Will probably water tomorrow. Plants are looking fantastic. Canopy is stretching all over the place. Перед переводом поставил сетку, от верхушки растения до сетки было 20 см(нужно было ставить не выше 10см от верхушки растения), девочка моя выросла за неделю 19-20см, что оказалось не достаточным и мне пришлось поднять сегодня горшок на 4-5см. Так же я сегодня поставил железный хамут у основания, но я еще не стал сильно зажимать его. а так сказать подготовил для дальнейшего зажима(и за сетки мне бы было проблематично в будущем это сделать). Планирую зажать хамут где то через недели 3-4, не раньше. Яркость лампы 3500К увеличил до 75%, а 5000К до 100%, через неделю планирую убрать 5000К и поставить 200вт 3500К, и 200вт 3000К. Поливать стал каждый день, сегодня девочке моей 68 дней жизни. Everything is going great except the RQS is twice the size of the the Cherry Cola lol. Ended up setting the one plant up and raising the light some.

23.2.25: I watered with approximately 1.5 ltrs per plant. I mix 6.5ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4. This time, I only added Ecothrive Biosys to the water because I have just top dressed the soil. Adding anything extra right now would probably be overkill and result in toxicity from too many available nutrients. I defoliated minimally mostly Do-sì-dos, Watermelon, and Pink Mist. Starting Week 10, which marks the beginning of the 7th week of flowering. The buds are stacking nicely and the trichome production is ramping up. Tomorrow, I’m planning a defoliation to improve airflow and light penetration. I’ll also be tucking and organizing the canopy to keep everything tucked neatly within the 70x70 space.

Bloom 71 and flush day. I use just 10L water for that. I think thats enough :) 1-2 dark day and I can finally reap my harvest , tricoms are really fine and almost full. I think I can get the harvest date right . I hope i can get 200💪 😎👍 Bloom 75 . Soil is drying and tricoms are almost full. Colas are trying to stand right but they cant . I hope it doesnt break . Still thinking what went wrong and accelerated the flowering process. Maybe the pot was too small for this plant. Maybe she is a little root-bound. Still, the smell is amazing right now, awaiting for the trichomes to be fully cloudy looking and oxidize a little bit to harvest. No fertilizing at this stage.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. So they’re still stretching, I thought they were slowing down a couple days ago, but then I walked in today and realised shit, they’re still going, must have grown another 3 inches since yesterday. They have almost filled out the whole 6x4ft space, a little space by the door and in the corners, the floor is looking well shaded which I am happy about, as that means I am not wasting too many photons. I have an maybe another 10/15cm of spare vertical capacity before I’m going to have to start some emergency super-cropping. Starting to get a little anxious I still haven’t changed out the reservoir from 16 days ago, although my top ups have been the same composition as noted above. I think I will drain her out tomorrow which has a drastically lower ratio of nitrogen. I have to say, this Botanicare range is incredibly stable and forgiving once you get past mid veg. As for the genetics, she knows how to grow without little fuss. Maybe I have been very lucky, time will tell once I finish my next grow with a different strain. The plant at the back of the room is a little squat compared to the other two but maybe she will catch up. Waffled on a bit here, thanks for stopping by, have fun all!
