13.06. OG KUSH-Day 49 The plant is now at the end of its seventh week, it has progressed well, except that it was stressed for 2 days because there was a strong storm and it tilted the plant, so I added another stake, straightened it and tied it up. 5 nights ago there was a strong storm, the morning after the storm when I came to the site, I found some plants crooked, some normal, but there were no broken ones, thank God, but they were very stressed and what you can see in the pictures appeared on the leaves, some leaves were crispy at the edges, but still green, mostly shoots before the newest ones. I haven't had this problem before, I researched a bit on the internet and came to the conclusion that the wind burned them, and I also turned to GW for an opinion, two characters confirmed my opinion. Two days later I noticed that the matter was getting worse and that it was spreading, which worried me, so I contacted GW again for an opinion. Some told me that it was mold, some that it was an infection, disease and so on, mostly guesswork, but no one specifically told me what was certain, so I decided on nim oil, and whatever it is, I guess the problem should be solved. According to some leaves, I would say that insects might be the problem, but I really don't know, I haven't had similar problems before. I regulate the ph of the plants, I still don't feed them, there is food in the ground for another week, except for the fact that I added cal-mag after that storm when I watered them. I want to say that the plants are certainly not locked, and the heat is not yet so high that this would happen from the same, the more the temperatures have dropped and now it is perfect. Since transplanting, I have watered the plants only 2 times. Yesterday morning they were topped for the second time, only the main branches, I will do the next topping of the side branches. Last night I sprayed the plants with neem oil and already today the problem seems to be going away, if I tripped at least it doesn't spread further, that's for sure. I didn't mix the oil very well, I didn't add any soap or anything like that because I wouldn't really spray the plants with any chemicals, and on some of the leaves on one or two plants there is that thick, brownish liquid, so I hope it won't hurt them, I noticed that today during the day, I couldn't see it at night. I still don't know what the problem is, but my guess is still that the wind burned them or some insects. Speaking of insects, I think I noticed thrips on one plant on the underside of the leaf, so in addition to the neem oil I already gave, I also ordered SMC, so I will spray that at least once a week while they are still young. Another great week of bud growth and terpenes production. Think I'll be finished half was through week 9, or at the end of week 9. So far no signs of any hermaphrodite traits. Wish I started flower with a little less light intensity, as I feel that's caused the buds near the top to slightly fox tail, as the ones lower down look abit of a better shape, although smaller.

If somebody is thinking about their first strain this is a good start. Just try to avoid some basic mistakes and all should be just fine.

In my first few grows, I was hitting around 30 grams of dry weight, my buds weren't "fattening up", and I was underwhelmed by my results. So, I started again, and I've completely rebuilt my grow area. Lessons learnt: 1. Light REALLY REALLY REALLY matters! I started out by using a 35w led panel. I then "upgraded" to a cheap 100w grow light. I thought these would be good enough, and to some extent they were. However, since the rebuild, I invested in a Mars Hydro TS1000, which was significantly more expensive than the other two. I'm absolutely astounded by the results. If you're starting your grow journey, buy the best you can afford. The light is the most important part of the build, and if you get that right, the rest is a doddle. 2. Tents are worth the money. I originally had my stealth grow up in the loft, but have instead bought a small budbox tent, and that, combined with the light, has made a huge difference to the maintenance of a stable growing environment. For the first time, I am seeing fat buds, and it's a thrill. I at last know what people mean now when they say their buds are fattening up, because mine are visibly 2 or 3 times bulkier than those of my first 4 or 5 grows. And there's a lot of them. Previously I'd get the main bud on the main stem, and some smaller buds around that. My smaller buds are now almost equal in size to my main before, and my main makes me drool. I cannot wait to harvest. 3. Control pH. Stay on top of this, and keep it in the optimal range to the best of your ability. Buy a chap pH meter, and do your measures regularly. Make adjustments to the best of your ability. This means doing maths, and I've yet to get a formula that works well enough to be precise in terms of weights and measures of up/down agents, but small changes rather than wild swings are the way forward. 4. Try not to stress your girls out. I've had two grows go hermie on me. Too much LST, too much chopping and too much variation in conditions - water, nutrients and environment. 5. Don't give up. I'm not much of a smoker, but I so very much enjoy being a gardener. There's something deeply satisfying in knowing that you are getting it right. Sort of plays to my competitive nature. I'll take some pictures later, and show you what I mean.

Day 78 - Starting week 12 and she’s still chugging along and filling in and fattening up nicely. She’ll need some water and nutes in the next day or so. Day 79 - Still moving along nicely. Did a little defoliating today and will do a heavier one in another week or so. She probably is down to a couple weeks left, some of the pistils are starting to shrivel a bit but overall, still alive and well. Still have a couple days before she’s ready for some water. Day 80 - She’s looking good and fat and hell. She’s starting to get pretty damn heavy so looking at a pretty decent harvest. She wasn’t quite ready for water but should be ready tomorrow. Day 81 - Nothing new to speak of today, she was getting dry but not quite ready for some water but will definitely be giving her a feeding tomorrow. Pistils are slowly starting to shrivel up and turn reddish brown so starting to count the days down to chop. I’m thinking about 2 more weeks or so. Day 82 - The girl was majorly droopy today and was definitely ready for some water. I gave her a gallon of water with her last feeding of bloom nutes. I’ll flush her with some sledgehammer when she’s dried up again and just give her water until it’s time to harvest. Day 84 - She’s getting close to getting the chop. Leaves are starting to fade and pistils are starting to shrivel up. Still has quite a bit of white pistils but she’s on the downside, 2 weeks top left. Will be giving her a flush tomorrow and let her go till the end.

Very happy with the outcome just as good as the first time I grown this strain!!!!

Sep 28: still going into a new week. She is definitely bulking up but the season is almost done. I’ll take what I can get for hash, and the very top buds will likely be okay for flower. Sep 29: looks noticeably larger overnight which is great to see. Might still work as our weather forecast has been upgraded to extend the season a bit further. Sep 30: light rain and overcast all day. Hit 0 C last night and daytime high was only 9 C so season is mostly done. Maybe two weeks more can get squeezed in but that will likely be it.
