It's a nice change of pace to have these warmer temperatures, even if it's not quite spring yet. Low 40s during the day is a lot more comfortable than what we've been dealing with lately. Hopefully, this is a sign that spring's around the corner. It's crazy how much my permanent marker plants have grown! They've really taken off. One's got these super cool purple stems, and the other's covered in buds – it's gonna be beautiful when they bloom.

A very cool strain to grow 😀👌 4 on 4 germination rate gave me 4 nice and robust plants. One plant was taller and different from the 3 others one. The red one was a real beauty 😍

Starting strong, need to and alternative way of watering as I was using a jug and some of the soil sunk which made the stem bend down a little. This was quickly corrected A few changes on 27th I removed the oil heater that was really to big for the size of the tent. By doing this alone I could bring the light closer which is the reason for the slow growth. I also bought a humidifier as I was manually spraying the tent and now I can keep the levels up all the time I could now either use a smaller fan heater in or outside blowing through intake vents (without drying the plant up now I have the humidifier) or…… I could put the oil heater on outside the heat and insulate it

Growth Overview: Vegetative Stage: Auto Critical Orange Punch developed into a thick and bushy plant with vigorous growth. It filled out its space well, creating a dense canopy of healthy, deep green leaves. This week was much more exciting due to much more knowledge gathered about what it is I have do. First big issue was that my ph levels were off (about 7) got my ph meter. Calibrated and now can di a proper 6.2. Plants responded right away. Started feeding once per day : - 2ml cal max - 2ml grow - 2ml micro - 1ml bloom These are from Terra Aquatica At the end of the week started to add liquid worm castings as well Found out that my coco is not properly buffered. Since it came in bricks and I added only water, so will add 4ml calmag. The runoff is steady for about 10-20%, except for one plant where its almost 50%. But as plant is the strongest it does not bother me right now. Made some major upgrades to my DIY grow tent and now it’s more comfortable and less stress to plants. And my second light came in so things look pretty good. Unfortently I accidently damaged one of my plants. But as it was the smallest one it didnt looked like it will make it anyway. So will have the opportunity to properly germinate and seed the new one.

This was another hot, hot week with a big rainstorm. Take a look at the measuring cup, it is full of rainwater. Gorilla Cookies continues to smell and is very sticky. It is a tall and lanky plant but look at the heavy buds weighing down the stems. It should be ready to take down in a couple of weeks. Half way through this grow, I had to stop using Miracle Grow and change my grow plan. I decide to use Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the rest of the grow. Jungle Juice’s selling point is that it is the only nutrient that I should need during the entire grow. One just need to make the solution stronger as the plant matures. The directions say to “stir vigorously” and that is true. It is very clumpy and I had to stir and shake the bottle a lot. As your plant is in veg and growing larger, directions say to up your Jungle Juice to 4 ml per liter. If my calculations are correct, I am using approx. 5 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket. 1 gal is 3.78 liters 5 gallons=18.92 liters 4ml jungle juice per liter x 18.92 liters= 75.7 ml which is = to 5.119 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket of water As the end of the summer is quickly approaching, I have spent some time reflecting this week on all of the contests that I have entered and not won this summer. It can be a little frustrating because of all the time I have spent taking pictures and writing commentary. But, instead of it getting me down, I have to think about all of the positive take aways and I want to share them on this platform. I have read a lot of diaries and now know why I am just an apprentice. I have a lot to learn from all of you. There are some really good growers with a lot of experience and crazy grow techniques. So much knowledge is on this platform-it’s mind boggling. To be a great grower, you must be willing to be vulnerable and put yourself out there and try different suggestions and new techniques. I have made a few friend that I enjoy chatting with. I enjoy reading comments versus just seeing likes. My best friend on grow diaries is @Natrona and my neighbor as well. She has been growing longer than I have been so I routinely learn from her. This summer I learned to mix 1 cup of Perlite into my soil. I can see where my plants need the air flow. And, I now I only defoliate fan leaves that absolutely need to be gone. I let the fan leaves stay on until they fall off. I want my buds to pull all the nutrients they can out of the fan leaves. I also bought 2 new tools that @natrona suggested. The first was a water PH tester and the second was my Max-ee Magnifier which is informative and fun to use. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grows First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. Last watered on dec 10; I eased up on the LST angle on the Larry OG. She’s looking a lot better than a couple of weeks ago. Although growth has been stunted substantially, I’ll try to nurse her back to the best of my abilities; We’ll see if the coffee grounds cause nitrogen toxicity, or if it pays off; The bud sites on the Mandarin Cookies have grown at least an 1 1/2in in the last week and seem to be doing well, There’s some very faint tip yellowing on the new growth so I think I’ll water with some plain ph’ed tap water and perhaps some molasses;

This weeks been great besides the heat 😬 had some good cooler days that allowed me to really cool down the tent and get a good vpd reading at night. I’ve been trying to hold the humidity roughly round 35, 40% but it’s hard in this dry heat. Been learning to balance temperature and humidity for the best vpd reading. The og kush is showing some yellowing of the tips of the leafs. I’m thinking it’s from the heat. I am like the signs of purple in the one og kush plant. Crazy how they are 2 same og kush seeds and they are both growing similar and different at the same time haha! I love seeing the recovery of the tops and the reward for all the work put into veg! Gonna keep going strong the next 4 weeks! Been doing about 6.20 6.10 for ph. Also keeping the water cooler to keep them roots cool! Great week headed into week 4 after week 4 no more big bud on nutrients. Super excited 🔥 also wanna talk about how well all these strains are growing!
