After week 16 of this grow my 'Fruity Terps'-plants are ready to harvest. I check the trichome-heads with a handheld-microscope (magnification of 150, available in every growshop) and see that all have turned milky and some start to turn amber already. That means PEAK-THC (=all trichome-heads have turned milky) has been reached inside the trichome and it is time to harvest. If I would let them go longer now and continue to flower them, more of the trichome heads will turn amber as the THC breaks down again to other cannabinoids, and the effect of the cannabis will get more sedative when smoked. For some chronic pain patients this is what they want from their medicine, therefore it is advisable for them to let the weed flower than recommended. The aroma coming out of the tent is STRONG and DELICIOUSLY FRUITY! šŸ˜ The fade from the flush has turned the bigger fan-leaves yellow or purple now, this shows the plant is using her own sugars now and has used up all nutrients saved inside her. That is exactly what I want, since a well flushed plant ensures a clean, smooth smoke when the buds are dried. This is my MEDICINE and I use it against my chranic back-pain from hernia, therefore I have to make sure I can consume my medicine as pure and clean as possible. All my plants have grown big buds, which are glistening with TRICHOMES, the SANlight EVO4-120 LEDs did an OUTSTANDING JOB! In combination with the BIO NOVA nutrients, all plants THRIVED throughout the cycle and were able to grow healthy to their full potential.

Buds have all developed and fattened up nicely will start to flush these bad boys later on in the coming weeks prior to the great chop!! I've been smoking the f2's leafs for a while and can honestly say I'm really happy with the flavour profile and resin production.. Am thinking of reveging 1 to keep the genetics alive šŸ˜€šŸ˜€šŸ˜€ T-14 days šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰ Just chopped everything down due to space and had a little spyder mite issue at the end.. In all 54 days in flower was a decent amount of time!! Will wait for the final dry w8 and report back!!

Schƶnen Sonntag euch šŸ’š 🌿 Wochenupdate Die Woche ist etwas Ruhe eingekehrt =) Alles lƤuft wieder stabil. Seitdem ich pH+ hinzugezogen habe, ist der Drift wieder voll im Rahmen, und die Damen entwickeln sich zum Glück allesamt weiter. Da es aktuell nicht so viel aus dem Run selbst zu berichten gibt, wollte ich einfach ein paar Dinge teilen, die ich in Zukunft zumindest mit meinem Aufbau anders machen werde =) Fangen wir mit dem 4Ɨ4-Cross an 🌿 Auf jeden Fall eine super spannende Geschichte. Es ist wirklich interessant zu beobachten, wie die verschiedenen Genetiken auf das gleiche Environment reagieren und sich zueinander entwickeln 😊 Und sind wir ehrlich, wer hat nicht gerne ein bisschen Auswahl =D Allerdings finde ich, es braucht sehr viel Zeit und Fingerspitzengefühl, einen EC-Bereich zu finden, in dem sich alle gleichzeitig gleich wohl fühlen. Und das, obwohl ich darauf geachtet habe, dass alle von ihrer Entwicklungszeit und dem bekannten EC-Bedarf nicht zu weit auseinanderliegen. Für Single-Reservoirs eher suboptimal, finde ich zumindest 😊 Hier werde ich in Zukunft eher zu 2Ɨ2-Cross tendieren und schauen, wie sich das verhƤlt. Der hohe EC hat sich auch echt gut getragen, bis ich ins frühe Bulking geswitcht bin šŸ”„ Ab da hat mir dann mein weiches Wasser feinstens einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht =D Die Kette verlief etwa so, dass insbesondere Notorious mit dem EC deutlich zu kƤmpfen hatte. Daraufhin habe ich die Lƶsung – wie immer – berechnet entspannt angepasst. Als ich den Eindruck hatte, dass sie wieder deutlich besser dasteht, habe ich bemerkt, dass ich durch das Verdünnen der Lƶsung šŸ’§ und meinem weichem Wasser in einen schleichenden pH-Drift gerutscht bin.. Zu der Zeit hat es leider etwas gedauert, pH+ zu beschaffen. Jop auch son Ding hƤtte man ja vorher wissen kƶnnen :D :D Letztendlich standen sie Dadurch nach dem Entspannen der Lƶsung phasenweise in ziemlich niedrigem pH , was wiederum für verlangsamte Aufnahme bzw. teilweise vielleicht auch schon für Lockouts gesorgt hat. Beim nƤchsten Run wird der EC wieder defensiver gefahren und vor allem mein Wasser direkt von Beginn an gepuffert šŸ’§šŸ˜Š Sonst bin ich wirklich happy, wie es bis hier lief – es sieht schon wieder alles besser aus =D 🌸 Pflanzenstatus & Training Blueberry Cupcake ist nach wie vor absoluter Performer šŸ”„Ich glaube, hier hƤtte man sogar noch mehr pushen kƶnnen =D Selbst unter den stressigen Bedingungen lƤuft sie wirklich erstaunlich stabil. Sie hat schƶn gefrostete Blüten und der Blaubeer-Geruch hat sich etwas gesetzt. Riecht mega lecker – freue mich schon auf den Test 😊 Purpz hat leider doch mehr reagiert, als ich es gehofft habe.. Ich glaube, das war hier am Ende einfach zu viel auf einmal. Sie hƤngt immer noch etwas nach, und ich habe allgemein den Eindruck sie ist momentan eher entspannt unterwegs 🌱 Ihre Buds gefallen mir trotzdem echt gut – bin gespannt, was hier im Finish noch kommt 😊 Riecht mittlerweile sehr fruchtig. Notorious hat ihre Pause beendet =D Sie legt langsam wieder los.. Allerdings war es hier sichtbar zu viel – erst der hohe EC, dann die pH-Thematik, all on me šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ˜… Ich bin froh, dass sie überhaupt noch weitermacht šŸ’š und nicht alles mit Nanners verpestet. Dass sie trotzdem langsam, aber sichtbar wieder zurückfindet, fasziniert mich ✨ Bis auf die geschƤdigten BlƤtter, die nach und nach abwelken, steht sie aktuell wieder solide da. Guzzlerz macht wie BBCC einen guten Eindruck šŸ˜„ Ich hatte eine Nachtphase mit temp-bedingtem VPD-Peak, da hat sie kurz die BlƤtter hƤngen lassen šŸƒ Sonst gibt es nur Gutes zu berichten =) Schƶne Frostbildung nach wie vor, Stacking ist im vollen Gange. After flushing multiple times, and checking the ppm of the removed water, I realized how much nutrient build up I was subjecting the plant to. Big lesson learned that I need to add ph’d water without nutrients more often and check the ppm after I mix it back in. Leaves are starting to lighten up from dark green and I noticed very slight deficiency on one or two leaves. Now I’m at 25% nutrient strength and it is starting to grow noticeably faster.

ABC AND STEALTH FIGHTER COMBINED AND IT DECIDED TO GO WITH MORE STABLE GENES šŸ˜† Don't Worry Some Mutants Did Pop In Other Parts Of My Garden I'll Make A Journal Soon! For Now We Will Just Pray This Is A Girl! She Due For Her Topping Today! She Exploded Once She Had Some Roots And I Blacked Out The Glass With Painters Tape! So We Flip Very Very Soon! One More Week! This May Not Look Like Much, But Considering Her Constraints, It's A LOT! TERRA POWER!

A good week here in the tent. The girls continue to grow and progress. Getting a small amount of water daily. Looking for more progression then I'll transplant the best looking ones.

Good week... she's grown a lot, is looking VERY strong - #1's stem is already pretty thick for such a young plant.... so I think I'm going to let her get a couple more nodes on her and then top and clone her... #2 is a little weaker so I think I might top her this week. I've put them both on an aggressive veg feed and they're both responding very nicely to it... such a difference from autoflowers! I find it fascinating..... so much so that I tend to rather ignore them... for example, I think I MAY have given them a drink of something only 4 or 5 times in their lives (they've just celebrated their 4th week from seed)... never any complaints, never saying "hey, fool - pay attention to me!" .... I glance at them once a day and move on.... Still trying to decide where in my yard they're going to be planted - but I've got at least 4 more weeks before I'll feel comfortable enough with the weather to go dig a hole for them... SHOULD also start some LST, I suppose.... going to be relying on LST a lot outdoors so I can hopefully avoid the bud rot that plagued me last year... Great fun! May 4 - I've decided I'm going to top #1 today and stick the top in Clonex, into a RootRiot and plunk it into a DWC bucket ... so while I'll have these two plants out in the yard waiting for an October harvest, I can flip the clone indoors for an earlier harvest to see if I like the strain at all.... Hmmm... maybe I'll do that to both of them and keep one in veg while I flip one of them... This is kind of cool - I'm learning about all the possibilities growing photoperiods gives you... just amazing! I'm like a kid in a candy store! LOL! I'll put up a video when I top and clone... but don't take it as gospel because this will be my first time and I don't REALLY know what the hell I'm doing... just having fun and experimenting! May 5 - Happy Cinco de Mayo! Didn't get around to topping and starting a clone yesterday... but I've just now posted up two videos - the first where I'm determining where to top - and the second, longer one, where I place the top I've just cut off into DWC to clone... or ATTEMPT to clone! LOL! God knows if this is going to work... if you've got any comments on what I've done, hints for a better way of doing things PLEASE comment below! I could use all the help I can get! Should I, for example, chop off the lower fan leaves of the top? Or are they needed for the top to survive? I can't help but think they're a pretty big drain on the poor thing... #1, which is the one I topped, is really showing me she needs to get outside in the yard... her roots are starting to peek through the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot.... I THOUGHT a 2-gallon would be big enough to last at least a month and a half but..... I'm going to have to get serious about where to put these ladies!

Major issues with calcium def for no reason and a weird re veg, and the utter lack of mould resistance. Plant was tall and buds are huge and dense, let's hope the taste is phenomenal.

Things are winding up! Have been flushing #2 for a couple of days. Replacing half the water each day.PPM is under 100 and that's been consistent for a day. The harvest will be going into a dark closet in a day where it will stay for 7-10 days (7 I'm sure), then be jarred for curing. 20 branches harvested! BHB#1 is still packing it on! Guesstimate, two more weeks. Will start flush Wednesday taking 50-75% solution out and replacing with water. Weights will be shared after #1 has dried. Have had a couple 'testers' already and am not disappointed. Harvest was better than my last soil grow and this first DWC was not a disaster. I'm happy with it. Evening fellow growers hope you all had a great weekend. Massive shout to James @RQS for supplying the beans for my current grow. āš ļø I add photos as the week progress so please stop by and check out the progress. Day 29 the start of week 5, we have entered flower. Let’s hope for some stretch now. Really happy with how they are progressing. Still trying to figure out why the big one at the back is looking sad. She is growing at a rate of knots so I’m bamboozled to say the least! Watered last night will introduce some flower nutrients this week. Day 31, watered today upped the amount to 1 litre also started with some bloom. Will add some photos either day or tomorrow. āœŒļø Day 32, nothing to report just letting them do their thing. šŸ‘ŠšŸ» Day 35, not been a good couple days. The dodgy looking one at the back is no longer part of the crew. She tried and I gave her all the best help I could but she just stopped growing. The bud sites were like nothing I have ever seen before I really don’t know what happened. The other mimosa is doing fine. She is stretching and the bud sites are looking good. Watered last night with plain water. Will probs give her one more feed of grow then onto the bloom. āœŒļø Once again thank you all for the love and likes on the current diary. āœŒļø

Day 56-63 (Day 57) I might have to fix the light to the roof of the tent so I can get another 3 inches up. The ppfd is just too intense at this height. The node stacking is super tight, I’m seeing some droop on almost every plant and the plants just look stunted. I might have to take out the big shelf I just paid 90$ for and raise the light to get the ppfd level down. This happened my last grow as well. It’s a great light for flowering but sucks ass for veg unless it’s hung 5’ above the canopy. I’ve seen videos of others with the same light and they have to fix it to the roof. The dimming function only works with a master controller I don’t have the money for right now. Pulling bbb #2. I’m seeing very small but clear pollen sacks. It’s also drooping like crazy. The roots don’t look as healthy as some of the other males I pulled earlier. They have a slight brown tinge but still mostly white. I wonder if I accidentally gave top dressed it too many times when I mixed them all up a while ago. I’m going to transplant bbb’s #1, #3, #6 & #7 into my 10 gallon destiny/coco pots lightly water. This is kind of a gamble because 2 of them are not showing definitively. Although I’m about 75% sure they’re fems. If not, I got my two backups. (Day 58) I was reading about symptoms of high PH and I definitely have it indicated by the twisted and stunted growth on top. I’m going to try to water in a full gallon at 5.8 and see if I get a good response. I sprayed the pump nozzle directly into the soil after it was empty to put some oxygen into that big 10g pot. The blackberry I gave the lowered PH water too noticeably responded within a few hours. The clawing has pretty much stopped and it now looks like the healthiest plant in the tent. I’m going to see how it responds over the next few days then try it with my other plants if everything looks good. I’m going to try it with bbb #5 in the 1.7g pot and see if it responds in the same way. I ran a gallon of 5.8 water through 1.7g and got less than a 100ml of runoff which is a little surprising. The runoff measured 1750ppms which seems a little on the high side but isn’t insane for peat based soil. (Day 59) Wow. The plants responded to that little PH adjustment insanely well. #5 isn’t dropping at all and the leaf wrinkles are actually flattening out. It’s starting to look like one of the healthiest plants in the tent. I’m still hoping for #5 to show female. 5 plants would cut my veg time down and give me another opportunity for a keeper pheno. All 4 plants are looking like they’ve already recovered from their transplant. #1 in particular was drooping like crazy yesterday and today it’s bounced back and looking happier than ever. I’m seeing a bit of tip droop on a few plants but they still seem fine I wonder if because my soil is 50% coco I should try watering on the acidic side, around 6.0-6.2 from now on. I’m almost certain that solved all the issues I was having. (Day 62) Plants are all looking really healthy. They all seem to have outgrown the initial light stress actually but node stacking is still really tight and I hope to raise the light up next week sometime. I’m going to drop the humidity to 60% for the rest of veg. These pots are massive and I’m still a little worried about dry downs but they aren’t showing any signs of overwatering or lack of oxygen. BBB#3 is starting to show some weird discoloring like an mag or nitrogen deficiency. Which is weird because it’s freshly transplanted into nitrogen rich soil. Guess I will give it a kelp foliar spray. I’ve been looking for a good organic source of K without an absurd amount of magnesium and sulfur like langbeinite has. I found some 0-0-15 kelp/seaweed extract in soluble crystal form. So from time to time I will water that in at half strength or with compost teas to keep my soil K dominant. (Day 63) I’m still waiting on #6 to show sex. I am shocked it hasn’t shown sex yet. Although it was started a week and a half after the others but still. I’m going to be so pissed if it ends up being a male. I’m taking a gamble but I’m confident it will show female when the time comes. bbb#3 got a little more color back from that foliar spray. Hope that doesn’t get worse because it’s my favorite pheno so far. I will give a N boost in the form of compost tea tomorrow afternoon to both of my tents. I’m starting to utilize the scrog net and boy does it make training way easier. This seems to be a much smarter style of growing for yield and quality. I’m getting tired of these pH fluctuations every time I water. I’ve been eyeballing for the most part and I need a consistent formula. I found the perfect mix to stabilize my RO water and stabilize the pH at 6.2. I moistened the top soil of each plant and will watch for any reactions. I started feeding liquid nutrients this week. Although I’m using Nature’s Living Soil Super Soil Autoflower Concentrate mixed with Fox Farm Ocean Forest—so technically I could water only until harvest—I decided to begin liquid feeding in Week 3 at half the recommended dose. I also have a Tray2Grow Autopot system for automatic bottom feeding, but I haven’t activated it yet. When using liquid nutrients via top feeding, I’d need to turn the Autopot system off and wait until the plants absorb all the water in the tray before feeding from the top. Afterward, I’d have to manually turn the system back on. That seems like a hassle compared to just hand-watering and feeding. I could technically add the liquid nutrients to the Autopot reservoir, but that somewhat defeats the purpose of the system. The tank holds 25 gallons—enough to last a few weeks—but if I want to change or rotate nutrients weekly, I’d have to dump the remaining water and remix the solution each time. If I wanted to feed nutrients every other watering, I’d be changing out the tank every 3 days. Plus, liquid nutrients can cause buildup, so I’d need to clean the reservoir and all the tubing regularly. For now, I’ll stick with hand-watering and top feeding. I’ll only switch to the Autopot system if I need to leave town.

A light spectrum in the scope of 400 to 700nm induces growth and development, and UV (100–400nm) and infrared (700–800nm) light play a role in plant morphogenesis—which is essentially the process of plants developing their physical form and external structure. Optimizing Your Knowledge in the Grow Room To maximize your yield, always aim for 40 moles, or 40,000,000 μmol, per day. Here is how much PPFD is needed per second for each phase of cannabis growth to achieve the DLI of 40 moles of light per day. Seedling phase (18hr cycle): 200–300 μmol m-2 s-1 Vegetative phase (18hr cycle): 617 μmol m-2 s-1 Flowering phase (12hr cycle): 925 μmol m-2 s-1, (1500 μmol m-2 s-1 @2000ppm co2) (ballpark) When choosing grow lights for cannabis, it is essential to check the technical specifications to determine if they are strong enough to get the job done. Of course, this doesn't mean that you have to buy the most expensive lights there are. Still, it does mean that you should research each of these specifications in relation to your cannabis plants to find a grow light that will fully serve your needs. This is especially true with PPFD, as this is arguably the most insightful value for growers—it tells you exactly how much useful light your plants are absorbing at a certain distance from the grow light. With my fixed light source, as the plant develop height through stages, it will naturaslly grow into higher μmol ranges naturally dictated by its height. ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL5 (HY5), a bZIP-type transcription factor, acts as a master regulator that regulates various physiological and biological processes in plants such as photomorphogenesis, root growth, flavonoid biosynthesis and accumulation, nutrient acquisition, and response to abiotic stresses. HY5 is evolutionally conserved in function among various plant species. HY5 acts as a master regulator of a light-mediated transcriptional regulatory hub that directly or indirectly controls the transcription of approximately one-third of genes at the whole genome level. The transcription, protein abundance, and activity of HY5 are tightly modulated by a variety of factors through distinct regulatory mechanisms. This review primarily summarizes recent advances in HY5-mediated molecular and physiological processes and regulatory mechanisms on HY5 in the model plant Arabidopsis as well as in crops. Plants utilize light as the predominant energy source for photosynthesis. Besides, light signal acts as an essential external factor that mediates a variety of physiological and developmental processes in plants. Plants are continuously exposed to dynamically changing light signals due to the daily and seasonal alternation in natural conditions. The various light signals are perceived by at least five classes of wavelength-specific photoreceptors including phytochromes (phyA-phyE), cryptochromes (CRY1 and CRY2), phototropin (PHOT1 and PHOT2), F-box containing flavin binding proteins (ZTL, FKF1, and (LKP2), and UV-B RESISTANCE LOCUS 8 (UVR8). These photoreceptors are biologically activated by various light signals, subsequently initiating a large scale of transcriptional reprogramming at the whole genome level. Extensive genetic and biochemical studies have established that the ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL5 (HY5), a bZIP-type transcription factor, tightly controls the light-regulated transcriptional alternation. Loss of HY5 function mutant seedlings display drastically elongated hypocotyls in various light conditions, suggesting that HY5 acts downstream of multiple photoreceptors in promoting photomorphogenesis in plants. In addition to inhibiting hypocotyl growth, HY5 regulates other various physiological and developmental processes including root growth, pigment biosynthesis and accumulation, responses to various hormonal signals, and low and high temperatures. This review summarizes the recent advances and progress in HY5-regulated cellular, physiological, and developmental processes in various plant species. We also highlighted emerging insights regarding the HY5-mediated integration of multiple developmental, external, and internal signaling inputs in the regulation of plant growth. Among the genes regulated by the circadian clock, we found that the excision repair protein XPA is controlled by the biological clock, and we, therefore, asked whether the entire nucleotide excision repair oscillates with daily periodicity. XPA transcription and protein levels are at a maximum at around 5 pm and at a minimum at around 5 am. Importantly, the entire excision repair activity shows the same pattern. This led to the prediction that mice would be more sensitive to UV light when exposed at 5 am (when repair is low), compared to 5 pm (when repair is high). We proceeded to test this prediction. We irradiated two groups of mice with UV at 5 am and 5 pm, respectively, and found that the group irradiated at 5 am exhibited a 4–5 fold higher incidence of invasive skin carcinoma than the group irradiated at 5 pm. Currently, we are investigating whether this rhythmicity of excision repair exists in humans. Molecular mechanism of the mammalian circadian clock. CLOCK and BMAL1 are transcriptional activators, which form a CLOCK-BMAL1 heterodimer that binds to the E-box sequence (CACGTG) in the promoters of Cry and Per genes to activate their transcription. CRY and PER are transcriptional repressors, and after an appropriate time delay following protein synthesis and nuclear entry, they inhibit their own transcription, thus causing the rise and fall of CRY and PER levels with circa 24-hour periodicity (core clock). The core clock proteins also act on other genes that have E-boxes in their regulatory regions. As a consequence, about 30% of all genes are clock-controlled genes (CCG) in a given tissue and hence exhibit daily rhythmicity. Among these genes, the Xpa gene, which is essential for nucleotide excision repair, is also controlled by the clock. Circadian control of excision repair and photocarcinogenesis in mice. The core circadian clock machinery controls the rhythmic expression of XPA, such that XPA RNA and protein levels are at a minimum at 5 am and at a maximum at 5 pm. The entire excision repair system, therefore, exhibits the same type of daily periodicity. As a consequence, when mice are irradiated with UVB at 5 am they develop invasive skin carcinoma at about 5-fold higher frequency compared to mice irradiated at 5 pm when repair is at its maximum. The mouse in the picture belongs to the 5 am group with multiple invasive skin carcinomas at the conclusion of the experiment.

First week back with my plants and they’re wayyy bigger than I thought they’d get! Decided to do a big defoliation since it’s about the 3-4 week in flower. And they’re getting stanky

Day 28 flower i didnt touch the plant this week shes also put in the 4x4 today under the se5000 with the rest of the plants

Sure are stinking the place up now ! Unbelievable. Still maturing nicely buds arnt supper tight on one on the left the right side is looking better. But still a week or so yet I would say one will be done a week or so before the other also. All in all things are looking good.
