This week #2 has fattened up a fair bit. Earlier in the week I tried a technique called backbuilding which I never heard of before which involves snipping of the very top of bud growth late in flower to encourage fat buds rather than stretchy ones. Left a couple as they were to compare. I am giving this one plain water from now till the end. #1 is progressing. The bottom of the plant has totally disappeared haha, hopefully the GHE nutes will save the top. Due to lacking nitrogen during its extended veg period which I wasn't planning for; thought it would start flowering anytime! Looks a lot more frosty than #2 did at this point. Should be a good harvest none the less considering how it has had the top cut off and the deficiencies.

In week 10 I have some plants, which have grown taller than the rest (canopy is appr. 80 cm high now). In order to not have to raise my lamp, I rather correct their height by 'supercropping' them. Supercropping is a technique developed by SOMA from SOMA_seeds and works VERY WELL. Instead of topping your plants (=cutting off the main stem) it is better to take the main stem between your fingers (appr. 15-20 cm form the top) and brake the fibers inside and then bend it downwords. This way the stem will stay intact and heal itself and you dont loose the main buds growing on it later. In the video above I show and explain how I supercrop a plant. The plants are now getting more and more into flowering and therefore I switch the dimmer on my SANlight EVO4-120 plants to 100% now (see in video above). The BIO NOVA nutrients are increased as well a little bit, so the plants can build big buds.

Day 40: I returned from a weekend, finding now (luckily) much slower height but an impressive bud growth. Nothing special to report except for I lowered lady #2’s lights a bit. She is now some visible cms behind her sister (who has 83 cm), and maybe that helps to compensate her (still very nice) growth. Gave them another round of fertilised water, still with some HPE, during day 40. I could see in timelapse video they immediately gained fuller leaf positions and some progress. But sadly, as it’s quite warm here, main blower kicked in often, ruining the video to be much too shaky to show. Day 42: Nothing special again. Slow height gain (84 cm), steady bud growth. Day 43: I noticed the lowest leaves getting a bit pale. While this is perfectly ok on one hand – not much light to collect there anyway –, I think I will increase fertiliser portion a bit next time they are thirsty. At the end 85 cm in tallest main bud. Day 44 concludes this week. Not much to report except for what was already said. Slow but steady growth, a tiny bit of yellowing on the very lowest leaves and thirst about 1 l/day. This week was very hot, but the last day brought some cooling. Would be nice to have a timelapse video again that does not look like camera Raspi had Parkinson’s (when main blower is active).

Mar 24: Watering till runoff now... runoff ppm was 2500+... Will be using very mild nutes to flush over 1 - 3 feeds... or until I am near my input. Mar 26: Continuing to use 650ppm feed with bloom focus, 2L per plant gives 15% runoff... Runoff ppm is still very high... I wanted to check pH of runoff but the color is so vibrant i cant use the pH drops to view color, need to get a pH probe. Plants are thriving, no issues at all. the extra fan fixed the post-water droop. One plant is bushy and has the most bud sites, One is the smallest but has the most uniform structure, this one has the biggest buds and thickest stalk, One is about in the middle of the 2. Mar 29: one of these girls gets droopy early when its time for water, thought the canopy was too high so i tied down some more, no cigar... gonna try increasing calmag, if that doesent work im going to reposition in the grow box to a side instead of middle, may not need the upper end ppfd...

Germination methyod will be the same, soaking seeds in water then into the final pots medium. They will be getting a 18/6 light scheulde from start to finish and a PH of between 6.2-6.5 for the entire grow. I will be useing some root incolulents to help the plants form a strong and healty realnship with the medium. From what I can tell this should go smoothly without many issues. It was a wonderful journey, I really had the honor of doing this girl many times, this time even close to the Monster Zkittlez with which they generated the Runtz who was also in the grow. Super modern family situation, I wanted to try to figure out which one I liked best, and I still haven't been able to. at least I'm still tasting Runtz's first flowers and it's heavenly but the freshly picked Gelato and the upcoming Zkittlez are scary just to see them. Super resin, it really looks fake, I also have some macro photos that will make you cry. The resin is everywhere the trichomes are even in the largest leaves the scent is of the garden of eden. wow. Show. Really nice. It was freshly cleaned I want to try to do the resin the first time and then I have freshly cleaned and hung the whole girl upside down under the crop data next week when I clean and can give the detail. Gorgeous. Before being collected, she did two music therapy days, one of which in the dark with frequencies for plants and together we listened: 1 - Paolo Conte - "Gelato" al Limon 2 - Raekwon - Ice Cream to stay on the "Geato" theme and then all the M83 discography to be collected with the very famous Outro of Interstellar really seems to pass to a better life listening to that stuff. Flower18, riego con 6.2 pH y EC 2.2, pequeña defoliación. Flower22, riego con 6.5 pH y 3.0 EC. Hoy las plantas me han sorprendido, están creciendo mucho sus flores, se están viendo muy llenas. Me preocupa que por el espacio muy justo, puedan generar hongos, tendré que colocar tutores para separar un poco las ramas y mejorar la ventilación poniendo 1 o 2 ventiladores extra, quizás darle más potencia al extractor también. A parte de eso van súper bien 😁

With every new plant in my box bringing something new in my techniques

We arrived in the third week the plants show good vigor and growth. Some cold days 17 Cº may have prevented further growth but we do not have to complain the plants demonstrate to be enjoying food and light. On the 15th the plants presented slightly wilted leaves as day 16 was the day of watering I imagined it was thirsty. But day 16 a few hours after watering the plant still had the same symptoms so I realized that the LED screen was 53 cm from the plant. I increased the distance to 65cm and the plant returned to normal both in force and I managed to correct the diagnosis. I am managing to apprehend some things finally putting into practice.

Last week was the last feed week we will be flushing the plants for the last two weeks of this grow flushing with kleens by cyco and a touch of molasses to finish of this grow of the year harvest in two weeks

Increasing feed and light slowly , things are coming along , there nice and compact , they seem to have good root growth so far and will speed up as I increase the light and feed from now . My ec/ph meter decided to break so been waiting for a new one .
