They had 48 hrs of darkness, and the time has come to say goodbye to my friends. I thanked them again, spend some time with them, and under the sound of Amazonian shaman's harvest and healing songs (will post link), asked for their gifts, and apologized for taking their lives. I do this while in contact with the plants, touching, smelling them, observing every detail, no thoughts, just in the present moment. I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. How they already comforted me and kept me company in a time of painful insights about honesty, commitment, and staying true to myself. I thank them again for their wisdom and gifts, viva Santa Maria, viva Planta Maestra, may the mother of all beings give us healing and protection. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. A couple more weeks and we will have the final cured and dried weight. More photos and movies will follow, this is where we are so far!! Big hug, lots of love and take care! ***UPDATE*** The final weigh-in is ready. I hadn't seen them in a week, because of my vacation. The humidifier I set up, had failed. So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! Guessed weights in the competition: - @hashy : 0 grams - @MrHyde : 198 grams - @JamMAKEcan : 224 grams - @TrickOrTrip : 260 grams - @Greeneysgrow: 312.5 grams - @Ohey_fu_kyu: 350 grams - @Puffs4Pipes: 385 grams - @Hempkid : 605 grams - @DoDrugs420 : 621 grams TrickorTrip was closest!! Summary: Cost of setup: 850 euro Cost of nutrients and soil: 125 euro Cost of seeds: None they were cloned Cost of power: 150 euros in the power bill Total cost: 1125,-- for setup and this run. I smoke for medical reasons and it's used for ritual and healing purposes, never to be sold, as it loses its magical properties. Should I have to buy Gelato of this quality at the dispensary that I frequent, it would cost me at least € 15,-- per gram. 246 x 15 = 3690 euros. also, 49 car rides of 25 miles there and back, 250 euros in gas saved. Some of plants doesnt look happy, I can see some deficiency signs and in the other hand there are some excess signs too. I think Ill flush them and start over again this time triple checking everything. Hoping by the end of this week to see a decent bit of vegative growth. I also had a boost in growth after sprouting but has slowed down decently. Plants leaves started drooping down and one edge of leaf turned a lighter green, leaves also look wrinkled, but don’t feel dry. I was advised it was nothing to be concerned of but I want other opinions. Also started a little LST today 2/15/24

Simply put I am so very pleased with the way this plant has performed my only worry is how to properly dry and cure this magnificent specimen

Last watered on dec 10; I eased up on the LST angle on the Larry OG. She’s looking a lot better than a couple of weeks ago. Although growth has been stunted substantially, I’ll try to nurse her back to the best of my abilities; We’ll see if the coffee grounds cause nitrogen toxicity, or if it pays off; The bud sites on the Mandarin Cookies have grown at least an 1 1/2in in the last week and seem to be doing well, There’s some very faint tip yellowing on the new growth so I think I’ll water with some plain ph’ed tap water and perhaps some molasses;

All in all super stoked yall! I’ll update final weight after cure.

The grow went well I didn't feed right I messed up on ph for a while but she grew she smells great she did better than I would have thought with how bad I did personally and I am gonna be happily smoking for a while.

Week 6 Flower This week the girls' feed has been decreased considerably as they no longer need a high feeding. Everything apart from FloraBloom has been stopped in order to give her a proper flush (apart from microbes and sugars). With the Pineapple Kush I fed a little bit of floramicro too, but it's high in N so it took a little longer to flush. I want my plants to be as faded as possible within 2 weeks. If I feel it's necessary I'll take them further to get a better flush. Both Twins are looking fantastic. It's hard to believe that these two were not only twins, but were both mutants with not much hope of survival on their own. Twin1 was a mutant that couldn't grow its second node, and Twin2 was the smallest of the two twin seedlings meaning she had almost 0 chance of surviving without being carefully seperated (she also had minor mutant growth). Many people say the weaker one will be dominated so they don't bother to seperate them. But if you ask me, I couldn't tell you at this point which plant would be classed as the "weaker plant". I have no regrets in doing so and think I have two very worthy keeper pheno's of this strain. Next week we start flush! 💦 Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

Finally got my buddy to come out and add in a 20 amp outlet so I can fire up a better light. Still using quantum boards but with a 4500k spectrum. Got in a foliar with the Growzyme from green buzz liquids. Fed them right before I took the pics they look a little sad but hopefully they bounce back quickly. Not much else going on. preflower on Day 33

Its day 61 currently, i’ve given her the last feed and will start the flush now, even though she’s discarded most of her leaves already and is using up the remaining nutrients in the remaining leaves on her own. Most of the pisitls have started turning orangey-brown so harvest is right around the corner, and i dont have a loupe for looking at trichomes but i’ll be taking macro pictures using my phone’s camera and will harvest as soon as i start seeing a few turning amber. There isn’t enough detail in the pics to know if the trichomes are transparent or milky, but its easier to see the amber ones, so thats how i’ll proceed. This week they really grew a lot. They put more weight on at the bud sites and have grown a little tall! That's ok I placed the grow bulb up on the top along with stretching the tent out with a bottle to relieve some room for the plant to grow. I can't believe how tall she's got! They continue to love to eat and drink plenty of water! The plant on the right had grown it's roots out of the grow bag so it killed those roots and then went into re-veg. The plant is now starting to grow again and developing areas around the bud sites. I've amended the soil with organic amendments which were earth worm castings, languinite, and seabird guano. I also feed with the General Hydroponics two to three times a week with a day of water in between sometimes I do two. Then I usually amend with organic amendments or organic compost if needed. All in all they're doing great and are heading towards being a beautiful tasty flower for me to smoke! LoL
