UPDATE : Very aggressive defoliation was needed, (Week 4 day 27 ) room is only 3x5and was very full My goal is having a grow that is easy to maintain with Nice big passages UPDATE: They are showing no damage from the defoliation. The Canopy is growing back quite fast , alot easier to deal with but next grow probably only go with 4 plants , 2 white widows , 2 blueberrys. I haven’t decided lst or top , SUGGESTIONS???? Die eine Purple Coockie Kush befindet sich jetzt in Blütewoche 1 bei 400 Watt Lichtleistung, während sich die Schwester bei 20 Watt Lichtleistung eher stagnierenden Wachstum langweilig ist. Sie wird in baldiger Zeit gekrümmte Blätter aufweisen. Aus Erfahrung ist dort auch wieder acht zu geben auf die Blätter in Stammnähe, denn durch das Kringeln der Blätter ist die Gefahr groß, dass schnell wo Schimmel entstehen kann wo keine Luft zirkulieren kann. Ansonsten machen beide einen tollen Eindruck. Da kein Sonnenlicht mehr gegeben ist und es daher auch nicht mehr ganz so warm wird (LED Lampe) wird der Bedarf von CalMag höher sein und wird dem Gießwasser angepasst. Solangsam ist es dann auch soweit. Ab morgen geht es dann für die beiden im Blüte Zelt an das Autopot System inkl. Ggf. auch die re veg. Wir hoffen den richtigen Rhythmus zu finden und freuen uns auf die kommenden Wochen. This weeks update is just basically a photo/video dump! At the start of the week I did some lst and a tiny bit of defoliating and the growth just seemed to burst, I noticed they seemed to began to flower! So I went ahead and introduced the net to the set up and the I’m stoked with the way they filled this tent right out!! These cream manderin are truly fast growing buds. I also started adding Big Buds Liquid to the feeding schedule and so far, so good. At this point I’ll just be uploading photos every Tuesday/Wednesday 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Aug 3: still going strong starting the third week of flowering. I’m putting her in the garage at 9 pm, doing the 730 nm far red light to put plant into dark mode 2 h faster, and then out of garage at 7 am. So 10+ 2 h is 12 h dark and 14 h daylight or a 26 h day. The far red light definitely works as a bloom booster and helps the plants finish faster when the sun is stronger. Did morning foliar spray of Extreme Blend and potassium silicate. Aug 4: always some defoliation to be done and I took out all the small stuff that was growing into the centre. If I had a longer season I could have left some of these small branches but I want the energy directed toward the prime bud sites. Also removing leaves makes it more stable in the wind. Yet another growing trade-off. Aug 5: she looks great coming out of the dark garage this morning. Lots of colas with lots of buds 👍👍 Aug 6: added UV lights from AC Infinity. This far north we run out of strong sunlight before it gets too cold in the fall. By adding UV lights, this will make Edmonton in September seem like California in July. Along with genetics, UV light is the main factor controlling trichome and THC production. Adding UV light for a couple of hours per day centred at peak sun (currently 1:39 pm) should help a lot this far north. At the other end of the light spectrum, I use Forever Green Indoor (FGI) 730 nm far red light. This is the third season using the far red light as a bloom booster and it definitely works. A few seconds at dusk is all it takes to put the plant into dark mode two hours faster, and is like getting a 26 h day. Bud ripen earlier and therefore under stronger sun. Both of these lights are low power LED used for a few hours (UV) or just a few seconds (far red). Gotta love science and technology when it allows us to figure this kind of out.

Start of WK3 day 17 of flower. As you can see the sour diesel has not stretched past the others. I just bought a new light (SE4500) and been hanging it about 30 inches from the canopy and this has def influenced this stretch. The northern lights is my favorite structure so far, really tight nodes and are going to form some nice colas. The Grandaddy purp I think has the most uniform canopy and feel its gonna fill out nicely. Top dressed on 3-16 with Gaia green power bloom and all purpose along with some worm castings

In our experience, this encourages a quicker transition into flower, sometimes with denser stacking and better resin development down the line. The trade-off? Slightly less daily photosynthesis, but with the right lighting power and nutrition, it more than balances out. ⸻ Nutrient Shift – From Start to Top As we flip into flower, we’ve also transitioned our nutrient formula to support the shift in energy: • Removed: • Aptus Start Booster – previously used to support early-stage root development and vegetative vigor. • Introduced: • Aptus Top Booster – same application rate (0.25 ml/L), but designed to stimulate early flower development, improve transition timing, and lay the groundwork for bloom stacking. We noticed this week that she's growing much faster and the side branches too. See the difference between the pictures April 18th - Topping view and April 20th- Topping view, and how much the side branches had grown.
