🌱 Folder 10B | Guava Auto Week 2 – The Elegant Sister Begins to Stretch Welcome back to another week of the 8×8 Adventure, where every phenotype receives its own individual diary, allowing us to appreciate the subtle differences that make each plant unique. Meet Frosted Guava Auto 10B. Although she shares exactly the same genetics, growing medium, feeding schedule and environmental conditions as her sister, she has already chosen her own path. Where Plant A remained exceptionally compact, Plant B immediately showed a little more ambition toward vertical growth. Not excessive. Not uncontrolled. Simply a slightly more open architecture that gives her a graceful appearance while still maintaining excellent structural balance. This is exactly why pheno hunting is so rewarding. Even sisters have their own personalities. ⸻ 🌿 Growing Conditions Every plant in this project grows under identical controlled conditions, allowing the genetics—not environmental differences—to shape each phenotype. Weekly Feeding * Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L * Power Roots — 1 ml/L * Pure Zym — 1 ml/L * Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L * pH Plus — when required * Lemon Kick — when required The goal remains to encourage strong root development while supporting healthy vegetative growth before flowering begins to accelerate. Healthy roots today become heavy flowers tomorrow. ⸻ 🌱 Plant Development Watching these two sisters side by side has been one of the highlights of this week. From the first few days after transplant it became obvious that Plant B was expressing a different growth pattern. Her internodal spacing is just a little wider. The central stem continues extending steadily while producing beautifully symmetrical branches from every node. She still remains compact compared with many autoflowers, but there is a noticeable elegance to her overall structure. Rather than forming one dense cluster of leaves, she naturally creates a slightly more open canopy that allows light to penetrate deeper into the plant. The result is a structure that feels balanced, relaxed and incredibly healthy. Every photograph taken this week reflects that quiet confidence. ⸻ 🌿 Training Progress As with her sister, this week focused on gentle canopy management rather than aggressive manipulation. Leaf tucking became part of the daily routine, exposing developing secondary branches and improving airflow throughout the centre of the plant. A small amount of low-stress training encouraged the side branches to begin catching up with the main stem while preserving the plant’s naturally elegant architecture. One thing quickly became apparent. This phenotype almost seems to cooperate with the training. She opens naturally. She responds quickly. She seems eager to build multiple flowering sites without needing much encouragement. Sometimes a plant simply tells you how she wants to grow. The best growers know when to listen. ⸻ 📸 Behind This Week’s Photos The photographs beautifully capture the difference between the two Guava sisters. Early in the week, the camera highlights a strong central leader with perfectly healthy new growth and vibrant colour. As the days pass, the overhead images reveal a wonderfully symmetrical arrangement of fan leaves, creating an almost star-shaped canopy. The close-up macro shots show vigorous new shoots emerging confidently from each node, while the side profile demonstrates her slightly taller, more graceful posture compared with Plant A. She isn’t trying to become oversized. She’s simply expressing a little more vertical elegance while maintaining excellent balance. The camera tells that story perfectly. ⸻ 🌱 Looking Ahead Next week should become particularly interesting. With every new node, Plant B is creating more opportunities for lateral branching while continuing her gentle upward growth. As low-stress training progresses, I expect those side branches to begin forming a beautifully even canopy capable of supporting numerous flowering sites. Her slightly longer internodes may ultimately provide excellent light penetration during flower, reducing congestion while still maintaining impressive bud density. She may not look identical to her sister. But that’s exactly what makes her special. Two sisters. Two personalities. Struggled with slow growth and nutrient burn on 2/4. Found the Coco ph at 7.5, watered with 5.5 and it's now testing around 6.5! They are happy and growth speed has definitely picked up. All have been topped atleast once and Lst on 3/4 so far.

Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days. I am very excited to see how the new growroom will work and how this Blue cheese Auto from Royal queen seeds will turn out. The girls grow like crazy, i have to defoliate about 20 leafs a day. Nr 2 is 76 cm tall now, i wonder when she slows down?. Made a time laps of the girls first 28 days.

We got roots, I had a brief PM scare but it ended up being just a salt buildup from spraying the clones with light GH nutrients.

All 3 plants get transplanted into their new pots (12+12+7.5), applied topping technique to all of them. On the transplantation day, they were looking unhappy with their leaves drooping but day by day they're getting better. I've positioned the pots to get approximately 750-820 μmol per plant.

Day 29 - Everything’s looking good! The Sour Stompers look so different because of training and genetics (runt). Day 30 - Looking better than last time! Day 31 - Watered 1.5L each at 6.5pH Day 32 - 4AM1 has the most developed buds so far but Sour Stomper 1 is already putting on some light frost! Day 35 - Fed

Still no pistols so she is still in vegging. Giving her 5 ml of grow big and 2.5 tiger bloom and 2 of big bud (fox farm)

- July 1 - Day 22 - Today she was pruned; some leaves were removed, and possibly some branches were cut - July 4 - Day 25 - LST readjusted. - July 6 - Day 27 - only checked humidity and temperature

Two of the seedlings were showing some really marked chlorosis. A little odd, because all 4 buckets should be the same mix, but... I checked the EC of all the buckets and they were consistent. pH was a smidge high on those two, so I dropped it from about 5.8 to closer to 5.4/5.5. After a couple of days, I decided to just remix those two buckets. I didn't want to spend a lot of time trying to fiddle with a nutrient deficiency with autos. After a couple of days the meristem areas were coming in green again, so hopefully it's fixed! The other two plants looked fine. Edit: Immediately after writing this entry, I was like "Oooh, it's nute burn." so I dumped 1/2 of the reservoirs and replaced with filtered water to get the ppm down. pHed it to 5.5 again, and we'll see!

The final Week, before harvest! She has some massive towering buds! 2.5 gallons of water is lasting this plant 5-6 days before drying out, and ready for more.. She was harvested instead of being watered!

I had to harvest early I want to start another grow faster

Strawberry Cadillac – STRNG Seeds W17 F8 3/1-7 This week I flushed all plants. The Cadillacs are getting past ripe (mostly the top buds) based on trichome pics last week. They received a total of 3 gallons of water with a flushing agent. Hopefully it will be enough to remove excess nutrients since it matured so fast, it caught me off guard. These gals spread out and overshadowed the other plants even shading her lower buds during this grow. I had to move Cadillac 1 out of the tent to water the others. The buds got tangled in the other plants and often bent broke off. That’s another reason why I don’t like huge plants in general: entanglement, touching the walls and crowding each other. My husband did a wet trim on both Strawberry Cadillacs for el choppo this weekend. I put them in the garage at 67.4f and 75%rh vs in the closet at 76f & 59%rh. I chose cooler temperatures for a slower dry. From moving her and the trim, I have a few oopsies to try before it’s dried and cured. These Cadillacs are very sticky and required over 4 hours to trim and multiple alcohol cleaning of the scissors. Flawless Finish 8ml/g 3/1 269ppm, 69.7F 6.56 1.5g 3/2 .5 g 3/4 296ppm 67.6F 6.67ph 1g 3/5 defoliate wet trim and take trichome pics. Stay green, growers love 💚🌿 💫Natrona💫

Everything is still going well overall. I’ve always had an issue with a Cal/Mag deficiency that I had to monitor for some of the plants. Otherwise, they’re swelling nicely — the Green Poison is starting to look really good and is showing signs of maturity, earlier than the others. I’m starting the flush on all the plants since I’ve fed them well during the grow, and I think they still have enough nutrients left in their systems. The smell is very strong, and the buds are dense and resinous — it’s looking promising.. I’m going to start applying my stress technique on the plants by inserting screws into the stems and using a small scalpel to remove some bark along the trunks, in order to push the resin production even further.

Whats up GD !!! ------------- GROWTH------------- They keep growing without problems, but added more micro vita and microbes are eating nutrients too fast, but does not matter as tomorrow im transplanting both plants. I hope taller cheese can eat more, as you can see, lower leaves are yellowing a bit. Wether is not good... cloudy days.. Started the training season !!! :) Used threads to bend the plants. You have to check the roots !! This combination works flawless.. They are more stinky this week, when you touch a plant smells like lemon skunky notes ... ------------- IRRIGATION------------- Watered both ladies, around 0.2-0.3l each one with nutrients. ------------- NUTRIENTS------------- Deeper underground (2ml/l) + Bio-Grow (2ml/l) + Micro Vita. Last feeding gave last wk ive just been given them rain water, and green tea 4 days ago just to give some antioxidants, i gave 1 and a half litres of plain cooled kettle water to each pot today, no more water now until harvest 4 days for Mimosa x Orange Punch to be harvested, and 8 to 10 days on the kush n cookies CBD, and on the Funky Skunk, i getting good results on every grow the last year and a half, im 💯grateful 🙏🍀 Biscotti mintz, and water mellon Zkittles from @Barney's Farm.com coming up in march 2023.

Hey guys, allot happened this week. Mid week on Wednesday I did a major heavy defoliation, she was very bush and allot of internode growth. I clean up everything and allowed more light pen. Also nipped any undesired off growths. Shaping how I want the plant to grow. Basically lollipoping. As you can see I also started to install 4x 1/2 bamboo sticks to help support the plant once she gets bigger. I had problems last year late into flower and don't want to repeat same mistake. I also amended the pots with 70/30 ratio of 444 to 284 @ 2tbs/gal. Iv only water once in the past 7 days with the Aquabak. Not enough data to review the product. We will see. Other than that we have had plentiful thunderstorms and have not required to water. Thanks to the felt pots, they did not get flooded with the amount of rain we got. Prolly 50-100mm worth of rain.
