👸🏼**Grow Report by Zuppler - Week 2 Flowering Phase** 👸🏼 Aye yo, Zuppler checkin' in with the week 2 update from the garden. We deep in this flower stage now, and the ladies are flexin' heavy. We hittin' ‘em with that monkey formula from Advanced Nutrients – you know, that real fire mix – and it’s got them lookin' strong as a pitbull on steroids, no lie. We runnin’ on straight osmosis water too, keepin’ it clean as a whistle, no extra BS in the mix. pH game locked down, always in that sweet spot, and the girls are drinkin' it up like a hot summer day down in Miami. Roots be spreadin' out nice, no signs of stress, they lovin' the setup. Buds are startin’ to stack up, slow but sure. Ain't much frost yet, but I can already tell we about to be drippin' soon. Nodes are tight like a fresh taper fade, and internodes ain’t stretchin’ too wild – just the way we like it. Them leaves stay green as a gator's hide – no burn, no spots, just straight up healthy growth. They dancin' under the lights like it’s a party, and with that 12/12 cycle locked in, the energy’s flowin’ like good vibes at a block party. Everything solid so far, no issues. Yo, we keep it patient, ‘cause this the marathon, not a sprint. Week 3 comin' up, and that’s when we expect to see them trichomes really startin’ to come through. Absolutely amazed at the growth over the last week. Gave the plants their first (tiny) nute feed at 10 days old, 50% of recommended amounts. No problems with temp after lowering light. GG has the tallest and shortest plants, CC are all way more consistent in size and shape. All plants bar baby GG are on third set of "5" leaves. Keen to start LST soon, will probably top GG1 at around day 21, and play rest by ear.

The fourth week of flowering has come to an end, and the plants are now fully focused on building flowers. The bud sites continue to develop steadily, and the first noticeable layer of trichomes is beginning to cover the buds. On some plants, the resin production has become so vigorous that even the fan leaves are starting to develop a visible coating of frost—a promising sign of what's to come in the weeks ahead. The slight yellowing on the taller plants has not improved yet. As a precaution, I raised the light by another 5 cm to reduce the intensity at the top of the canopy. Over the next few days, I'll monitor their response closely and adjust further if necessary. Aside from the mild yellowing, the plants appear healthy and continue to produce dense, increasingly frosty flowers. I also carried out a small amount of selective defoliation throughout the week, removing only the occasional large fan leaf that was shading developing bud sites. This time, I took a very conservative approach, avoiding unnecessary stress and allowing the plants to direct their energy toward flower production. The biggest challenge this week was the ongoing heatwave. Fortunately, my air conditioning unit kept the tent temperature below 29°C. While that is a little warmer than I would ideally like during mid-flowering, it remains well within an acceptable range and doesn't appear to be affecting the plants negatively. With the garden settling into its rhythm, patience becomes the most important tool. The flowers are becoming noticeably frostier each day, and the unique characteristics of each cultivar are beginning to emerge. Now I'm just hoping the heatwave passes soon so the weather returns to normal and the plants can finish this stage under more comfortable conditions.

Smelling really nice

For my first trial run with Grand Cru Genetics, I’m definitely impressed. This strain shows great potential for flavor lovers and will be interesting to run again in the future. With a little more care and training, she could have achieved more, but she stood in the far corner of the tent and was difficult to reach. Drying takes place in our Dryomat; delivery of the Dryrocket has been delayed. According to my information, it will not arrive until October...perfect for winter growing. Photos are wet buds. I am trying a new format for the weekly summary portion of my diary. Let me know what ya'll think! 👃 AROMA: Her aroma is fairly strong for this stage of flower. Blueberry dankness all the way! I look forward to experiencing the evolution of her terpine profile. One of my favorite aspects of growing cannabis is how much these plants change from start to finish and how much variation is possible with this plant. ❇️ BUD STRUCTURE: She is stacking on big round mounds of calyxes and looks like she is going to have large dense buds! 🎨 Color: She is a lighter almost an olive shade of green, right now. Her bright white pistils have a distinctive yellow hue to them. 🌿 STEM, STRETCH, & INTERNODES: She stretched more than I had expected. She has thick stems and relatively tight internodal growth. She definitely looks Indica in her bud structure. ✂️ TRAINING/PRUNING: I have continued selective defoliation as needed to avoid crowding herself and her neighbors. I remove no more than 25% of foliage at any one time, and usually closer 10-15%. I space out defoliation with a minimum of 3 days between sessions, in most instances. There will be exceptions to that, but this is a good rule of thumb I try to adhere to. She has been trained to have 6 main shoots and I am using LST techniques to gently bend her stems to evenly fill her space without overcrowding. ❄️TRICHOMES/RESIN PRODUCTION: Her buds are already starting to sparkle amd glisten. It looks like she will be a good resin producer! 🚿 WATER/FEED: I have continued with a light bidiurnal misting of White Dutch Clover cover crop . This in conjunction with running lower temps (New AC) has seemed to have drastically increased feeding intervals. My plants are needing much less water than in previous runs. I typically give the whole SOG one feed per week with light watering of select individual cultivars as needed between feeds. I try my best to "read" my garden. The amount of water between feeds depends on how soon the next feed will be. I feed the garden as a whole and this run I have been generally spacing feeds out 5-7 days or until the the first plant shows beginning signs of wilt (slight droop of lower fan leaves). 📝 OBSERVATION/NOTES: She doesnt appear to have any signs of deficiency or toxicity. No indications of stress, disease, or pests. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. The last plant harvested in early August is a White Truffle by Zamnesia. ** We remind all users that we grow two plants per strain, one worked with specific techniques and the other left to grow freely; this was mainlined. In this case, three with a clone too. Look into diaries to find out. Description // This plant was simply left to grow freely and trimmed. The flowers plumped up very well, but it was my fault, and my fault alone, that I was forced to change locations and was unable to install air conditioning, which will always be present in future grows and used when necessary. The plant is very good; it could have finished the flower formation better and resin production could have been a bit more, although given the temperatures we finished at, it's actually good. Trichomes and maturation // This time we needed to harvest due to a change of location, and we harvested a bit quickly, with the pistils at about 70-80%. For trichomes, look at the other plant, the mainlined one. This was an real easy plant to grow in my opinion. She didn't like to much nutrients. in week 4 i raised up the EC level to 1.4 and that was a bit to much for her had a little bit of tip burn and did go back to 1.0 EC. She was doing fine after that. after week 5 i slowly raised it up to max 1.4. She was a Strong plant with a few big side stalks and they are all very strong, i never had to have her supported, after week 6 you could really see she gained weight in her buds and she was looking great. Some nice buds with orange hairs in the end! In this grow i wanted to see what happened if i didn't defoiliate at all, but in her case i better had opened her up and gave the buds more light. I think then all buds had grown bigger. Next time i'm doing a lot more defoliation to compare. But that being said i think it is a beatifull plant with amazing buds and she smelled amazing. For one thing she is a bit hard to trim, i did first a quick haircut and removed all the big fan leaves, Then let her dry. It was a bit of a struggle to cut all the dry leaves between the hazy bud structure. Overal i think Dutch Passion has another great strain delivered and i can recommend it to everyone mostly because this is very strong and taste is awesome.
