How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Everything is coming along quite nicely. They have slowed down in growth now it is time to fill out. Still feeding fish 3x daily. They have developed a pretty strong smell

Day 71: I'm afraid she is foxtailing, maybe due to the high temperatures of the last few days, was impossible managing to maintain the temperatures stables in growing environment. I'm going to water her more often to reduce stress. Day 72: watered with PHD water Day 74: she looks like she is still in full flowering, watered with PHD water. Day 75: she is foxtailing, today I saw more mature pistils than white. Checked the trichomes, looks like she is almost ready. Day 77: watered with PHD water

Another week in and this girl from Ganja Farmer is just going crazy. Can't get near her to get good pics until harvest time., but you will then see the true size of these flowers. Cycle nutrients are working good. Have been keeping the ongoing feed at 5.8 ph and the ec at 800. Runoff values are at 940 ppm and the ph has maintained itself at 6.2. Cyclo says to keep the ph from 5.5 to 5.8 in bloom, was kind of skeptical but kept it at 5.8 anyways. Guess they were correct. Thanks for the looks and like to all you growers out there. Week 27 - 1 week til harvest She's so pretty! The colas are really swelling up and looking nice. The weather forecast is looking good for the next days after that we'll get some heavy rains and storms. The wind is already strong but due to my radical defoliation, she's unaffected. Again looks near enough done so now need to think of a plan of action for curing as tent will be occupied for at least another month. So I think that's it with the problems 🤣 .. Another solid week in the books, and the last one UKBS 2 will spend in the tent. Today I intended to start hardening the selected plants that will go outside, but when watering UKBS 2 I found it was growing roots out the bottom of the pot and into it's drain tray. So, I had to replant it into the 15gal and will be taking it in and out of the back door until the weather's nice enough overnight to just leave it out. The Carl plant I had taken out to harden was very pissed off with me for doing so, and perked up near-immediately when I took it back in. It's too bad it doesn't like the outside as it's going to be spending a good amount of time there. I treated with diatomaceous earth in an attempt to not bring any unwanted insects into the tent. Both UKBS 2 and Carl 2 will be going in and out every day for approximately the next month while temperatures improve. Inside the tent, UKBS 1 seems very happy to finally have some light. UKBS 2 was very large and encroaching inside there, and blocked nearly all of its light. More updates will come throughout the week, as always. -4/17/2021 - Noticed a small hole at the main stem near the top node on UKBS 2. FBA2502 Plants 1-6 Week 7 May 11– 17 FLOWER 3 Nutrients : Micro 25 ml Gro 10 ml Bloom 30ml CalMag 30 ml Recharge 10ml Green sensation 16.5ml Power buds 7.5 ml 5/11 PH 6.56, PPM 1560, temp 69 2ltr each 5/12 PH 6.31, PPM 1120, temp 68 1 ltr each 5/14 PH 6.66, PPM 1280, temp 70 1 ltr each 5/15 PH 6.66, PPM 850, temp 72 1 ltr each 5/11 Defoliation, feed, pics & videos I made 4 gallons, used 3 to water then poured the runoff back into the rest in the bucket. The next feeding, I added a gallon of tap water to residual and ph to 6,31 temp 69 & PPm 1120. Did the same on 5/14 and 15 using up the remainder of the feed solution. I must monitor and control the tent environment manually. For the past month, the humidifier has been an issue putting out way too much humidity; often leaving water in the bottom of the tent. In addition, the temperatures are also out of control. I added an AC last week to keep the temperature below 80. I finally determined the exhaust vent is also broken and has been for some time. I have been giving good reviews on the AC infinity system. However, during the time I’ve owned this tent (2 yrs), I had to replace the lights twice, fans, humidifier and now the vent twice also. Everything but the tent containment has been replaced. AC infinity does stand by their products, but they are in California, and it takes at least 2 weeks to receive the replacement. This is extremely frustrating at the critical transition to flower for my equipment to fail again. For the time being until a replacement arrives, I pulled the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3 and hooked it up. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This should create a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. I do have 3 circulating fans in the tent to move air around the plants. It looks like growth spurts have slowed and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All of them (6) are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. The tallest #4 &5 and #6 have very light leaves and appear nutrient deficient compared to the shorter phenotypes. Pictures taken later in the week show fading on a few the older leaves. All are receiving the same solution and are in the same soil blend. Moving the gals in and out of the tent for their glamor shots, I bent one limb and snapped another. The bent one I taped with a splint and the snapped one I medicated manuka honey and wired it back to the main stalk. Leaves look like sativa leaning. I hope FBA2502-2 is a good daytime. I’m getting excited to see what develops in the next month or so. News Break: I’ve been informed that 2502 is FastBuds New Frostbanger and is indica for nighttime. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get a sativa to test because I really need a daytime strain. The 2 Blue Cheese plants I just grew are also nighttime. Upon opening the tent, a faint odor was detected, and some stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. Pictures of the puffy buds even show differences. #4 &5 buds hairs are different from the others being crinklier and the others are straighter. Some like #2 &5 are showing frost on the leaves. Wow at the beginning of flower to have that much frost. They are living up to the new strain’s name. I’ve noticed that when I water, sometimes water shoots out of the side holes I the air pots. 'Sup Growmies, hope everyone's crop is doing great! Buds! flowering has started and the first bud sites have established, my canopy is pretty even, and I am pretty happy with her at the moment, I cannot wait to see how these flowers develop! The tent smells amazing, I cannot place the smell, its not your typical early flower weed smell, most of the normal green growth chlorophyll smell is already dying down. My time-lapse camera broke, so i'll have to figure out something new because I really liked watching them grow. also added some extra shots of the canopy in the video, which is probably what I'll do next week as I find a solution. I also want another bucket, outside of the tent, acting as reservoir, I think next week I am going to turn this DWC into a 1 bucket RDWC, for easier access and more importantly better temperature control. Plus, this plant drinks way too much, I can't keep up, even with this massive 33 Litre mayonnaise bucket, I'll add a picture of what I have in mind.. Next week I am starting Green sensation, its a finisher, which will give this girl access to some much needed PK for those pretty flowers. So I definitely fucked up this week and missed some crucial water times. I passively knew in the back of my mind to but I was just having busy and stressful days.

This week there was a substantial amount of rain and it was very muggy and humid...We are about to have a potential 2-week heatwave of over 90 degrees so I'm expecting some retarded growth since growth slows down in intense heat. But I must also say that I am curious to see what the unknown is because it is outperforming the rest of the plants and it was one of the smaller ones from the beginning..🤷 we shall see!!
