Week 9 Flower Report: The Countdown to Harvest Begins! 🌼✨ As the ninth week of flower unfolds, the room is a symphony of colors and frosty brilliance—a true gardener’s dream! But as we approach the final stretch, it’s a delicate dance of vigilance and care to ensure a clean and bountiful harvest. Here’s a deep dive into this exciting and educational week: The “Flush” in Full Swing The flush continues as we prepare the ladies for their final days. While we’re a week or so away from harvest, the plants are responding beautifully, showcasing stunning fades that highlight their unique genetics. This fading process is a critical part of the journey, helping the plants naturally finish their cycle while preserving those complex terpene profiles we all love. The Mold Incident: A Teachable Moment This week brought a challenge—a few buds succumbed to bud rot (Botrytis), particularly on the Papaya Zoap and a single bud from the Gorilla Melon. While disheartening, it’s a reminder that mold can occur even in the most well-maintained gardens, especially with dense colas and a full canopy. After a thorough inspection, all affected buds were removed and discarded to prevent the spread. A quick note to all growers: defoliation plays a massive role in airflow and prevention of such issues. This is why mid-flower defoliation is a game-changer, and I’m grateful it kept the rest of the garden healthy! Papaya Zoap’s Unique Quirks The Papaya Zoap continues to be a star of the show with its frosty buds and… albino tips! These tiny white tips are likely from being too close to the lights. While it’s a cosmetic detail that doesn’t affect quality, it’s a fascinating display of how genetics and environment interact. A Frost-Filled Wonderland The room is absolutely glistening with frost. Trichomes are piling up like snow, giving the entire garden a magical wintery appearance. I genuinely believe the ThinkGrow LEDs and TrolMaster spectrum control deserve a shoutout here. Running deep red, far red, and UV at 100%, combined with whites at 50%, is delivering incredible results. The ability to fine-tune the spectrum is a game-changer for resin production and terpene enhancement. Nutrient & Soil Rundown On the nutrient side, the solution measures: • pH: 6.67 • TDS (Reservoir): 65 ppm • Solution Temp: 18.3°C Soil stats show a TDS of 695 ppm, indicating there’s still some nutrient reserve left in the medium—a perfect transition into the flush phase. Le 41e jour avec mes précieuses plantes se déroule en douceur. Je remarque un léger jaunissement sur quelques feuilles, peut-être le début de la floraison, un besoin d'azote, ou simplement un processus naturel. Pour remédier à cela, je vais leur offrir un peu d'azote et observer les résultats avec attention. En parallèle, j'ajuste progressivement les niveaux de phosphore et de potassium, veillant à éviter les excès qui ont pu survenir par le passé. Well she made it another week and tbh I think I'll go about two more days with her in dim light. She got another coating of terps a few days ago and she looks ready🧐😍😍😍

Room setup rundown, examples of bud, et al in pictures... Seedlings/Clones lights - Viparspectra XS1500. Vege lights - Mars Hydro FC-4800 Flower Lights - 650w 3400K 1900umol/s PAR, (3) 226w DIY 2900K 630umol/s PAR (678w and 1890umol/s), Substrate - 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite in 5-gallon pots Climate Control - Luckily, the lights, winter and normal furnace use all equate to a decent temperature, though a bit on colder side in in vege phase, sadly. Humidifier is needed early and later a dehumidifier is needed when canopy develops. I only grow in the winter months. Irrigation - do not use the emitters in this diary. They suck a big fat dick to skip a line to suck a bigger dick. They come in different shapes, too. Basic process The little light takes care of seedlings in 2.5" wide seedling pots until first up-pot. The 1-gallon pots fit well under the FC4800 in a 4x4 tent until day 21 after sprout. I plant 150% or more of what i need, so i can kill the weak without concern. The goal is for every plant that makes it to the 5-gallon up-pot being capable of producing a minimum of 160 grams with a maximum of a 35-40 day vegetative phase. Third up-pot is into 5-gallon nursery pots and now under the 3 DIY lights and the 650W light in the big tent for a couple more weeks of vege. An irrigation system in the big tent saves a lot of time. One scrog for training and another for support, just in case. Reverting back to a more systematic approach to canopy composition moving forward. About 2.3 colas per sq ft and 8 primary colas per plant. Yields were similar when over-crowding and being less systematic, but the proportion of less dense nugs is greater and trim time is needlessly elevated because of that fact. I was very controlling about this the first couple years but got away from it for far too long at this point. Drying / Curing - Into mesh racks for 9 days. I wet trim and cut down to similarly sized buds for even drying. Temps are controlled around 68F and RH is set to 60%. Then into some 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids and (3) 2-way 67g boveda humidipaks (58% or 62%) in each bucket - 1 at bottom, 2 at top. Temp/RH probe confirms that they hold the RH steady at 60-63%. Cost - 0.33 cents (USD) per gram produced. This includes an accelerated depreciation expense for all equipment used, fertilizer, water, electricity for all equipment used, new filters and other yearly purchases - bti, ph strips, sticky traps, etc. I'm a finance guy, so these numbers are comprehensively accurate and purposely err slightly on high side of cost. The only facet not included is the cost of my labor.

Ramping up the EC continued. 1.2 for this week. It is increasingly hungry though so I need to find the balance for how much to ramp. I'd rather go a bit too low than too high though so taking it slow. Flowers have appeared and are slowly starting to develop. A subtle and very delicious smell is starting to develop. Also since last week they've been drinking a lot more obviously. Been giving around a liter a day each. Once a week a lot less to dry them out. Did some LST again as I wanted them to cover more surface. Lets see how next week goes.

The purple lemonade is getting some beautiful sticky fat dank buds and the gorilla cookies is flowering nicely the node spacing is super close so i will be looking at some super dence fat sticky buds the smell is amazing i cant wait to have a joint with the two strains combined in it .

Using the toilet with a 16 watt led new veg station the kings kush failed so av got Orange sherbet n do si dos 33 germination planted last night in peat pellet better Fukin sprout 🌱 av been flushing over past week and gave a good n proper flush today I will leave them in the tent for maybe two weeks ten days to try get the best results a can get a took one down early wasent dried properly but of a waste to be honest but was still about 2 oz dry and av left some foliage n a couple of buds so I can see if it will start growing new leaves am in no rush a just want tae see it so week ten days on twelve n twelve then am Goni fill the tent ⛺️ and put a scrog in prepare for things to get messy as I will hav 5 different strains and monster cropped clones so this should be interesting stay tuned @chedderbob112

Week 1

16.2. - Entering new week, which is the last one for the 4 plants I flushed already. Everything is looking fine and I'm excited to harvest ✂️ 19.2. - So tomorrow is one of the big days. I've decided to harvest few of my plants as they look ready to me ❤️ I've also added some close-ups of the beautiful frosty, fat and smelly buds ✌️ 20.2. - One Creamatic and one Fritter harvested ✂️ I've decided that others still have some time left to mature. 22.2. - Week wrap-up: Two plants harvested and drying, another two getting ready and others are still growing. I'm getting worried about the Gelato plant as it started yellowing and buds are not developing much. 16.2. - 22.2.2024

Week 2 of flower for Space Panda Shes showing some signs of starting to stretch. Pheno 2 is still in veg but will be putting her to flower next week, if i feel like shes healthy enough.

25. 7. Plants are still under the sun 😎 i cut 4 of 6 main branch. Buds looking supreme/ milky trichomes, but with some white pistils ( maybe fox tails). 29.7. I put dry buds into paper bag for week and than into the jar 💪 i cut down all plants ❤️

This was a fun plant to grow. The trichome production was amazing and the last couple weeks she really packed on the weight. The trichomes changed from clear to milky to amber a lot quicker than I anticipated. However I had started my flush 2 weeks prior so everything seems to be top notch. I water cured a small amount and the high is GREAT!

Quality strain but my buds could have been denser/chunkier, growers error, my first LST and I stressed her into flower too early

Really struggling this week I've stopped using bio bloom today 17/9 and swapped to plain water shes not taking as much water now and the humidity is off the charts i may fix it before I have a problem she looks good in general tho I don't think I've done too much harm

Solo cup challenge continues to press along. Not much change, plants are in veg, growing and healthy. Still a few weeks before the flowers start so I hope to get a bit of size going before it does. GMO × Triangle Mints BX – Week 17 Veg What a week. Heat got properly intense — day temps hit 35°C with nights staying warm around 18°C. Combined with how much she's pulling in water at this size, EC got reduced across the board for all the outdoor plants — one of the autos started showing tip burn, so better to back off slightly everywhere than risk pushing her into the same territory. Aqua Vega down to 3ml/l, CalMag Agent steady at 1.1ml/l, Regulator at 0.1ml/l, EC now reading 1.2 mS/cm. pH holding at 6.2. Watering volume has jumped massively — 25L per feed now. At 140cm and in this heat she's pulling everything she possibly can. Did another light defoliation pass to manage the density now that she's this size — clearing a few of the bigger fan leaves to keep airflow moving through the canopy during the heat, since stagnant air and high temps together are the fastest route to problems. Structure-wise she's genuinely turning into a monster. Multiple thick main stems, wide even canopy, dark healthy colour throughout despite the stress of the last week. Give her another couple of weeks at this rate and she's going to be something else. Updates every Sunday. Stay tuned. 🌿
