Trying to increase light now that they're all healthier again, without burning away the pretty blue color they're developing. Gave them their late-flower defoliation, will wait until finishing to cut all the leaves off. Still doubling calmag and buildabloom. buildabloom has epsom in it it turns out, so I'll stop doubling the calmag when I use it. Gonna water one more time and feed one more time. I dont think its a matter of flushing or not, I just dont think itll continue to uptake much.

Back to the 1000 wt as temps here are modest for July atm. Still 1 plant not flowering like the other 2. I will be patient as it’s overall structure looks amazing. Slowly easing into the process not as much anxiety about every little thing. Changed my light out for my lower power 600 wt led instead of the 1000wt TMLAPY. Maybe not the right move i really don't know what to do b/c i have tip burn and my tent gets a bit hot in the low 80s when its in the 90s here in Illinois. I have an makeshift cooler w fan and some fans and my exhaust fan system which im pretty sure is under powered and overall and bad beginner purchase. I will upgrade as soon as i can financially afford to. Also had flooding issues in basement which is always an adventure, i eventually need a better way to get my grow tent up off the ground b/c water does get in there sometimes. Doing everything in my power to avoid mold and have fans and filters and cleaning, but again this may have been a beginner mistake and i may have to find a new home for the tent for the next time. Also I definitely had been under watering the girls and came close to one of them dying and have to remove some yellow leaves at bottom, they all look stable now. 1 out of 3 plants has a darker color and looks fuller and healthier w less tip burn but it is shorter only has a couple of hairs where the other 2 are going full on into flowering with so many hairs and growing much taller. Possibly stunted the growth... Anyway the word of the day for this week is TIP BURN. I will submit a question to follow. i recently uploaded a video that should show all 3 plants w the tip burn.

Vegetation Week 3: Steady Gains, Environmental Harmony & the Art of Boring Update: 30.03.2025 What’s up, my Growmies? Week 3 with the Blueberry and Durban Poison was blissfully… ordinary. No drama, no breakthroughs—just the quiet hum of plants doing their thing. Here’s the low-key recap! Current Observations: Subtle Wins Leaf Development: The first true fan leaves are finally unfurling—wider, darker green, and more serrated. My Blueberry lady is slightly ahead of my Durban Poison babe! Stem Thickness: Those once-spindly stems now feel sturdy and stable, thanks to their exposure to light winds. Environment Report: Stability Wins The weather’s been a steady 10–16°C with occasional clouds. Plants are now outdoors soaking up direct light as long as possible (still bringing them in at night—better safe than sorry with these chilly temps!). The "Boring" Philosophy No news is good news! This week’s mantra: Don’t fix what isn’t broken. Watering Rhythm: Sticking to plain pH’d water (~6.3) only when the pots feel light. No overthinking, no overwatering. No Nutes Yet: Biobizz Light Mix is still feeding them plenty. No rush to disrupt the balance. Future Prep: Laying Groundwork Topping Plans: I’m planning to top them next week for the first time! I’ll decide spontaneously if the girls look stable enough, but I’m leaning toward waiting until Node 5 to minimize stress. Slow and steady wins the race—no stunting allowed! Week 3 Takeaway: Slow, stable growth means the plants are content. Sometimes, boring is beautiful. Until next time: Stay grounded, stay growing… and stay blazing! – Smoking_Joe_Frazier

My second growroom is built and the girls have moved in. This new strain combines two well-received parents, Juanita la Lagrimosa (Spanish for "Juanita the Tearful") and Royal Highness, which are themselves genetic hybrids of other precursor strains: Juanita the Tearful from Queen Mother and a Mexican-Afghan blend; Royal Highness from Dance Hall and Respect 13. On and on the strains date back in agricultural time, each new variety with its own unique smell, taste, color, high and medical benefit. However, in the past decade, a goal of all this tinkering has been what some producers are starting to call “Royal Respect” with the soul of marijuana's benefits going toward both body and mind. Painkiller XL is notable for its near-equal representation of 6 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and 7 percent cannabidiol (CBD), achieved by a seed that's 70 percent sativa and 30 percent indica. While the sativa variety of cannabis is widely known for producing more of a mental, cerebral high, and indica has a reputation for contributing more toward its physical high, other factors are more important to consider: THC is the compound given most of the credit for that head high, with CBD takes the credit for marijuana's many proven medicinal benefits, which range vastly from relieving pain, anxiety, migraines, fibromyalgia and even mad cow disease to easing many of the most deleterious symptoms of AIDS, diabetes, epilepsy and Parkinson's disease. These are just a handful of the dozens of ailments marijuana is being prescribed to combat by doctors across the globe and in more than a dozen U.S. states. Cooperatives at medical marijuana dispensaries have been at the forefront of providing CBD-rich cannabis buds and oils for their patients, who undoubtedly appreciate being able to purchase the strain best-suited to ease their particular ailments. This new strain joins others rich in both CBD and THC like Euphoria, Royal Medic, Medical Mass and Danceworld that seek to actually not necessarily downplay cannabis' psychoactive effects in favor of optimizing its healing role, but instead equalize the two. According to the California-based Steep Hill Cannabis Analysis Laboratory, this equalization brings to the cannabis user not just the physically healing aspects, but also the spiritually and psychologically healing benefits as well. There are other strains with very little THC and more CBD than Painkiller XL , but rare are such splendid balances. Producers of this strain say it produces a considerable amount of pain relief, with a mild, relieving mental euphoria. With a flowering time of eight weeks, the Painkiller XL seed can produce 525 to 575 grams per plant indoors. Inside, the dried yield is 400 to 450 grams per plant. Inside, the plants average in height at about 31.5 inche (80 cm); outside, the average height is about 53 inches (135 cm), with harvest time at the end of September. THC: 9% CBD: 9% Yield Indoor: 500-550gr m2 Yield Outdoor: 500-550 grams per plant dried Height Indoor: 60 - 100 cm Height Outdoor: 120 - 150 cm Flowering time: 8 weeks Harvest month: Late September Genetic background: Juanita la Lagrimosa x Royal Highness Type Sativa: 75%; Indica: 25% Effect: Physical, clear high. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Week 19 Day 7 Now I definetly have realized the importance of right pH-level, my old pH-meter clearly didn't work. The new pH-meter showed 8.1 in my regular tapwater, way too high. So now the buds has started to grow again, they were purple earlier and now since she got water and nutes with right pH-level, the buds are turning back to green. And I also added some more nutes to her menu, 2018-02-03 Added some pics of the grow room after I cleaned the floor and putting the girls back in, and also added a video of the reality of a grower having some problems with too high pH-level. Since I'm still a novice growing cannabis I learn new things everyday, and hopefully the next round will be more or less perfect - perfection needs practice.

So, this week I cut phosphorous intake in half, and did a small cleanup job, removing some leaves. Plants look really healthy, except I would've expected they showed nitrogen deficiency signs since then, which suggest soil might be keeping some nutrients. Not sure if that's good or bad (certainly not a real issue tho). I started to flush yesterday; we'll see how it goes for the next few days. I already see a few amber trichomes, so harvest is either for end of week or next one. I'll have to travel a few days next week-end, so I try to sequence everything the best I can :) Also, I just heard about stem splitting, which doesn't seem to be a common technique among us; I'm not planning to do this to my plants (at least not yet), but I'd like to have your opinion on that; anyone tried ? What gives ? See you next week friends !

There are some yellowing on the leafs, hope it's because I am overfeeding them. Will try to feed every other watering this week. Buds are getting bigger and more colorful, have no clue how much longer is left, hopefully 2-3 more weeks.
