At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. All the plants are building buds. Gave them a little beastie bloomz. I cut them off the maxigro today since the leaf tips are burning. Other than that everything is going smooth.

Super easy week, just watering the ladies when they need it. Still concerned about the humidity so I’m going to start using my dehumidifier outside of the tent. I’ll monitor the humidity each day and set my humidifier on a schedule based upon the data collected. Soon I’ll be adding in another layer of netting to help support the branches and space them out more for better airflow and a more “sea of green” look. I usually vegetate for longer but I wanted to see if I could shorten my grow times and produce about the same results. Time will tell!

Early harvest because mold

Getting closer to harvest every day. In fact, had to start early with Grace, as all of her leaves turned yellow and the trichomes are starting to cloud up. Decided to try the top bud harvest method and allow the smaller buds on the lower portions of the plant to develop more. Read somewhere that it'll allow me to reap an additional 25-50% more flower.

The hardest part of growing, is the time for harvest... I didn't do the norm, no 12/12 I do 10/14.. Do I harvest? I flushed her out, its only week 6 of flower, and I feel like there is plenty of time for these babies to bulk up... things are on cruise control, moon mintz is a 9 week flowering plant. She is looking absolutely BEAUTIFUL. This whole grow, except the hermie... has been a blessing. I love this plant, seeing my efforts going into these huge buds is very very amazing.

Posting this as I’m on the last few days of the 3rd week from germination Great progress, a lot of roots for such a short period but not too much plant growth, will start watering daily instead of watering every 2-3 days Topped the girls today (Day 18 from germ) and starting to do mainline on all the Bubba kush.

I was still seeing strange things happen in the leaves but runoff pH was staying at around 6.5. One plant toppled over and started growing up from a bent stalk like an herb. I started looking for a new reflector so that I could mount my light horizontally instead of vertically to save space and ideally find a way to get the plants closer to the light without burning them. I started looking into MH bulbs as well as I figured at this point I clearly hadn't provided the light they needed. If I wanted them to thrive I needed to set them up properly for the last few weeks of veg. I transplanted this week into slightly bigger coco pots but in retrospect I feel I should have gone up to 3 gallon pots at this point.

Yoooo :) The ladies are slowly eating what's left in the leaves. They got a dose of Final Solution and now only water. The harvest will be a little earlier due to mold problems. So Ugly Genetics, little plant that go in flowering at two weeks. 1/3 Seeds come out, GrowShop near home so bad quality articles. Microscopic root develop... do not use "eazy plug" as a seed's first pot... don't trasplant autoflowering strain. From 60 grams wet, 12 grams dry ...

In love with all of my 5 plants of black cherry punch but this one is one of the most beautiful ones, 100% purple flowers, very dense and awesome fruity sweet smell love it!

Banana Jelly has a very nice bushy shape, she responds good to LST and doesn't stretch a lot when turned into flowering. Good resistance as we performed some HST and even during flowering defoliations, no sign of stress or delays in growth. The bid smell is almost like nuts, fresh almonds with a sweet but slightly gassy background, a true gem to explore. We will definitely repeat this one!!!
