04/09 - Started minor defoliation. Shes getting too bushy and blocking bud sites and causing moisture spots. Will remove a couple of leaves every other day for the next week. 05/09 - Full res change. Realised I mucked up the ratio. Went 35ml Micro, 25ml grow, (Shouldve been the other way around, so added an extra 10ml grow), 15ml Bloom and 15ml Silica. EC 1.4, PH 5.7. Will keep an eye on her and add some additional grow if she does alright. 06/09 - Minor defoliation. Removed about 12 leaves total so far. LST to spread the canopy a little more. PH stable at 5.8, EC at 1.4, Water level dropping. Seems to be stretching and pistils have begun to form! Responding well to the uptick in nutes from the res change. 07/09 - Leaf tucking, LST and took a leaf or two. Shes getting her stretch on for sure. PH stable at 5.8, EC stable at 1.4. Water level still dropping. 09/09 - After much deliberation, I ended up going for a fairly heavy defoliation session and am now going to leave her the hell alone until at least mid flower. I removed a large chunk of shaded leaves and bud sites and effectively ended up lollipopping her. I also removed all the old LST, and added a couple to pull leaves out of the way. The canopy remains largely unchanged, but shes much more airy now, and Im seeing far fewer damp spots where leaf perspiration has occured. Now to see if I can keep my hands off for a few weeks!

Week 8 for Strawberry Gorilla by fastbuds Don't notice much growth to be honest think its due to this plant being in a darkish shed because we've had super strong rain storms pretty much the whole week... Which really isnt ideal at this point😓But seems like the rain is over now LETS HOPE! She was fed once this week with some FPJ, Regulator, Enzym+ & Topbooster by @aptus_portugal right at the start of the week. Humidity has been so high that the pots still seem very heavy. I was thinking she would be done in 2ish weeks but seems like it may take its full life cycle to get her done.

📆 Week 3, 5-11 May 2024 5-11 May - Seedling continues to grow out of its deformity (see pictures and video). 📑 This seedling appears to be coming around. Maybe she will be just fine for the rest of this grow. Added yellow sticky fly traps to all cubes as a preventative measure to avoid infestation of fungus gnats. So far none have been spotted. Defoliated and did a little more LST to all the plants to open up the center and give more light to lower shoots. Blue Dream 3 and Chemdawg 3 started showing some discoloration on the leaves (yellowing around the veins) and also the leaf tips curling down. Did some research and came up with this... Possible diagnosis: - Yellowing around leaf veins could be a sign of Magnesium or Iron deficiency - Leaf tip curling down could be a sign of Nitrogen Toxicity. - Both could be caused by improper ph balance in water Possible solutions: - Applied Botanicare CalMag+ as a foliar feed and added some to the reservoir. CalMag+ contains Calcium, Magnesium and Iron. - Diluted nutrients in reservoir to lower amount of nitrogen being fed to plants. Was feeding them at 1300ppm, lowered it to 1050ppm - Tested runoff and saw it was coming out at 5.4pH so I increased the pH in the reservoir to 6.0. Now the runnoff is testing at 5.7pH, meaning that my rootzone is in the optimal range of 5.5-5.8 Well wait and see how the plants react to these slight tweaks. Hopefully we start to see a nice healthy even green again.

Day 44-21/05/22 everything is looking good I might take them out tomorrow do some light defoliation and move them about abit not sure yet!!!! . Day 47-24/05/22 they look real good today!!!!

Update of the garden

OK, so we started the 6th week and the plant is showing some growing signals. It's impressive how a plant that looks really bad, can actually keep growing and developing itself. This week I've started to see some development on bud zone/spot, and I believe that even making some mistakes ate the beginning, I'll be able to taste some buds from this little girl.

02.10.2022 - 56 days since my little girl sprouted from seeds🌱 Fourth week of flowering of my BCN Power Plant 🌴🌴🌻 Nutrients: Jungle Indabox - I serve the same as last week Advanced Nutrientiens - Bud Candy - carbohydrates for my plants 🍭🍭 Building Stimulators 🌼🌼🌼: Jungle Indabox Environ X Advanced Nutrientiens - Big Bud - I applied this week for the last time ATAMI - ATA CALMAG - When growing under LED lights it is recommended to use Calmag and Atami is an excellent brand The plants tolerate the nutrients well, some of the lower leaves showed slight signs of burning, they turned a little yellow and the tips of the leaves were brown 🍃🍃 Therefore, I will continue to use only one Bud Stimulator and that - Jungle Indabox Environ X, I will leave Big Bud from Advanced Nutrientiens for other plants. 8 weeks / 56 days today. Growth has slowed down a lot this week luckily. Smell is getting really hard to contain now. Sticky orange buds still nowhere near as big as purple skunk but definitely a bit fatter than last week. Purple skunk buds are getting a lot fatter. Both are really sticky to the touch, looking a bit frosty close up and can see plenty of trichomes. Little bit of leaf burn but not a lot I can do because of the space issue so just tucking the branches and leaves as best I can and moving the lights around a bit to minimise it. Watering between 1 and 1.5 litres every other day and they are soaking it all up. Increased to 3ml per litre of nutrients too. Humidity has been a lot easier to keep under control this week and hasn’t risen above 60 all week so I am happy with that. it’s been a worry for a few weeks. I had a real panic this week when I thought I saw seed sacks forming at the base of each branch. But after hours and hours of reading, I am pretty sure they’re calyxes. No intentional defoliation this week but I’ve accidentally snapped a couple of fan leaves whilst watering. I really need a bigger tent! Would love opinions on when you all think they might be ready for the chop. Comparing to other diaries I still think I’ve probably got another 6+ weeks but I’m daring to think about how/where I’m going to dry them out. I’m pretty sure purple skunk will be ready first so drying in the tent will be a no go.

overall girls are doing good it seems like the small one has stopped gaining mass and converted all energy to the trichomes the bigger one is gaining bigger and bigger.. so great times!

Fed GH 3 part with Terpinator in flower and some recharge occasionally.

Au#1 will recieve a little curing method for her dried look: ill let her dry out just a bit and then give her just water for once. Should solve the issue, besides that: bloom madness as always (my grow guru told me that blooming phase is always a hassle)

Got a shit ton of tops I love it. Gave her a trim a few days ago. This update is day 45 from seed. There are lots of pistils popping out everywhere.

Added a video of transplanting with 2 solo cup method! This week transplanted the girls into 2 gallon pots. I usually go straight from these to there final home. Sometimes do 2 more transplants if growing fast and bigger then expected
