Fo' Twenny Back with another update on our "Grandaddy Purple" from Blimburn Seeds! 8/24: I did some selective defoliation to help increase light penetration. Next watering will be a flush with 2 tsp/gal of Fox Farm's flush agent SledgeHammer. A flush is recommended after week 3 in the Fox Farm Feeding chart. I figure the recommended flush will do some good considering I have a lot of coco in the mix and there are small amounts of salt fertilizer in my schedule. She is really starting to do some stretching and she has an abundance of growing shoots. She has a few leaves that look textured or "crinkled". I tried doing some searches and not sure if this is due to a virus or some other factor. She is center in the tent and the only plant being grown in a fabric pot. She has also been vegging longer than any of the other plants in the garden. She was a survivor from previous run when I almost killed all my plants (did kill one) trying to kill so spider mites. This is the only plant presenting these abnormalities. I gave a lot of detail about the abnormal leaves because I am hoping someone may be able to help me troubleshoot. 8/28: Flushed the medium with tap H2O run through 2 KDF filters with 2 tsp/gal of Fox Farm Sledgehammer flushing agent and pH adjusted to 6.2. I started by giving 5 gallons. After checking the PPM of the runoff I ended up adding 5 more gallons mixed to same specifications. 10 gallons total was shared by 3 large flowering photoperiod cultivars and 1 smaller autoflower. She probably ended up with about 3 gallons give or take. I didn't measure how much each plant received. I just kept flushing each and checking runoff until it was under 1600 ppm. Today is day 45 from germination and day 15 of flower. I am not sure if it's a 8 week strain or it may go a bit longer however the bud development I am thinking seems slow if indde she is an 8 week strain. I guess this is where I look at tric's and hairs to see when she is ready. So I will continue to feed in hopes of bigger denser nuggs.

Hello Growmies, I'm excited to report that the main plant is flourishing! She looks incredibly lush and healthy. I'm delighted with her progress so far. The lower shoots, especially since the topping, have started to catch up nicely. I'm confident they'll reach the scrog by the time I flip her into flower next week. Currently, she isn't stretching enough for further training, but I anticipate this will change with the upcoming flip. I've also done some defoliation on the lower parts and removed a few less favorable side shoots to promote healthier growth. The other two plants are coming along in their one-liter pots, although I suspect they're nearing the limit of their root space. It's going to be interesting to see how they adapt as they transition into the flowering stage. End of week 2 flower. I moved her into the larger grow space & she is HAPPY!!! Stacking up nicely and taking over the new space. She smells wonderful.

Hello everyone , Here is the phase of completed stretch, and the fertilizer fertilizer contribution are 100%, flowering starts very well and the appearance of the first pistil are visible everywhere. For the height of the plants I find it reasonable and thus keeping all this world a good size the luminous penetration will be excellent ... until now hene no sign of problem for my plants I think that the flowering will follow its rhythm .. to see in the coming weeks ... now place to photos ...

Still no flowers, foliar calmag, silicate, proroots. Still problems with Calcium. Matterhorn is unstable genetics!

Having cal mag issues going to hit the grow store tomorrow am and see can I get some organic cal mag and see if that helps other than that no real issues 2/24 I’m going sit my dumb ass down and chill I did a defoliation and man I over did it I think it’s pretty aggressive and i don’t know what I was thinking I was just clipping away 🤦🏾‍♂️…… anyway got some calmag for the color issues only going 1/2 tsp see how that goes hopefully when the new growth and more stretch happens it’ll look a lot better I’m also bottom feeding the calmag hope that works too

Pretty happy with the outcome so far. This style of growing will not yield the the most or greatest stuff due to all the stress but it's for the looks. And this girl looked awesome. Very happy with this grow and looking forward to doing something else. Think I will do a photo period next so I have more control. Thanks for following!!

This week I top dressed, as it had been about a month since the last one. 7.7.25: 💚 2 Cups Worm Castings 💚 1 Cup Canna Coco 💚 1 Cup Perlite *I use this as my base for the top dressing, adding the dry amendments to this so as not to burn the plants, by evenly distributing a slower release feed. Thanks to the Worm Castings. Dry Amendments 🧡 1 TBS Ecothrive Charge 🧡 1 TBS Ecothrive Life Cycle 🧡 1 TBS Ground Cinnamon I watered this in with 2ltrs PH'd to 6.4 containing the following nutrients; 💜 1/4 TSP Ecothrive Biosys 💜 3ml Ecothrive Trace PH: 6.4 PPM: 377. She has a very short bushy structure to her, and we aren't gaining much height yet. I haven't had a plant like this before, so we'll see what happens. On the next day, 8.7.25, I topped the plant. previous watering was fed with liquid nutrients, my temperatures are not low so the nutrients come slowly with some intervals giving only water without much runoff occurring a mixture of soil and mycorrhizae for better performance i know i needed calcium and magnesium good the problem was money, i will continue with epsom salt the option i have direct sulfur in the soil has helped me hear a visible change. water ph 6.2 solution temperature 20 ° - 0.50 g of great white mycorrhiza 2 days earlier were sprayed with water without ppm via leaves - lights off to serve as a cooling shower in the heat is great for stomata . Simple led panel added as main light source 260watts being divided to 3 plants in the fullspectro tent model, did not get much difference in temperatures compared to HPS, is more the same spectro ratio and UV to reach more directly in the trichomes and terpenes. Large leaves, like a true sativa even if they are long, go in equally straight and thin shape, trichomes with glands larger than their sister, but this one in front really does not hear physical stress from something just high temperature training, but are very resistant To this, I imagine later on taking this same genetics at favorable temperatures and hydro. A strong smell that I will have to turn to buy a filter, I can not with curious and malicious neighbors need to really contain the smell.

8/28: She's my last CC bean out of the original 7 that I received. (only ordered 5). I will not be ordering any more of them, but it is really good bud, so I figured why not.. I had 2 out of 3 seeds germinate last grow, and only 1 out of 4 this time....if they hadn't sent me the two freebies I might not have even been successful at all last time... I will FIM this one to try and increase the yield a little... She's in the 5gal tall black plastic pot with the white zip-tie loops on both sides.

This plant was a dream to grow, wish I'd taken cuts. Halfway through dry at 7 days. Drying at 55 - 60 % RH and 17 - 19 degrees C. I anticipate she'll be done between 10 - 14 days total dry time and I'll then trim and update weights on this Harvest. 133.75g total after trim. She's a nice smoke, very happy.

Day 51, 4th of November 2020: The 3rd day since the lamp switched to be 12/12. I raised up the nutrition intake as it can be seen above only the BioBizz family 2ml/l and removed some LST because the plants remain in shape or just set a bit but nothing significant.... They look good and strech is on the way..... Nothing really to report there is crazy 2-3 weeks from now ;)
