Another week of step increases. I changed out the led light for a MH on Tuesday 10/09. I set the MH light at 200 watts 10 inches away to start with. On Wednesday I watered the girls at 6pm until slight runoff. On Thursday 10/11 I added a floor fan that oscillates to get air movement below the plants. I also increased the MH light to 300 watts and moved the light to 12 inches away from the plants. After the light increase I started to have a huge dip in humidity. I added water to the plant saucers in the tent to bring it up. Its getting better but still not where I want it. I will be monitoring this. Saturday 10/13 I turned up the light to 400watts at 7 pm and increased the light distance to 15inches. Its keeping the temp right around 80f without having to increase fans or any other adjustments. I also did the hand test and it was hot but it was warm so I believe it is in the sweet spot. I watered them again today until runoff. I can't believe the wingspan they already have. Looks like I'll be moving them to 5 gallons way sooner than I thought,

72 grams of dried and semi-cured creamy buds. smooth smoke already despite the need to drop humidity below 59% fully. not much larf surprisingly but will be fun to see how much hash each strain gets considering others in the tent had way more. Harvest: somewhat early, but solid nugs and yield - easy trimming and quick to dry compared to other leafy varieties terps: creamy dough mostly with hint of sweet cinnamon sugar vanilla - just like the pack says, but still not impressed really Drama about these seeds: got store credit on the pack of 3 seeds just because of website change to outdoor only after purchase date. excited to grow other HSC strains next year.

Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying safe. Another great week for the ladies, as they are now about 3 weeks into flower, and the stretch has just finished. I am still feeding them silica, cal mag, and flower nutrients maxi bloom by GHE. I did start to add a PK booster this week pushing the EC up to 1.4. I also will be switched the light from V1 to the F1 Spectrum at the beginning of this week, and will be integrating the UV/IR bar into the light cycle later this week. I will run the UV/IR bar for approximately 30 minutes prior to lights off to get started. The tallest plants are the Sundae Driver and the Durban Nights at 42" and the Red Hot Cookies is the shortest plant at 38" however they all look happy and healthy and capable of easily giving up a half pound each. The 5X5 is really starting to fill up nicely, I am running two dehumidifiers outside of the tent and I am able to maintain around 50% RH in the tent during lights on, and around 55% RH with lights off. We did get an unexpected heat wave this weekend and it has been a struggle keeping the heat and humidity down but the flowers are just starting so no need to worry about mold or anything like that yet. As soon as this heat wave is over the temps should be good to go the rest of the way this is by far the best time of year to be flowering plants in my region. I did defoliate twice this week and I may do one or two more rounds before just letting them do their thing. Not much to do from here on out except make sure the reservoir is full and the PH is in the proper range. Let’s dive into the details! Environmental Updates: A Chill in the Air 🌬️ This week, temperatures in the grow room dipped to around 21-22°C, with relative humidity (RH) holding steady at 65%. While not drastic, this slight chill is enough to slow down growth a bit as the plants adapt. Cooler temps can encourage tighter node spacing, but they can also delay development slightly. Here’s how we’re addressing it: Proactive Monitoring: Keeping a close eye on temperature and RH trends to ensure they remain within optimal ranges. Gradual Adjustments: Slowly warming the environment with indirect heat sources if necessary, without shocking the plants. Remember, plants are incredibly resilient—and this slight delay will only make the Croco girls’ eventual growth even more rewarding. Feeding Updates: All in One Pellets & Organic Boost 🌾 This week marked a significant milestone: I introduced Aptus Holland’s All in One Pellets to the soil mix. Here’s how it went down: Preparation: Added a generous dose of the pellets to each pot. Soil Enrichment: Topped the pots with Pro Mix soil, bringing the total soil volume to 1 liter per plant. Feeding Transition: While I did one last watering with All in One Liquid, I’ll now rely primarily on: Regulator (0.15ml/L): To support stress resistance and strengthen cell walls. CalMag Boost (0.25ml/L): For calcium and magnesium supplementation, essential for strong stems and vibrant growth. Start Booster (0.25ml/L): To continue promoting robust root development. The combination of organic pellets and the Aptus liquid lineup ensures the girls have everything they need for a slow, steady nutrient release while maintaining microbial activity in the soil. Watering Technique: Bottom-Up Hydration 💧 This week, I switched to bottom-watering, a game-changer in preventing fungus gnats and promoting healthier root development. How It Works: Water is added to the tray, allowing the soil to wick moisture upwards through capillary action. Advantages: Reduces surface moisture, deterring gnats from laying eggs. Encourages roots to grow deeper as they seek water, resulting in a stronger root system. To further combat gnats, I’ve also placed yellow sticky traps around the pots. This dual strategy—bottom-watering and sticky traps—is already showing promising results. Mutant Marvels: The Funky Leaf Phenomenon 🍃 Each Croco girl is a masterpiece of mutation, with unique leaf shapes and growth patterns. No two plants are alike, and that individuality is part of what makes this grow so exciting. I’m patiently waiting for them to grow large enough to identify their sex. Here’s the plan moving forward: Option 1: Flip to 12/12 Temporarily: A one-week light flip to identify sex, then returning to veg. Pros: Fast and straightforward. Cons: Slight delay in veg growth. Option 2: Clone & Flip: Take cuttings from each plant, root them, and flip the clones to flower. Pros: Preserves the main plants in veg. Cons: Requires additional space and time for cloning. I’ll decide based on how the girls progress over the next week or two. Either way, I’m excited to unlock their potential. Photography: Capturing the Magic 📸 This week, I focused on showcasing the Croco girls’ beauty through a mix of macro photography and behind-the-scenes shots. Using both my Sony and Nikon cameras, I’ve been able to capture intricate details—from water droplet reflections to the delicate veining in their leaves. Why Use a DSLR/Mirrorless Camera? Greater sensor size allows for higher-quality images compared to even the latest smartphones. The ability to swap lenses provides flexibility for macro shots, wide angles, and close-ups. Depth of field and manual focus control ensure every shot is intentional and artistic. Lens Choices: Macro lenses (e.g., 90mm) for close-ups of leaf textures and water droplets. Standard lenses (e.g., 50mm) for portrait-style plant shots. While phone cameras like the latest iPhone can take great photos, they can’t quite match the level of detail, depth, and creative control a dedicated camera offers. My ELUFAH UAP 1500 test grow is showing excellent results, with the plant thriving under my care. The addition of the ELUFAH Saturn Ring under canopy light has been a game-changer, significantly boosting growth. It's clear that the supplemental lighting is providing the plants with the extra energy they need for robust development and impressive yields.

One of them is showing calcium deficiency but I will add some calmag from Biobizz and hope it will solve the problem. I live in a very humid area and its raining all the time so it's very hard to maintain a low humidity level. I follow a VPD table (vapor pressure deficit) and with the 25º C and 55% RH its a good indicator for flower. Feel free to ask anything! :D

Beginning flush, its actually week 12 I think. Missed 2 week's to the flu. The girl's went through some rough patches but not looking to bad considering my issues with LED lost two weeks of prime flowering, had to substitute CFL's for 2 weeks

11/03/18 Everything is going well. No issues at all. Plucking a leaf here n there but no real defoilation. Between the Black Magic Soil, and AACT this run has been smooth sailing no deficiencies or leaf damage at all. Humidity still cranked up to make up for the lack of humidity in veg. Will reduce over the next few weeks. 11/05/18 Decided to defoilate today. The plants always look sad to me and I feel bad. They always recover though and come back better then ever!

Topped Gelato #1 twice on different stems on days 52 & 56, Gelato #2 on day 56 Started feeding 4ml Foliage-Pro & a dose of Zyme on day 54. Color & health seems to be back on track.

General —— Plant is doing fine. Had no issues this week and the devlopment looks solid. Hope she will stretch a bit more in the next week so that the fems can use the trellis once they are far enough. Nutes —— Gave her Bio PK 5-8 for one time which was a harsh feeding as I mixed it with all the other nutrients. Other than that I'm watering 1.5L of Water every 3 days with CalMag and Horsetail Extract. A bit of nutrient burn on the lower leaves but nothing to worry about Light —— Bumped light from 120W and 30cm distance to 210W and 40cm distance by end of this week. DLI is around 40 at the moment. Defoliation —— Removed some leaves in the middle so that everything gets light. Also removed some leaves from the bottom which were shaded. Will remove branches that don’t make it end of Week 6

I am very satisfied with this plant, despite accidents along the way, it has given good results! GG

Number 2 pheno might herm on me so I have to watch but I have limited plants and I really want to keep these genetics so I need atleast one female. Number 3 the mutant stopped growing before I topped, or maybe not stopped but it threw out pistils at the apical meristem and not producing leaves so I topped to see if I could promote side growth but it hasn't worked; I'm going to keep her around just for the fun of it. 4 is my hope of producing female and a good clone.
