Okay so im just impulsively training this plant. Cut a hole in a 7 gal pot and transplanted. The plant got stressed out from me working it through the hole in the side of the pot. She's recovering nicely. This might be a waist of time but I enjoy spending time in the tent 😎

A great replacement strain from Barney's. If you can't find the old exodus UK cheese which is almost impossible these days, this variant gives you everything you want. Definitely keeping this strain since its such an easy plant to grow. I have two more phenos to test with a full diary already begun! Thanks Everyone! First diary done 🎉 SM

Day 82 - she's stable, and coming along nicely... feeding nutrifield grow a+b mix, + crystalic and particulates....... stable full tank is 6.5 ph and she drinks it down to 5.5 ph..... + 1800 ppm down to 1200 ppm..... (approximate..... ) (the particulates are garden variety blood bone fertilizer, just add a little sprinkle in the tank) the neuts are same, nutrified, and impressed with the results of both the base set and the whole range, crystalic is unbelievable, it brings out a beautiful deep shiny green...... 👍👍

Week 3 is here and all is going well. The girls look good, but 2 are bushier and bigger than the other two. Still on straight water this week, and slowing adding more time to the water pump and keeping an eye on things. I did my first clipping this week, and since then, they have bunched up in the middle a bit. I am going to do some lst this week, and continue to keep them growing. I am also going to be adding nutes this coming week so hopefully they really start to flourish. On the time lapse, there seems to be less up and down with the leaves and now it seems more consistent. Everything is filling up the canopy nicely so I flipped to flower (10/19/18) so they don’t get to out of control during the first couple weeks as they like to stretch. Will be doing a slight Lollipopping in the next day or 2 and will have to add a second layer of trellis either this week or next.

I’ve been adding other components such as tannins and surfactants (among others) to improve the recipe (which I won’t disclose out of respect for my research). What’s incredible is that the aromas have developed significantly—they retain their distinct edges, although the main pillar of the cross is still “mint/toothpaste/sweet.” However, the sweet notes in one phenotype are already beginning to shift toward aromas more like hops/mint/pine/resin/honey. The bulking phase is progressing well, with no nutrient burn or deficiencies. Micro-irrigation is key. Trichomes are developing as they should—some more than others due to differences in flowering time. That’s the fun of working with crosses that maintain some variability despite their similarities in an F1 generation. I’ve photographed the 7 phenotypes—the photos didn’t turn out very well, but still, enjoy.

Flower Week 4 Day 28 to 34 - 4/15 to 4/21 Seeing some purple on the leave and they are really pointing up now... They both look extremely healthy this week. I cant really say enough about the autopot system, the once a week effort is a game changer for me. Feed this week was an auto pot reservoir feed now at 750ppm total before add-ins. I used 750ppm of Bloom concentrate mix (recipe week 5). However, I also added 1ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) and ph balance this week was for 5.8 where Io plan to maintain it until harvest. Next week nutes will decrease in Bloom mix again. The signs of trichomes, pistols, and calyx are all about 3 weeks from harvest now, so feed will be 400ppm before add-ins for with 5.8ph before feeding.

Week 19 of Vegetative Growth (Transition Week – Pre-Flower Move)** This week marks an important milestone for the Pineapple Upside Down Cake: she was finally moved into the tent where she’ll spend her entire flowering phase. She’s not flipping yet — this stage is all about controlled acclimation before the real show begins. Up until now, she was growing under a 5000K blue-leaning veg light at low wattage, which kept her compact and focused on structural development. Inside the flowering tent, the lighting is completely different: a full-spectrum 3500K panel, warmer, broader, and naturally more stimulating. A spectrum switch like this can easily stress a plant, especially in late veg, so the intensity was intentionally reduced to 300 PPFD to give her a soft landing. Temperature conditions also shifted: about 21°C during the day and 17°C at night, with the light set to 25% power. It’s a cool, stable environment — ideal for a plant adjusting to a brighter and wider spectrum. The second key topic of the week was training strategy. Her growth was accelerating fast, and the debate was wide open: Should she be topped? Should we go for a scrog? Should we prune more aggressively? In the end, the most coherent choice was a clean LST session. Her main branches — roughly ten apexes — were gently bent and opened to create a wider, flatter canopy. This approach keeps stress minimal while giving her a solid architecture to handle the upcoming stretch. Over the next few days, she’ll naturally stand back up, and once she does, her true structure will become clearer. At that moment, we’ll be able to judge whether she needs extra shaping: a light defoliation, selective pruning, or even a late top if it really makes sense. For now, the plan is simple and strategic: • monitor her adaptation to the new spectrum, • watch how she reacts to the LST, • keep the environment stable, • and only move to flowering once she shows full vigor again. At the beginning of week 5 they all look a bit small and bushy to me. But let's see.. .Maybe they get a little kick and grow during the first weeks of the flowering phase, which we've now entered :) I cut a really small amount of leaves that were touching the ground on the auto bending one.And I started giving them two additional hours of light. Hope they like it. UPDATE: I had to start defoliation because the leaves were so bushy that they were getting wet in between... Hope this helps : And hope they get a little taller...
