Compost tea turned out well, let it go for 26 hours total and geared it towards fungal. Also took some soil samples several days later around the stalks and found a lot of nematodes and protozoa which is what you want to see. Lots of different types of nematodes so what your looking for are the bacterial feeders (there are charts online that show you how to identify them). Mycorrhizae can be identified by it's dark colour, uniformity and segmented nature. Testate amoebas live in a translucent shell like a snail and are easy to spot but hard to spot moving due to my shitty microscope, but look for the tentacles. Also found some eggs with movement inside, no idea what they are but they have vacuoles and flagella. She is really getting sticky and smelly now; berries with herb notes. You can see the resin stretching over the trichomes in the last pic. No signs of senescence yet so I'm not going to feed them, they should have plenty of food anyway as this is a second run of the same soil.

Big week of defoliation. Added another level of scrog as well to prevent the plants growing into the light. The medipak are sativas and are stretching like crazy. Medipak #2 in the middle back is looking like an indica with much larger fan leaves and thicker stems. Less stretch compared to medi pak #1 and #3 which are growing like crazy. #3 is gonna be a real heavy yielder...stacked! Smelling of spices and hash The indigo child are stretching much less and are a little slower in flower development. Very similar to the putang I grew previously. Usually slow to start but will pick up steam and fatten up in the last few weeks. Smells like orange soda mixed with grape candy. Has a little sour pine sol finish. Almost identical to the putang. Still one of my favs. Edit day 17. Not great but my setup lost power most of the day. It probably got into the low 50's in my tent, maybe less. I'm sure I'm gonna see some temp shock from that. Sure enough when I looked at the leaves they were a little curled. We shall see what happens. They're big plants so I'm sure they'll bounce back. Maybe lose a few days of stretch... Update day 19: Plants are recovering nicely. Starting to see some frost. Temps are back in check now as well. Update day 20: temps are good.

Flower Week 1 Day 43 - Today the tent goes from veg to flower with the new 12/12 light cycle. A feed was made up for the girls and they each drank 1.5l allowing a little run off Day 44 - Nothing happening today just allowing the girls to get used to the new schedule Day 45 - So today I noticed some clawing on the girls and darker green leaves towards the bottom. Pretty sure I overdone it on the Nitrogen so I decided to give the girls a good drink of plain tap water, a partial flush I guess. I ran 3 litres of water through each of the girls allowing for a good run off. Plan is to dilute any feed in the soil down a little? Day 46 - Took a few photos today of the leaves showing what I believe to be Nitrogen toxicity Day 47 - Nothing happening today I am just hoping the girls recover well from my over feeding. Guess this is where the learning really starts with being able to read your plants :) Day 48 - The girls were given another feed today but minus the Biobizz Grow as they hopefully still have plenty of Nitrogen to be getting on with. Each took just over 1l of feed Day 49 - End of first week of flowering. No.1 is seeing week 1 out standing 60cm tall. No.2 & No.3 ended the week at 49cm tall. I am about half way through this grow and so far all the girls are still alive. I am sure I have made multiple mistakes already but the girls seem to be very forgiving I hope everyone is well and as always thanks all for dropping in and catching up :)

44oz of plant food mix is given to 5 plants (3- Colombian Gold, 2- Grandaddy Purple). All 3 of the Alcapulco Gold plants are still receiving pH balanced water- no nutrients. They’re measuring 10” tall. Colombian Gold and Grandaddy Purple measurements range from: 12.5”-18.5”

D57 F13 - The week is off to a good start. This lady continues to bush out AND stretch at the same time! I started doing some minimal HST - just to try to keep her going as much "out" as possible, as opposed to "up." D59 F15 - Feeding every other day was just not cutting it anymore, therefore, I started feeding daily this week. There are two other plants in the tent besides this Zkittles, one Sour Diesel and one 707 Headband. So, I'm currently mixing up 12 gal. of nutes in a batch, feeding 6 gal every day - 2 gal/day per plant. Check out the ladies getting fed in the video I included above ;-) Also, I took several pics today; some of those pretty buds getting of to a good start.

22/5 just given them 20l fresh water per tray which is done (2 times a week). Feed schedule 📅 changed 2.4ml per ltr (bloom) 1.8ml per ltr (micro) 0.8ml per ltr (grow) 10ml per 20 ltr tray. (Flowerbomb) Had a problem with (smaller plants) tray. Which was too with pump luckly i have a spare so have changed them over. I have kept this tray on a pre Flower schedule now they have a better pump i believe they will pick up speed. So far so good fingers crossed 🤞 😊

I decided to skip out on the 3gal and upgraded to a 4.97 or 5gal container. The plastic is cheep and looks like it was going to break but its all the grow store had in stock at the time. Was talking to them about going from a 2gal to 3gal and how it did not do much for the plant but stress it out. They also gave me a free sample of a bokashi fertilizer, I divided that in between the two plants. It looks identical to the regular non fertilizer branded bokashi, and I feel its the same but with a mist of NPK on it or something. Plants are doing well, Dynomyco had a slighter bigger root ball upon transplant and the plant its self is a tiny bit more robust. Given all the other soil boosters and microorganisms I have added into this, I don't feel I will see the true potential of just Dynomyco vs soil nothing else added. I just can't not add the others as it feel like a massive step backwards and end of day a big healthy plant is worth it. This diary may not have massive contrast in favour of Dynomyco but I will still use it none the less and I think its helps plus its not over just yet. Week 12 looks girl #1 is coming to a end. I haven’t over fed or over watered and she’s starting to get yellow leaves. I feed her one more time at the end of this week. Starting week 13 I’m going to start to flush her. Her smell has gotten more intense this week also. She smells like sweet tropical citrus. Also she looks to be filling in more and her buds are starting to get a little dense. She definitely exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t have predicted from veg she would be this size. Girl#2 unfortunately never started flower and she’s going get 12-12 after I harvest girl #1. I’ll start another diary for girl #2 when that time comes. I knew she would be long winded but this is just extreme 😂. I know you experienced growers know this story very well, but for a rookie like me 😆 I’m pulling my hair out and punching the air with frustration 👊🤬🤯😁. This for me is a learning experience and I love the duality of this grow. I’ll know better next time I run into this time of issue. Thank you for viewing my diary.
