Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. It is this dedication to their customer base that made this company have a fanbase... Yes, a fanbase with a website and a wiki. Lineage: Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel x Sour Dubb Popularity: Extremely Popular Flavor/Aroma Profile: Chocolate, Earthy, Fuel Yield: 400 g/m2 Stress Tolerance: High resistance to disease Potency: 24% THC Flowering time: 58 - 63 days The Soil: Those who saw my Monstercropped Gelato #33 grow (you should see it if you didn't, I'm so proud of that grow), know about my super soil and organic nutrients/ permaculture tea combo that starred in my previous diary. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! Day 26: the girls are starting to smeeeelllll aloooot! They haven’t popped the hairs yet but almost there! I just want them to start stretching soon so I can use my net! They are to small for that right now but in a week maybe 😃😍 Day 28: hey last day of this week. I can’t wait to see these girls flower. I won’t train them so much more because I need a faster harvest this time. My last grow I trained them like this until week 5/6. So I will let them stretch and start using the net. I connected my autopots yesterday and everything seems to be just fine. Mars hydro SP3000 High PPFD at 2.8 umol/j, average yield at 2.5g/w, increasing your yield 50% or more compared with old blurple and HPS lights, 300 watts output. Dimmer knob added, more convenient to adjust the brightness. After 5 days of blooming I deleafed all the plants taking away all the lower level of internodes. What you see in the pictures is day 7 of flowering after the deleafing.

This grow was full of great smells, tastes, and beautiful looking buds with a harvest time of only 10 weeks. Yeah, I would have liked the buds to have came out more dense in some locations, however with such a short life cycle and exotic visuals this strain offers its a good compromise. I was surprised this strain did so well while in hydroponics given its sensitivity to nutrients, but I think the fast earlier growth DWC offers allowed it to sustain. I'm looking forward to doing this strain again with a better nitrogen scheduling and using Great White Mycorrhizae from the start to see how dense we can get these buds. These are the type of buds you can't find in a dispensary anywhere and if your lucky enough to you will be paying top dollar to walk out with them. Morning 3/24/23 - Watered with Build A Soil Bloom schedule, added 2oz Liquid Pumpkin Extract. I believe the Mimosa is bouncing back a bit. I've noticed new pistils shooting out and a slightly darker hint of green to the leaves. I purchased a 5 Gallon jug of filtered drinking water from Lowe's. I think my tap water, even air bubbled, is no bueno. Morning 3/25/23 - Watered the CherryLand a bit with pure air bubbled water. Took Photos. Morning 3/27/23 - Watered with pure air bubbled water and added 1/2 tsp Recharge. Morning 3/28/23 - Day 32 of Flower, Top Dressed with Build-A-Flower Top Dress Kit. Watered with pure air bubbled water. Used 1/3 gallon per plant. Took Photos. Morning 3/29/2023 - Watered only the Mimosa x Orange Punch with pure air bubbled water ~1/3 gallon. She felt the lightest. Morning 3/30/23 - Watered only the CherryLand and Larry's Lemon OG with pure air bubbled ~ 1/3 gallon each. They felt the lightest. I want to keep the soil from drying out and try to keep it living but also try to not over water it. I ordered an AutoPot XL 2 pot system for my next grow. I am sick of watering. I went with the 6.6 gallon plastic pots with the airbase and airdome kit. I will be growing 1 x Green House Seed Co. Cheese and 1 x Brothers Grimm Seed Co. Grimm Mints. Morning 3/29/23 - Watered only the Mimosa. She felt noticeably lighter than the other two. The Larry's Lemon OG is looking close to done. It has fattened up nicely and most of the pistils are brown. Will look at trichomes under magnification when I get a few moments to spare.

Hey Guys! Pretty satisfied this week! I have watched over the tricomes and almost all are cloudy so I started to Flush them2 days ago. My guess is 5 more days to Harvest. I’m pretty excited to smoke my First Grow!!! Really waiting is the hardest part now. The shape & Smell of pineapple 🍍 and passion fruit is killing me...so good! I’ve learned that this specific genetics reacts very well to wind stress and likes cooler temp for the best yield and odor, that’s why I’ve got a giant AC in summer for them and it really worked!!! If you’ve seen the video, I’m growing 3 more beautiful seeds, I’m gunna add a diary for themand it’s very easier than growing for the first time, but I haven’t stopped learning. In General, Im in love with growing, makes me feel ALIVE.☺️ Thanks for keeping up with my girls.

Day 28 - well it's the beginning of week 5 and I have now got the nutes finally tuned for my girls, all of them are looking gorgeous, nice green and healthy ✊ showing some great growth this week and the new growth just keeps on coming, I think another 2-3 weeks vegging and then its time to make the switch and see the stretch 😎 laughing buddhas are doing so well, considering a few were running slow at the start but they always catch up! Zkittlez OG auto at the top right is coming along nicely, currently week 4 of vegging for that girl, cookies kush at the top left is also doing well, showed some yellow leafing but managed to recover nicely. Also the HPS coverage is perfect for this tent, was using LED before which yes if far cheaper to run but I can already picture great results for these 😍 fingers crossed! Day 31 - I'm going with a sea of green and scrog method but without topping, I want these girls to grow out naturally but I can now organise the bud sites thanks to the scrog net, I will be putting the net in in week 7 if all goes well. Changed water amount to 1.25 litres, saw some nute burn so going a little easier on the nutes, will feed just Ph'd water in next feed in 2 days time. Thanks for tuning in! 😎 Day 32 - lower d the HP's light to about 60cm above to help with growth, lowered scrog net as well. Bud sites are starting to show, will organise them when ready. Switching to 12/12 on week 8. Found silver tails in Coco, must be watering too often, will let Coco dry out - not showing any damage to the plants as of yet. Hopefully drying out Coco will get rid of them.

week 3 kicked off and the flowers are really atarting to take shape! 27” tall now! the stretch is unbelievable

The first week of 12/12 light schedule is over and the stretch is on. Most of these plants are getting huge. I gave each plant a 10 gallon flush and fresh nutrients. Upped the maxibloom a little and increased the reservoir volume to 25 gallons since I won't be around to check on them this coming week. I am thinking we should have some pistils popping on the next update. Nutrients are pumping 24 hours a day. Excited to see how these start to frost over the next few weeks.

So the flowers are bigger, the smell is really in a sweet direction and the girls have now been defoliated, but unfortunately I think to see male flowers let's see what the time results 😕 dont like Problems 😡

Wow she went crazy this week! A big change from last week. Lets see how long she will keep growing! 💪

Fattening up every day and smelling amazing! Took out calmag supplementation and will start a flush next week. Starting to see a bit of senescence. She finishes at 8.5 weeks max consistently.

At the start of the week these Lemmosas got their first nutes. GONZO FARMS - GROW (as Organic as possible!) was applied as a nutrient tea, slowly poured at the base of the plant. Then, a couple days later, the light was turned up to 6, AND they got bent and tied down. By the end of WEEK 7 they got trimmed and rearranged. They are looking great as they get ready for the flowering stage in a couple of weeks. 👽

We have a very full tent! Taz’s jungle 😂🤣. Check out the purple purple photos from day 20!!! Everyone looks absolutely beautiful I’m hoping that the white critical will be ready in 4-5 weeks. She’s going to have some fat colas!

This week went great sofar just had a little fright when i saw a gaint grasshopper completely chewed of a whole bud for no reason just bit the stem right off i removed it by hand because i dont want to use pesticides .... anyway im reveging some of the clones and keeping some to spray silver and make some seeds

Ah nothing like a good stretch, Week 2 of flower after the massive transition feeding of 1800 ppm and no sign of nutrient burn so the media and nuites seem to be a winner. In the last feeding I doubled the watering, the second half was just water PH'ed to 6 for two reasons, dilute the 1800 ppm and to promote a deep watering for the roots. I let them dry out till the fan leaves started to wilt on one of the Strawberry Ice and after a deep watering of just water again this week they bounced back. I wanted to make sure the food from the last feeding is used up and also a mini flush before the next feeding for the flowering stage. I am going to go higher with the P & K % on top of recommended chart feeding. I want to play around with the numbers as a lot of growers have their own special sauce recipe. Based on these two strains they look pretty healthy, next week will be a lollipop on the bottom 1/3 to the canopy. as to promote air flow and stretch they are getting pretty thick and bushy still tucking the stems to fill out the scrog completely. The one BLUE DREAM HAZE is a different phenom by the look of it lets see how it turns out its a little shorter than her sisters, Please ;eave a comment good or bad I love to hear from you folks. 17.3.25: So I watered with 2ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 with 4ml Xpert Nutrients Cal-Mag amino acids. I have really overdone the nutrients, I got carried away 😅 To try and rectify the situation, I've cut everything out except Cal-Mag amino acids. I will try to just stick to this with some Biosys, but I'm running out of that now, too. Anyway, with Or Without, I'm sure it'll balance out. Fingers crossed 🤞

Here's my current grow I stared for this fall season. 2x Blueberry 420 auto on the left and 2x Super skunk auto on the right. Using kind soil with my previous grow soil and foxfarm ocean forest on top. Sprinkle with alfalfa seeds and crimson clovers seeds...using 2 closet case LED. Let's see how this goes.
