It’s my second run growing San Fernando Lemon kush, I had to repeat this lemony flavor. Even though I’ve already grow this before, I’m still very excited to grow it. Strain characteristics: This strain is an amazing hybrid between two great genetics. It crosses San Fernando Valley OG Kush which is what brings that lemony zest to the garden coming from the Lemon Thai which is crossed in that mix and then that’s crossed with Kosher Kush. The aroma of this strain is pure limonene it’s quite pleasant and very intense. Hints of wood, cypress, a bit of spices and a solvent scent which combines it all and just smacks you in the nose. The plant is a Indica-Sativa hybrid but it leans to the Sativa side, she’ll stretch on you quickly. This cultivar develops lots of trichomes and has a strong presence of the limonene terpene being ideal for resin extractions, from personal experience I highly recommend making some rosin out of these lovely flowers. Very tasty stuff, I might just set aside one whole plant to press. …getting ahead of myself here, still have a long way to go before I see any buds. Variety SWS62

As I’ve already grown this strain, I know what to expect so I’m hoping things will run smoother. Last time I only topped her and did a bit of LST guiding the colas. That technique was great but she stretched much more than I was expecting which gave me problems but ultimately gave me a good yield which were 82 grams. This tent is taller so I have more space to work with, let’s hope things run smooth and I can improve the quality and yield from last grow. Dropped 4 seeds but only 3 made it. One of the three sprouted 15 days later, while the other two sprouted almost over night. Well I’ve flipped the light schedule. We’re on 12/12. It’s only been 4 days and they’re definitely getting their stretch on! Let’s see what happens over the next week or so…

11/17: I fed today but didn't have time for much of a photo session. Gave them One, Signal, Sweet & Sticky, Cha Ching, and started them on LiquidSoil. 11/19: Still fattening, and beginning to frost up as well.

The 2 GSC extreme and one of the GG4 got harvested this morning Dec 20th. The rest are a week or two behind.

Hello, this is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of flowering. Things are going good in here this week. Got some canopy mites for the thrips damage I've seen on some leaves. You can see the little glass jars I used to hold the bran they come in the picture under the table. The canopy mites eat the bran mites while they are in the package. Got in here and did some LST and some fanleaf removal. I also removed the sucker branches. They take energy away from the plant. I guess when they activated the Growdiaries 2.2 I couldn't log on for 5 days and got discouraged and didn't report last week. The site didn't even work right. There was about 30 pictures when the home page was up, but all the other pages were without content. Somehow my operating system didn't get through. But they fixed it and I'm here now. Plant #1 smells wonderful, Sweet Lemon candy and I can smell the papaya in it too. OK. Have Fun. Chuck.

Hello GD Crew!!! I’m glad to finally be back with a new diary. A LOT has happened since my last diary. The large room I was using back then got infested with spider mites. For a while I thought I had them beat, but they came back with a vengeance. So I thoroughly cleaned my 2x4 tent and set it up in the opposite side of the house. However, that part of the house is also now my new man cave and was under construction until a few months ago (its still not completely done yet, but close enough). I have also switched back to LED lighting. I’m using a pair of Spider Farmer SF1000’s (100w) LED’s. I was using a 315w CMH fixture but felt I was getting better results with my old blurple ViparSpectra’s (both of which have died). Also, it was getting too hot in the tent with the CMH. To be completely honest the best weed I’ve ever grown was using a 1000w HPS, but that could possible melt a 2x4 tent and I’d be tripping circuit breakers all the time again. After a lot of research it looked like the Spider Farmer SF1000’s were the best bang for the buck in the LED market these days. They have the right components (Samsung LM301B diodes and MeanWell drivers) and have great specs. I was able to purchase them on Amazon Prime Day for $129/each (USD). For soil I’m using Coast of Main Stonington Blend Grower’s Mix. I had been previously trying to amend and reuse old soil or mix old soil 50/50 with new soil and in retrospect that was a mistake. The PH was totally unpredictable as were what nutrients were available or deficient. I felt like I was always trying to fix soil problems and one thing would lead to another. So, from now on its fresh soil in every pot. I’m using 3 gallon pots with self watering reservoirs at the bottom. In addition to the Coast of Main Stonington Blend I’m also using Sungro Black Gold Seedling Mix. I filled the 3 gallon pots with the Coast of Main Stonington Blend first, then dig out a hole in the middle about the size of a grapefruit and filled that hole with the Sungro Black Gold Seedling Mix. Then I planted the seeds about knuckle deep in the middle of the Seedling Mix. This seemed to work great, both pots had small seedlings appear in 5 days. This diary will focus primarily on FastBuds BlackBerry, but I am also growing a DinaFem Critical+ Auto at the same time. I’ve grown both of these strains a few times in the past with mixed results. But, I’m hoping this grow will be far greater than those in the past. My plan is to allow the Coast of Main Stonington Blend act as the ‘super soil’ it is supposed to be and not add any additional nutrients. I will however be adding RealGrowers Recharge on a regular basis (I love that stuff, it really makes a difference) and will probably also add some CalMag once in a while. But that’s all. Additionally, I do not plan on doing much training with these girls. I will LST bend them over at a 45 degree angle around the time they hit their flowering stretch, but that’s all. Bending at a 45 degree angle gives better exposure to lower branches and allows those lower branches to produce larger tops. Hoping for the best!!! Please feel free to comment and follow. Es gab heute wieder 600 ml abgestandenes Wasser, darauf kamen Alfa Boost 2 ml/l, 0,3 ml/l BioBizz CalMag und 2 ml/l Magnesiumlösung. Ph wert auf 6.5 eingestellt.Schönen Tag noch und GoodGrow 🤓

hello growers" I started the 2nd week of flora by cleaning the reservoirs, adding a new nutrient solution and adding ADVANCED NUTRIENTS BIG BUD and making a big deloliation. 👊 For the beginning of the 2nd week of flora a LOLIPOP pruning was also done. ------- We completed another week, the buds are growing at an accelerated pace. Next week when I'm cleaning the reservoirs, I'll do a new defoliation on the girls. I'm running out of space in my tent they are growing absurdly. 👽

This week was a real breeze! She's gaining a ton of weight on the bud sites and she's really growing nicely! She's starting to bud around the flowering sites and really finishing nicely. The formation of bracks and the formation of the buds is my favorite part because that's when you get to see somewhat of the final picture and the time the flower is most colorful! Now the second best part is harvesting the flower for smoking which will be occuring soon! The smell on these girls is very invigorating!! She's putting out a smell of a Apple Tart! You can smell the Apple Strudel right away when you open up the tent! I can't believe how big she's got and how beautiful they are coming along! I have to say that this is one of my favorites to grow and my favorite smelling strain! I also love the way the flowers are stacking on the colas!!! The frost on top of the cola leaves is insane! During the day I drop the humidity down to 45-50% and then at night I raise the humidity up to 60-65% which helps a ton with flower promotion during the flowering stage! Also, I raise the temperature during the day to 80° and at night I lower the temperature to 55°-60° which helps mimic the autumn temperatures that aids a ton in flower production in the flowering stage!!! I'll be stopping the two Apple Strudel Auto's from receiving any synthetic nutrients soon and flushing them once harvest is closer. It will be within the next two weeks or so! I do that because they'll stop taking nutrients in and start to self canabulize as a normal (ending) part of plant life. Then I'll give the two ladies plain pH balanced H20 for the next 2 weeks to flush any and all nutrients out of them. Then three days of darkness. Finally I'll chop them down to hang in my harvesting closet for 7-14 days with a dehumidifier on at 65% humidity. Then I'll place the flower into the trimmer and then into the grove bags for the last step in harvesting! The grove bags will keep the flower at 58-62% humidity. They also help keep the flower fresh longer, the Terpenes fresh, the Terpenes flavors, and from becoming moldy or dried out! I've used both these and the mason jars with boveda humidity packs but to me the grove bags are a must and a go to fail safe!!! All you do is hang your buds upside down at 60/60 or 65/60 for 7-10 days or until the braches snap and make that noise. Thanks and as always stay safe, stay high, and stay blessed!
