An amazing friend gifted me four clones rooted in rock wool cubes. Two clones (Frozay Pie, Black Cherry Gas) genetics I know come from Relentless. I'm not sure about the G-41 and Frosted Gelato. Clones came to me on the 17th of September in dixie cups about 6-8" in height and kept moist with what looked like stuffing bread crumbs (it wasn't just looked like it). Placed clones in a 2x2x4 spider farmers grow tent under a SF-1000 (150 watt) LED light. PPFD between 150-200.
On 9/19 transplanted the four clones into 1 gallon plastic containers using a soil medium contain FF Ocean, Happy Frog, and Light Warrior and increased PPFD to 250-300. All clones transitioned well to 1 gallon with exception of the Black Cherry Gas, which drooped a bit from under watering. I thought I lost her, but after watering with light recharge mixed in RO water, she began to recover.
First time actually growing clones, so this will definitely be a learning experience. I did not initially intend to create a grow diary, so no photos from week 1.
Week two switch to an AC Infinity 2x4x5 grow tent under a spider farmer SF-2000 200 watt LED grow light. Noticed beginnings of a spider mite infestation. Immediately treated by spraying off with mid-pressure water then sprayed down with a water and dawn soap mixtures. Ran this IPM every other day for the week. Reduced infestation, but need to find a natural or more organic solution. Been looking into Organishield b/c been hearing great things about this non-oil based treatment solution that is used as a foliar spray.
Aside from the IPM issue, clones seem to be doing well with exception of the Black Cherry Gas. Taking a while to recover from stress of under watering prior to 1 gallon transplant as well as infestation.
Week 3 Vegetation with clones during well. Still dealing with spider mites. That said, ordered Organishield for IPM and began using recommend mixture as a foliar spray towards end of week 3. I've applied two treatments at 1/2 the recommend initial usage and mites are visibly gone. I will continue to spray every other day for the remainder of week 3 into week 4 to ensure eggs are gone. I will then switch to maintenance every 7-10 days.
Week 4 continue to spray every other day with foliar IPM (mix of RO water, Organishield, EM-1). Clones transplanted from 1 gallon plastics to 3 gallon fabric bags. Soil medium a mixture of Nature's Living Soil w/FF Ocean bottom third of bag. Remaining medium is a mixture of FF Happy Frog and Light Warrior, perlite, and Mykos Xtreme (mycorrhizal root inoculant). Watered with RO water, FF cal/mag, EM-1 microbial inoculant, drops of balance, and recharge. PPFD between 400-600 with SF-2000 light 12" above w/dimmer set at 50%.
Additional Note: Transplanted a Blueberry Cupcake (Humboldt Seeds) and French Macaron (TH Seeds) from dixie cups to 1 gallon plastic containers. Transplant medium consists of FF Happy Frog, Light Warrior, Perlite, and Mykos Xtreme mycorrhizal root inoculant. 1 gallon girls set 20" below lights. PPFD between 300-320.
Plan is to eventually move 3 of the 3 gallons to a 3x3 AC Infinity tent with 4" AC fan w/carbon filter under a Mars-Hydro FC-E3000 300 watt LED. The remaining three will continue in current 2x4.
Week 5 veg - clones and Week 3 - Blueberry Cupcake (Humboldt Seed Co.) and French Macaron (TH Seeds) from seed. G-41, Frosty Gelato, and Frozay Gas topped with 2 clones each taken from cuttings to propagate placed in 2x2 clone/seedling tent with low LED lighting. Temps in low 80F w/60% ROH. Clone cuttings covered with sandwich bags used as humidity domes.
After taking cuttings transferred G-41, Frosty Gelato, and Frozay Gas to 3x3x6 AC Infinity tent under Mars-Hydro FC-E3000 set at 50 percent power (PPFD range for veg). Black Cherry Gas clone, Blueberry Cupcake, and French Macaron from seed remain in 2x4x5 AC Infinity under Spider Farmer SF-2000 with dimmer set at 50 percent power (PPFD range for veg).
Continued twice weekly IPM foliar treatment with Organishield as well as watering soil program (SP).
3x3 AC Infinity under FC-E3000 LED - applied scrOG netting and began horizontal training. Continued IPM and SP treatments. Reduced SP treatment to weekly from every other day. Spider mite infestation completely gone after using Organishield IPM program. Transferred Black Cherry Gas clone to the 3x3 tent. All four clones top dressed with BuildAFlower by BuildASoil in preparation of 12/12 switch to flower.
2x4 AC Infinity under SF-2000 LED - applied grandmaster topping to Black Cherry Gas in order to slow down vertical growth. Continued IPM and Soil Program (SP) watering treatments. Transplanted Blueberry Cupcake and French Macaron from 1 gallon to 3 gallon pots (final transplant). Later in week, I topped both BBCC and FM. I also topped the Black Cherry Gas and moved her to the 3x3 tent joining other three clones. Set SF-2000 lighting to 18".
Plants in AC tents are doing extremely well during vegetative period. PPFDs consistently between 400-600.
Continued IPM and SP program in 3x3 under Mars-Hydro FC-E3000. Top dressed with BuildAFlower by BuildASoil Week 6, Day 1. Flipped to 12/12 lighting schedule end of week 6 veg and gradually increased PPFD range between 600-900. No issues to report as girls are humming along nicely.
Continued IPM and SP program in 2x4 under Spider Farmer SF-2000. Responded nicely to topping last week. Mid-week plan to take multiple cuttings and placing into peat pellets under a humidity dome. My first attempt at cloning failed, but I hope some process changes will result some taking root.
WK2F - regular scheduled watering day 2 week 2 of flower in 3x3 tent. Beginning to see first signs of bud(lets) forming on clones. Raining this week, so increased airflow and running humidifier to maintain a 53-55% ROH. LED lighting adjusted to maintain 12" distance during flower stretch. PPFD adjusted PAR to maintain range of 600-900. Scheduled IPM foliar spray.
WK6V - regular scheduled watering day 6 week 6 in 2x4 tent. Raining so increased airflow and running humidifier to maintain 55-60% ROH. LED lighting set at 12" height during veg. PPFD adjusted PAR to maintain range of 400-600. Scheduled IPM foliar spray.
WK1V - first full watering of Afgooey Autos in one gallons day 1 week 1 in 2x2 veg tent. 12 clones (variety of cuttings) Day 7. Day6 added 1+ cups of water to base of tray to hydrate peat pellets and closed humidity vents 90% shut. Maintain high misty humidity in dome. Clones appear fine, but no sign of rooting. Maintain current environmental conditions thru days 8-9.
3x3 Clone Tent (Frosted Gelato, G-41, Frozay Pie, Black Cherry Gas) - Organishield foliar IPM and Soil Program watering treatments. Top dressed using BuildAFlower, worm castings, and FF Fruit and Flower top dressing. Week 3 defoliation in flower. Adjusted scrog netting upwards 2-3" for continued plant structure support heading into week 3 flower. Combination of cold weather, low ph, and insufficient levels of mag/cal micronutrients. Gave clones a feeding of FF Beastie Bloomz with Cal/Mag to help with macro/micro nutrients. End of week update - more bud development stacking nicely with leaves beginning to turn a variety of colors mostly reds and purples. Beautiful.
2x4 Tent (Humboldt Seed Blueberry Cupcake/TH Seeds French Macaron) - Organishield foliar IPM and Soil Program watering treatments. Applied new 2x4 AC Infinity netting for scrog plant structure support. BBCC began showing signs of rust on older lower leaves. Combination of cold weather, low ph, and insufficient levels of mag/cal micronutrients. Adjusted ph and feed FF Beastie Bloomz with Cal/Mag. End of week update - BBCC recovering nicely after treatment and nutrient feeding. Continue to take advantage of flower stretch by fanning out growth filling in empty areas of the scrog netting.
2x2 Tent (Afgooey Autos) - first application of Organishield foliar IPM and Soil Program watering treatments. Need 2-3 more days before transplant into final three gallon grow bags. Cuttings are in day 12 using peat pellets. No visible sign of rooting yet.
2x2 UPDATE: Transplanted three Afgooey Autos into 3 gallon fabric bags with FF Happy Frog, Light Warrior, and Natures Living Soil for autos and Mykos for roots. Two days later, the plants are thriving. Day 13 and cuttings beginning to show first signs of root development in peat pellets. Continue to mist and monitor for next two days before transplanting into dixie cups. End of week update - WE HAVE ROOTS. Continued vibrant growth of transplanted autos. Because of space restrictions and volume of combined grows, I will top autos in the next few days. Not normally recommended, but I have topped autos previously and if done early enough the females should recover fully prior to flowering.
3x3 Tent Clones (G-41, Frosted Gelato, Frozay Pie, Black Cherry Gas) - began noticing Ph issues, so ramped up ph test of water with nutrients and ph run off to ensure within acceptable range of 6.5 and 7. Continued watering w/Cal-Mag and SP treatments.
2x4 Tent Seeds (Humboldt Blueberry Cupcake, TH Seeds French Macaron) - began noticing stage 3 Manganese deficiencies on Blueberry Cupcake, so ramped up ph testing of water with nutrients and ph run off to ensure within acceptable range of 6.5 and 7. Continued watering w/Cal-Mag and SP treatments. Continue to monitor to determine whether to cut of keep.
2x2 Tent Autos/Clones (Afgooey Autos and variety of cuttings from above tents) - Day 21 and Afgooey Autos are in flower. 8 of 12 cuttings from 2x4 and 3x3 tents grows rooted. Ph water and applied soil preventive treatment w/recharge on day 6 of week one flower. Defoliated and LST as well on day 6.
Mid-Week Update (12/1/2022) - Noticing stress issues with plants in all tents. Watering day Thursday (12/1), so ph'd roughly 6.5 prior to watering. Run off registering roughly 6.5, so acceptable readings and determine plant issues not related to ph or nutrients. Rechecked PPFDs and found readings to be too high in all tents. 3x3 tent I raised lights (BTW maxed out in height) so reduced dimmer to 80% bringing PPFD to acceptable range (600-850). Raised lights in 2x2 and 2x4 tents as well (upward space still available). Adjusted PPFD readings in both tents to 600-850 (2x4 tent) and 450-600 (2x2 tent). Will continue to monitor plants looking for continued signs of stress or relief.
3x3 AC Infinity Grow Tent (Clones: G41, Frosted Gelato, Frozay Pie, Black Cherry Gas) - Continue to monitor Ph by adjusting RO water after adding nutrients. Smells coming from tent extremely strong even after changing out carbon filters. Flower stretch has slowed and bud formation, resins, terms, all increasing with each day.
2x4 AC Infinity Grow Tent (Seed: French Macaron and (2) Afgooey Autos) - Decided to cut down Blueberry Cupcake after major Ph issues leading to severe nutrient deficiencies. Due to space issues decided to cut bait and chop down. Will attempt to grow a Blueberry Cupcake at a later time. Total grower F'up. Centered remaining French Macaron and replaced Blueberry Cupcake with (2) Afgooey Autos that are in week 2 of flower. Continue to monitor Ph by adjusting RO water after adding nutrients.
2x2 Grow Tent ( (1) Afgooey Auto and 8 variety of clone cuttings from above tent) - Continue to monitor Ph by adjusting RO water after nutrients. Clones coming along nicely. I think a few cuttings were taken at early flower, so some clones will need time to reveg.
3x3 Tent (Variety of Clones) - Day 42 incredibly strong smells coming from tent, so checked tricomes for first time and found 90% cloudy, 15-20% amber, so decided to harvest the four plants. Black Cherry Gas could have waited another week or so before Harvest, but decided to pull along with the joining four b/c tent is doubling for drying (space issue).
2x4 Tent - Heading into week five of flower. Noticed the French Macaron had a taco effect on leaves. Decided to adjust LED lighting down to 60% to see if that helps. Ph still coming in at between 6.5 and 7. For soil this is an acceptable range, IMO. Continuing to Ph water along with weekly soil program regimen. French Macaron seem to respond to lower PPFD readings. Later in week adjusted LED from 60 to about 70% intensity. PPFD readings between 500-700.
2x2 Tent - Defoliated the one Afgooey Auto plant in the 2x2 tent with Ph/soil program watering. Applied small amount of soil program watering to clones, since they're slightly moist from previous watering. Clones continue to reveg and are showing positive signs of growth.
3x3 TENT HARVEST UPDATE - all four girls started from clone were harvested after trichome check of mostly cloudy with 15-20% amber (after only 42 days from switch). Harvested on 12/3 and jarred after 8 and 10 day dry times. Roughly four ounces of some really sticky and stinky buds. So, while girls were not big producers, the quality is primo! Glad I took cuttings of the G-41, Frosty Gelato, and Black Cherry Gas. These are the first additions to new mother tent.
2x2 Tent (8 clones and 1 Afgooey Auto) - During the week clones began showing signs of revegging. Should be ready to transplant by weeks end. Afgooey is just now starting to pre flower, which is completely opposite of her two sisters, which only vegged 3 weeks before going into flower. Gave her a good defoliation, since she is squatty, bushy and generally growing more like a true indica. Transferred clones and Auto to the 3x3 tent at weeks end.
2x4 Tent (French Macaron WK5F) - Dealing with huge Ph swing in an organic soil grow. Ph reading below 5. Began ph'ing at 7.0 - 7.5 to slowly adjust her back to normal. Transferred the two Afgooey Autos into 3x3 tent at weeks end.
3x3 Tent (3 Afgooey Autos WK3F & 8 clone varieties) - Transferred all three Afgooey Autos under Mars-Hydro FC-E3000 set at roughly 75% or roughly 500-600 PPFDs. Transplanted 8 clones from dixie cups to 1 gallon pots with PPFDs roughly 300-400. Ph'd and watered autos and clones.
2x4 Tent - French Macaron continues to experience what looks like ph lockout issues. This after two weeks corrective action of feeding slightly higher ph'd water (7.0 to 7.5) with no visible sign of improvement. So, at that point, I flushed plant with approximately 3 gallons of plain RO water. I then allowed plant to dry completely dry out before giving it a feeding of recharge. Despite the struggles I've experienced throughout this French Macaron grow, the plant is so frosty and we're only finishing week 6 heading into week 7. Relocated Afgooey Auto #3 back into the 2x4 with 12/12 light simply because it would not go into flower. Now after roughly a week, #3 is beginning to pre flower. Defoliated her quite a bit as she's squatty and bushy.
3x3 Tent - Afgooey #1 and #2 completed week 4 and halfway through week 5 of flower. Tricome and resin production kicking in as these two girls are showing signs of bud fattening, frost and smelling strong. Afgooey #2 is one thirsty girl more so the #1 and #3. Older leaves beginning to yellow at bottom of plant, which may be a sign it needs a higher level of feeding the other two plants. I transplanted clones into 1 gallons approximately two weeks ago and the babies are starting to grow nicely. A couple are growing a bit weird in shape but that should resolve itself as they gain more height. Hoping to Mother a few for future grows.
Overall, this is 9th week of flower for the entire F'22 grow season. With French Macaron beginning week 7 flower and Afgooey #1 and #2 in mid-week 5 of flower. The Afgooey #3 is just starting to form tiny budlets after an extensive defoliation as she's squatty with lots of foliage.
Updates & Observations - a lot of maintenance this week from continual ph'ing and flushing as Afgooey #2 has joined the French Macaron with low ph runoff readings. Given I'm growing in a living soil mix with periodic top dressings and teas every 7-10 days, I'm stumped. So, no more feedings for the French Macaron until harvest. Decided that next watering I will flush both girls with fresh rain water captured/stored which I have stored outside in 30 gallon barrels. Rain water tested at 7.2 ph, which to me is good enough for the flushing. It's raining for 3-4 days next week, so this will exhaust existing supply and replace with fresh rain water. Perfect timing. Will update next week.
NOTE 1: Afgooey Auto pheno #3 turns out it's a MALE. Resembled nothing like her two sisters ran at the same time. In fact, I had to move her to the 12/12 tent to initiate flowering. Little did I know or expect She would be a He. Lola by the Kinks is rattling round my brain about now ;)

2x4 French Macaron - at the time of this posting, FM is heading into week 8 flower. Second extensive flushing w/fresh rain water due to acidic conditions (ph >5). Been struggling with ph the entire flowering. I speculate ph issues due to over feeding. Ph is roughly 5.8 to 6.0 after flushing. At this point, flushing with plain RO water until harvest.
NOTE 2: I've introduced two 5 gallon bubble buckets into the 2x4 grow tent. Both buckets have medium air stones running from a 125 gph air pump. Given French Macaron isn't scheduled for harvest until mid-January, I might not have cutting ready. First grow may have to be from seed. Update later.
3x3 Afgooey Autos and clones from previous grow - Afgooey #1 and #2 are firing on all cylinders. #2 running a bit acidic (>5), so flushed back to neutral with roughly 7-8 gallons of fresh rain water ph at 7.0 to 7.2. Same with clones (i.e., ph very low). Flushed with fresh rain water too. A couple days later plants look so much better. Wait till plants nearly dry before next watering. Trimmed and cleaned up three of the clones growing weird. Felt a bit like trimming a bonzai tree. Let's see how they respond.

NOTE #1 - Raining off and on for a few weeks now, which has me concerned somewhat about controlling humidity levels as girls near respective harvest windows.
2x4 French Macaron - At time of this posting, FM is in week 9 flower and nearing recommended harvest window (65-75 days).
Continued flushing with plain RO water until harvest. Temp range 67-78 F w/ROH 50-60%. Last runoff: PH (6.56) PPM (125) Water (64.5 F)
3x3 Afgooey Autos and clones from previous grow - Afgooey #1 and #2 continued flushing with plain RO water until harvest. Temp range 65-78 w/ROH 51-60%. Runoff (#1) PH (6.24) PPM (2190) Water (64.7). Runoff (#2) PH (6.41) PPM (544) Water (64.5). Clones continue to look fine after topping. Given mixed feed of Drops of Balance, Cal-Mag, EM-1, and Recharge ph'd to 7.0 w/ppm of 253. This is a light feeding. Next feeding add FF Grow Big to bring ppm levels into the 300-500 range. See how clones respond.
NOTE #2 - Afgooey #1 PPM extremely outside upper range. Continue to monitor runoff throughout harvest window.
The clone was gifted to me from a Gromigo of mine. This grow in particular opened my eyes to how important monitoring ph and ppm are when growing in a living soil environment. I found it is so easy to not over under/over feed at crucial times during grow. Between this earlier harvest and those closing out the fall 2022 grow season monitored more closely and benefited from those efforts.
The BCG cultivar gave me immediate grief from the get go. Really struggled after transplanting from rock wool to soil. Also gave me and the other clones a spider mite infestation. BTW, Organishield is the shit when it comes to IPM. Saw results within a couple of days and in less than two weeks, spider mites were complete history.
Good experience growing out the G-41. Ran into some grower difficulties managing ph as well as ppm of runoff. She needs topping and training to expose more of the plant to light in order to increase quantity.
The breeder's info was pretty much spot on. Suggested flower time 65-75 days and she was harvested day 67. This is the second grow popping gear from TH Seeds. Consistently, branches are thick and woody. IMO, these are prime for an outdoor grow, which I have plans for this summer (i.e., too hot to grow indoors). Grown in a 5 gallon plastic, she produced 3.4 oz of some dank nugs and colas. Once I get a bit more seasoned, I definitely want another crack at growing her.
