Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. 10/29 Week 9 and she is doing great Continue to keep an eye on the trics not there at all yet Increased her light by moving a plant to another tent and focusing the the 3 LEDs on her. Time to change the nuets she is entering the home stretch. Dropping koolbloom increasing Peak and fish shit/recharge leaving bloom nuets as is just for now. The plan is currently to shift nuets to organic-ish and then just go on water only through finish, couple of days. Will continue to runoff twice a day so all salts continue to be removed. The idea is to allow her to finish clean without starving her, see how it goes. 10/30 Biology should be established, dropping recharge reducing fish shit she is ready to shift. Adding Organic Bloom nuets, strong dose initially (15 ml/gal) then 5ml/g from there. Cocotek reduced today gone tomorrow. See what happens shall we? 10/31 Nuets switched A single feed of heavy nuets and bugs then listed feeds twice a day to runoff as a flush - this is to see if any advantage, watching buds closely, still building, trics not ready still far too many clear of course. She may be a little slow but she needs to finish next week space is at a premium so hoping she finishes faster this way for one thing. Enough stress in the change so should get similar responses from the plant. PH to 6.2 Going to end the Si, no further need of it 11/1 Bud growth really popped over night, noticeable which is great considering the late stage of flower. Flushing begins for the Og kush and blueberry. All three plants are incredibly sticky, stanky, dense and heavy! The OG Kush plants are blowing my mind, I'm amazed at how much they have fattened up the last week. The super lemon haze starts week 7 and is also sticky and stanky, she's also starting to pack on weight and density.

Week 4 begins for Mandarin dreams and Divine storm. Both ladies are looking happy and I increased their feed by 1 liter each. -Esta semana simplemente las he regado un par de veces con un litro y medio cada una. -A una de las GG ya estoy haciéndole el flush final -Empiezan a enfermarse las hojas. Puede ser falta de calcio, potasio, magnesio...no lo se. Les he echado uns buena dosis de potasio y las que están más afectadas les he echado sgua limpia y un poco de potasio. -una de las GG le falta poco para cortar. El resto les quedará poco menos de un mes

Hi Gromies, well sometimes I can be my own worst enemy seems I defoliated ( actually I'll blame the apprentice Urban grow cat 😺) He defoliated a little to much, it's hard to get good help these days! Anyway she got a bit of light burn directly under light bulb area. A mix of to much defoliation & I also turned light up to super lumen setting & being lazy I hadn't hooked the extraction fan & ducting up to the light ( it's an air cooled light shade) pump air from outside tent through sealed light shade & exhaust it outside. I hooked that up & raised the light around 20 cm & all is good now, some burnt leaves. She is bouncing back & grown more leaves. It may have slowed Bud development a little! I changed light cycle to 12.5 hours of darkness 11.5 hrs on to try & kick her into gear , fool her into thinking the season is coming to an end with shorter daylight hours. I may increase dark period a little more bit by bit, experiment a little, I've read of other growers who give plants less light around week 6 till harvest. She is getting a faint lemony smell. Lollipoped some of the smaller secondary branches, any tips low down not receiving much light & don't look like they will get much bigger, other than that I'm leaving her alone, probably just try & seperate any close growing colas so we don't get any Bud rot.
