What up family, weekly update on one of my favorites, these ApricotAutos are growing amazing, they bounced back pretty good after fixing the ph issue I caused. The temps have been in the mid 80's with the light on and because I have to crank my fans the humiditys been around 50% which is lower then I'd prefer. All in all though Happy Growing.

Gave the 2nd dose and flipped to flower on 22/06 Kinda heavy defoliation on 24/06 🤞🏻

As soon as I received these seeds I dropped them in a bowl of water @10am on April 30th. Planted directly into soil 7pm at sundown on the 30th. I wet the soil because it was dry. I prefer moist but settled for wet. The temperature was warm enough for germination week. The evenings were still lower 60's F, but the days warmed up above 70 °F. Night 1 it was dry with low 60's F Day 1 we had good sunshine and low 70's F. Day 2 We received a heavy rain in the afternoon and intermittently that night into the morning of the 3rd day (May 3) Our temps cooled off with the rain and we didn't get above 72° F. It was a little wetter than I prefer, but our soil drained well and fastbuds genetics can handle the less than perfect condition. Two popped on May 3rd (day 3) and the last popped on May 4th (day 4). The above listed nutrients were premixed into the soil at the listed rates per gallon of soil.

Bella oggi finalmente ho iniziato il ciclo di fioritura, due piante mostrano segni di carenza di magnesio ? O nitrogen nn so....solo quelle due le altre sembrano apposto ,oggi ho defogliato un po' e tolto i rami più bassi che nn prendono luce , le due auto ancora sinceramente non so da dove provengono saranno semi che mi avranno regalato e sono finiti in mezzo..... comunque procedono bene iniziano a buttare resina e di questo ne sono contento. Ho spostato le piante con i vasi più grandi verso il fondo sembrano promettere bene. Ci si vede al prossimo update.

I must say, these ladies do not want to finish! I still haven't observed any amber trichomes and they're getting rather plump! The flowers are beautiful and smell complex! Strong scents of diesel, floral and sweet. I have dropped the lights to 75% and have reduced the photoperiod to 10/14 in an attempt to push them to finish. The resulting DLI is 32. The temperatures have been brought down. 70°f during the day and 58°f during the night. I am highly anticipating the initiation of the dry-back, which is signaled by the first sign of amber. Less than two weeks left I would guess, but these ladies can take all the time they need. I have very high hopes for making top-shelf flower as well as trying to make some fresh frozen bubble hash for the first time! I'm surprised there hasn't been signs of hunger. But they appear happy and healthy! While there hasn't a nitrogen deficiency, the leaves are adopting a purple on some leaves. Very pretty! I'm looking forward to doing some updates about whether or not I saw sucess in the bubble hash. As well, I would like to update about my drying and curing methods. I've been doing research on the mechanisms involved in a dry and cure that provides the best smoke! My previous runs all had particular issues, whether it was poor enviornmental control or failing to purge the the off-gassing of drying flowers. I have high hopes! This week went great! The plants love the new lights and exploded quickly! I started 12/12 lighting today and can’t wait to see how this goes!!

Esta semana ya realice la poda. Se encuentra en estos momentos en etapa de secado dentro de una caja especial para secados de flores que uso siempre y nunca me falla. En humedo hay 195g y utilice una lampara led de 150w en todas sus etapas. Próximamente estaré publicando cuando este en curado.

WEEK 8 (04/18/2021 - 04/24/2021) Day 59: 04/18/2021 Defoliated some growth from each plant before I installed my custom-built SCRoG net made of: pvc piping, drywall screws, and jute twine for the netting. It’s slightly smaller than the tent, 41”x41” with a second level for another net. It fits perfectly, leaving plenty of room to work around the edges and move the fan around if needed. Immediately after defoliation and installing the net, I watered using ½ strength Botanicare Hydroguard. Watering was different. I used a battery-powered liquid transfer pump to help water the plants a little faster and more efficiently. Also helps to reach the plants I can’t access as easily in the corner. I am unable to test/collect any of the runoff at the moment since installing the net, which wouldn’t be an issue by itself, but my saucers are just barely large enough to fit the base of the 5 gallon pots into. I have no way of sticking a pH pen or TDS meter in the runoff. They simply won't fit between the pot and the saucer. This is extremely unfortunate, as I am now unable to monitor the ppm of the soil with each watering. Will have to pick up some larger saucers soon or think of another solution. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 61: 04/20/2021 ‘Tis the season to be medicated. Happy Holidaze! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 62: 04/21/2021 Upping the amount of water going into the pots this watering. Previously I was doing 1 gallon of water per 5 gallon pot. I’m increasing the amount of water to 1.5 gallons. Hopefully that will produce enough runoff for taking measurements. It’s going to be a painfully difficult task to take readings but I really need to know what the condition of the soil is right now. Will not be using any nutrients this time considering the runoff was kind of high when I fed on 4/10. This seems a little risky though since it has been 11 days since a nutrient feed, but I’d rather not burn the plants by blindly adding nutrients. Will return. Hopefully with measurements. (some amount of time later) Tap water: 245ppm, 6.1 pH (9 gallons) pH Down: 30ml JB#1 - 2730ppm, 7.0 pH JB#2 - 2290ppm, (pH pen died again on this plant) AP#1 - 2380ppm, 6.9 pH AP#2 - 3610ppm (seems extremely high), 7.0 pH GC#1 - 2320ppm, 6.9 pH GC#2 - 2340ppm, 7.1 pH I don’t know what was up with the measurements on the AP#2. The saucers the pots are sitting in are a little small so I think the ppm might have been reading high because the bottom of the fabric pot was sitting in the runoff. Maybe I’m just saying that to reassure myself. Either way, the 3000+ ppm seemed very off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 66: 04/24/2021 Defoliation + weaving/securing branches through SCRoG. I'm not 100% sure that the SCRoG was the most optimal technique of choice given the very limited space within the grow tent. Also, I almost feel like I installed the screen a little late. Maybe not? Either way, I have read about them and the potential of increased yields, which got me excited enough to build one to try out for myself. I was aware going into it that there would be some difficulties using a SCRoG. I can no longer move my pots around is the main thing. Not being able to move the pots around has increased the difficulty factor of watering/feeding. I now have to access 3 different sides of the tent to get all 6 plants. I've clipped all the ties holding the branches down from previous LST sessions. There was just no way I was going to spend hours weaving in and out of all the ties trying to water each plant while also dealing with the difficulties of a SCRoG obstructing the work space. That would also wreck my poor back. From here, things are going to get real exciting. Tomorrow (04/25) I am rescheduling the light cycle to 12/12 to initiate flowering. Another 60-70 days to go, growing buds and packing on trichomes. With that said, I'm excited to have made it through my very first full vegetative cycle. I've definitely made my fair share of mistakes, as expected, but as long as I keep learning from them future harvest will only continue to increase in quality and yield. One week into flower. The fan leaves ate growing back fast. Ill defoliate and trim the lowers in about a week time. I started giving them green sensation. Power buds. And sugar royal. From day one of flower this time.

This thing was very easy to grow. Liked low PPMs in flower. Around 600 was plenty for her. Will report taste and effects when curing is complete.

Welcome to my MilkyWay F1 Auto Diary, Untopped VS topped. Results are in. Days 71-82 ripening 0-13 week 11&12 Went well. She did bulk up a tad. But not much. They spent most their lives under a 100w. But, the bud is really dense all over. No larf, at all. Its a really good quality of bud I'm getting from both phenos. As far as ToppedVsUntopped well, that result is in. With a seeds used from the same pack (same parent) making true F1s as they need to be from the same batch. It why we all got different phenos, and those who ran more than 1, from their seeds, the phenos are very close. One of mine had more of a fade and looks more purple. Both smell very lovely & fruity. Nice trichome production with very dense but, rather small buds if I do say so. But the grade itself is very high. (As grade is not rated on size) overall both turned out very similar. Even fade wise, they've both developed a lovely colour finishing under high co2 environment with the SE5000 really has brought out a lot of fade i normally do not get. look at the start. It was only a few days under this light and the past 14 days they've both popped. I will also say. A lot of their life was spent under a 12-12 (3/5s of flowering). Topped VS Untopped pheno 2 & 1 Are very similar as I've stated this area will be filt in with harvest comments. Bud smell. How the dry went. And after a weeks cure. I'll rate it. So watch this space. These 2 phenos have been on just water for 10 days. I did a quick run off test. Got back 145ppm my tap is 110. So, they're good to go. Trichome wise. 95% cloudy 30-35% amber. (Hard to see, I'll try get pics with my scope) but, as you see. Both are fully ripened. Anymore and its just bud deg. Both plants leaves are showing end of life. Some are dying. (I'VE BEEN WATCHING THESE LEAVES AND SEEN THEY'VE BEEN DEAINED, ITS NOT BR) Lights The SE5000 was used for the Ripening phase. With high temps and co2 i pushed my boundaries and got a lovely fade reaction from doing so. How I know its down to this light as I've put my Runtz under it. And as soon as I did. It developed fade. My Frosted G even started getting light purple on its sides. The temp in tent has been pushed to 31-33c (that's not leaf temp as I've fans blowing on my plants, and that lowers surface temps by a few degrees.) They've been on 17hrs of high powered light. At 25-30cm id no choice. My temps are mad high this time of year. Harvested Both plants are been pult they're getting their last few hrs. You'll then see the last few pics in a few hrs. I'll get bud shots later, smoke reviews and then to be fair. I'll then mark it by the GD rating system. As I do with all my strains. (So I've 2-3 wk delay in my diaries as they're Harvested, mostly) both plants I'll try push them as far as I can through the drying process whole. But, as I'm dealing with high temps. Lower RH and a fastercl dry is pref to a longer dry in hot conditions might not make sense, but 30+ hot weather harvests, I've got this down. Mind you only this round all my other hot harvests some took a few weeks to rid the hay smell. This avoids it and locks in potency. Most of the drying is done by leaving the plant in the substrate just before the plant goes for itself for fluids. 4-5 day dry as opposed to 5-6 day dry with weed that loses half its stenght. (dry harvesting look it up) Thanks to James from RQS, although I know everyone and their sister got the offer for these seeds I am defo going to be trying more from RQS, if it's buying. I'll get round to it, and depending on the quality of smoke it might be soon. If its a real nice auto, I'd love to try a fem of theirs for my winter crop in October. But, that'll depend. I've lots I want to buy & try.. and when favs are found. I'll invest. I would like to thank everybody for the activity this diary has gotten. Its possibly one of my most active diaries I've done without a harvest. And that's in no short means down to all the views and likes from you guys. And for sure I will fully complete it, with results on the smoke Quality from both phenos, if it varies, but, results thus far, structure wise they're shockingly similar. Scary so. Topping has very little affect to the structure. She grew a main cola. But both phenos, turned puples I will say the topped one was a more troublesome plant. Maybe that had a role onin its morphology. And maybe it'll affect the bud also. The topped was more demanding nutrient wise, and drank more. Maybe to support a more even bud load. (I've yet to do a through inspection, but on the VS front, it's kinda in the air about quality, structure wise, it had very little difference. Look for yourself at the heights are 3-4cm dif) lots still to come. And I'll update it soon with more results. one tank, the left side, went bad water... some kind of something in the water... some kinda growth or thingie.... so .... i went after the bad water tank hard... pulled it out... scrubbed the tank... scrubbed it all... the funny thing about this is.... these plants are both 50 days old.... haha.... i put em into a type of suspended animation .... lol they are just now starting to hook onto the solutions and are now both feeding.... the growth rate will increase exponentially over a short amount of time, now that they have both hooked onto the neut water and are growin roots thru the clay balls....... (look close at them, notice the first stage 3 leafs ? so u know what stage of growth, 3 leaf and 5 leaf and 7 leaf.... etc... so 50 days and u can clearly see the first stage 3 leafs... lol) (this probably has some major implications for growing food in space) 👍😎
