I am just harvesting today. She smells sweet and berries with a earthy aroma. She was grown in just a gallon of perlite. Very nice frosty plant. Looks and smells delicious. I will update on smoke report. Update: a very sweet, and fruity flavor. Great potency, and smells like sweet, creamy, strawberries. She grew great for a 1 gallon potter with just perlite. I would highly recommend. 🌱

I am harvesting Ztrawberriez autoflower. She grew in a 1 gallon perlite Ice cream bucket. She did excellent under the Spider Farmer SE3000. The worst issues I had was keeping her moist. She did really well. I am eager to try her out. Thank you Spider Farmer, and Fast Buds. πŸ€œπŸ»πŸ€›πŸ»πŸŒ±β„οΈπŸŒ± Thank you grow diaries community for the πŸ‘‡likesπŸ‘‡, follows, comments, and subscriptions on my YouTube channelπŸ‘‡. β„οΈπŸŒ±πŸ» Happy Growing 🌱🌱🌱 https://youtube.com/channel/UCAhN7yRzWLpcaRHhMIQ7X4g If anyone needs to purchase fastbuds here is a link for my affiliate program https://myfastbuds.com/?a_aid=60910eaff2419

I've thought about this. Perlite or vermiculite would give the roots more aeration thus more available oxygen. To me it seems like it would be basically a Hydro grow. But they perlite won't hold the nutes and make it available to the roots? This is my understanding of it?

@@DoughHead, Pure perlite grow was my favorite medium for couple runs, never have issues
WhiteEdge
WhiteEdge
@Roberts, Right!
Roberts
Roberts
@@DoughHead, perlite holds water as well as air. When it gets bigger it will be a twice a day feeding with a smaller Potter. But I am trying to do something different looking, and it might turn out special in long run. πŸ€” πŸŒ±πŸ‘πŸ»

Are there any benefits to running in straight perlite? It’s not something I’ve ever considered.
Roberts
Roberts
@PersonalSmok3s, algae may start where light can get to. Once plant starts growing it will vanish. Plus the algae won't hurt it anyway. Coco, and perlite kinda work the same just perlite allows for drainage better. Just coco releases potassium as it bio degrades.
PersonalSmok3s
PersonalSmok3s
@Roberts, Would it not be prone to getting an algae build up or other wet, moisturey ailments? I get what your saying about it being like coco and it probably allows for better oxygen around the root zone, Its never crossed my mind to do it πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
Roberts
Roberts
@PersonalSmok3s, it's like running in coco. It holds air and moisture. Can't really over water. Basically Hydro in a potter.

Good luck and happy growing. 100% perlite was my medium off choice for many grows. Excellent results always. Stop using it only because off dust when its dry
