‖ WEEK 5 UPDATE ‖ Hello fellow growers and cannabis enthusiasts, I hope ya’ll are having a good day. I put a bit more information this time. Below are a few things I’ll go over for this weeks update ◻️ Growth ◻️ Nutrients ◻️ Pests ◻️ Thoughts ‖ SHORT VERSION ‖ Some of the girls grew about ~12 inches or ~30 centimeters, this surprised me! Never saw that level of growth before. I gave them a bloom booster to help with their transition to week 2 - 3 of flower, this should kick in the bud development. I inspected the little ones and noticed signs of Thrips, annoying buggers. I treated them with neem oil and a time released pest fumigator strip (last 3 months). I gave all the girls Flower Fuel a granular bloom booster I got off of amazon last year. I never had issues with it though I haven’t used beastie blooms or other common bloom boosters on the market. The week after next (week 7) I’ll add powdered amendments to keep them going till harvest. I may even amend at week 6 so they get a head start on breaking down all the organic materials. Everything is ph’d to ~6.5, the girls are looking healthy and will be ready for feeding soon. ‖ PESTS ‖ Found a few thrips around, still managing the white flies okay but I’ll need to tackle the thrips immediately to prevent stunted growth and stress to the girls. I use neem oil, green cleaner (not the kitchen disinfectant) and a slow release fumigation strip that helps with most pest. ‖ FINAL THOUGHTS ‖ This week has gone well, again I was surprised with the growth rate during this week. The stretch period is still going for some of the girls so I’ll keep updating on their individual growth stats for the next couple of weeks. I’ll need to inspect my plants a bit more carefully so I don’t miss any signs of stress, pests , etc. I may be partially blind but I can still make a better effort in spotting these potential issues, I’m still learning :) Well, it’s been a great week, got some work ahead of me. *increased ppm from 1050 to 1100 *i don’t see a lot of bud production but they do show a lot of heavy frost. *one of the strains has long colas while the other ones remain short.

She is now in preflower showing budsite/tops. So far i counted 10. Still doing LST and did a light defoliation removing maybe 5 leaves. She is growing nicely with a decently even canopy. I have started 1/4 strength nutrients. Calmag, fox farms big bloom, and fox farms tiger bloom.

7/2 Last week it was extremely hot (80's-90's) with cold nights. We had a severe thunderstorm last night and it's raining like crazy today. I didn't spend time in the garden as it was pouring. However I defoliated yesterday briefly. I had maybe a half dozen leaves yellow and die a couple days after the organicide application. They were mostly the largest oldest fan leaves most infected with pm. A couple smaller interior leaves yellowed and died as well but they were the leaves most infected. I assume that's normal. As I defoliated I noticed my first aphid of the season. I saw a few dead ones the organicide killed and a couple that were alive. Aphids aren't a big deal. They'll be evicted soon enough. I haven't seen one spot of pm though since the application. Maybe a little on a dead leaf but it seems to be working good. Didn't take pictures today but needed one to update the diary. Trying to upload videos but they take forever. 7/3 Ridiculously hot all last week. Extremely hot yesterday then a severe thunderstorm but it cleared to 90 degrees with 90%rh. This environment is a fungal nirvana. Still a slight smell from the organicide. I'm glad I used it though. I threw away some more leaves but this is the time that starts happening anyway. Before the stretch. With the ideal conditions I saw WPM rear it's head again. Only this time the organicide seemed to still have a residue. The PM only infected the super old biggest fan leaves and a few tiny tiny leaves on the very interior of the plant. I didn't know I had aphids but I've found a few dead on the underside of leaves I defoliated. So it seems to be working. My plants are growing towards the sun (partially due to my tarps which I need to be legal) which make airflow harder to maintain. My dad gave away my pallets this year. I had planned to put bags and supports on pallets with some sort of wheel so I could spin them. Oh well I'll do that next year in my new location. I have also found moth holes in couple leaves so BT it will still be needed. If videos didn't take so long to upload I would have a bunch. Happy growing. 7/5 Watered lightly (as it had been 90's) before feeding three gallons to the garden. Noticed some telltale leafhopper signs on a 9lb kush. The organicide seems to be doing a decent job of keeping PM at bay. The blueberry is now the worst it seems. I'm planning on another application before I try anything heavier. The fishy smell is now totally gone. Plants seem healthy and are a nice dark green. I have had some problems that have effected my ability to fully care for my girls. I have some defoliation I need to do. I also see moths sometimes in the morning plus the pm and the random munch. I guess that's to be expected outside but I need to get on top of this shit. I also have more LST I could be doing. 7/6 Rained all night and still off and on. Can't see any pm but I've found a few spots on the blueberry that could be septoria. I'm going to hit them either tonight or tomorrow with the organicide and if it doesn't work I may try a sulfer based fungacide. Took a few pictures. I need to defoliate as well. 7/7 Uploaded some duplicate pics accidentally. If I could've created the perfect environment for fungal infections I don't think I could've done better than yesterday. Hence the organicide. I was surprised it wasn't pronounced and only a little here and there. Also saw leaf hopper and pillar damage so hopefully this will straighten that out. Blueberry seems weak in it's stalk. I'm not sure if the wind is blowing it against that hard metal circle around it. It may have septoria. If it does I'll have to switch to something different or junk the plant. 7/8 This sucks. I can see signs of leaf septoria on the GDPs. This is definitely not a strain for the Maine climate. It's not resilient enough against diseases. This year has been particularly bad with 40 degree temp swings and rain then bright hot sun. I couldn't engineer better conditions. I appears senescence starts at the same time looking back over the past four years. However maybe that's just the life cycle of the earwigs. Oh yeah. I raked the inside of the grow bag with my hand and AT LEAST a half dozen earwigs came out RIGHT FROM THE SOIL IN THE BAG. I dealt with these prehistoric bastards last year and lost half my harvest. They eat other insects but the spread disease like crazy and they DO eat your plant while leaving behind the worst bacteria and plant disease. I have research to do. Like I said. This sucks. I'm changing locations next year but I need some help dealing with the septoria and the earwigs or I'll be fucked again. I defoliated anything that looked suspect. Still need to improve airflow.

11/03 - Comenzo su primera semana en etapa de crecimiento. Pego el estiron mas rapido ahora, esta midiendo 10 cm de alto. Seguramente la deje 3 semanas en crecimiento. 7/9/29 día 1 de floración Esto arranca amigos, por desgracia lo hace con unas temperaturas altísimas, con maximas de incluso 32 grados debido a la ola de calor que estamos sufriendo. Ya hemos montado el sistema de riego y lo hemos preogramado para regar durante 1min cada 4h durante el día. La solución la hemos preparado con los productos Cyco arriba descritos, con una ec de 1 y un ph de 6,1. Por otro lado nuestro jardín. Esta iluminado por 4 barras led 100w de solux, y un lec solux de 630w aunque por el momento está a 315w debido a las altas temperaturas. Para empezar la floración lo hacemos con una defoliación y una poda de ramas bajas. Estaremos atentos a cambios en las pequeñas para intentar mantener en cada momento la alimentación adecuada, sin carencia y sin excesos. No te lo pierdas!! 9/9/20 día 3 de floración Buenas, nuestras pequeñas se aclimatan bien a la nueva alimentación y a su nuevo medio. Aumentamos la ec del tanke a 1,1ec y seguimos manteniendo el ph a 6,1. Por otro lado las temperaturas parece que disminuyen por lo que pasamos el lec de 315w a 415w, manteniendo así unas temperaturas diurnas de entre 26 y 27 grados. Esperemos que continúen descendiendo hasta poder mantener las temperaturas a 23 grados durante todo el día. La humedad ronda el 40% y estaremos atentos para que no suba de ahí. And she's off 👊🏻 Got a good bit of growth in this week. Super cropped a few of the branches cause they shot right past the others. Perked right back up though no worries. Officially on flower now, she's a light feeder through veg I had to cut the nutes right down, let's hope I can get a bit into her through flower, she is starting to drink a lot more anyway so we'll see. All good here, couple more weeks and I reckon she'll be good to pollinate.

The third week is over, and the ladies have finished their stretching phase. This meant one last trimming. I removed all the solar eclipses that were on a flower. This way, every flower receives light and photosynthesis is absorbed through the lower part. This way, I achieve maximum yield and no undeveloped flowers

So this week after I gave it under nutrients I apparently gave it too much nitrogen while having a potassium deficiency. Shiney dark leaves, So i fixed that, but some didn't bounce back, and I tried nitrogen. I think they are doing pretty good considering everything I've put them through SO FAR. lol. Nutrients are NPK Raw's total lineup, follow their instructions at first, Fastbuds adjustments as of this week.

Parece que ha terminado de estirar. Practico una defoliación intensa para airear los futuros cogollos y dejar mas espacio en el cuarto de cultivo. Agrupo de nuevo las macetas en su lugar optimo para asi rellenar por completo la carpa @marshydro. Me quedé algo corto de nutrientes pero estoy muy contento con los resultados, cada vez le voy encontrando mas su punto optimo. Siempre es mejor quedarse corto que pasarse.
